Season Six: Preseason
Preseason.. a chance to gel and build as a team
Fixture List

This is the fixture list that I scheduled. Bear in mind that we got a few friendly proposals coming our way so things will change in the next screenshot - just warning you. We've got a good mix of opposition here, teams on our level and team below and above it, too. Hopefully this bodes well for the new season.

Upon reflection I think we can come away with a lot of positives after this preseason. Cardiff, of the SkyBet Championship, proposed a friendly and we duly accepted. After beating off Vitoria Setúbal and Cadiz, albiet late on against the latter, we hosted the Welsh side in what I thought was going to be a loss for us.
Still, we proved we are a good side and with a sturdy defensive performance we managed to run away with a morale-bumping win in the second half thanks to our Argentine sensation Sergio Liparoti.
Wins against the rest of our opponents meant we finished the preseason looking sharp and fired up and ready to go. Team chemistry is high and the tactics we've set out for this season look good for what we have in our side.
Player of Preseason
Monteiro had a piece of everything we did in preseason. Whether it be a goal, assist or just a key pass or dribble, he was the centre of everything we did.

Europa League Draw
CFC Genoa
Genoa CFC, led by Gianpiero Gasperini, are a challenge but a winnable one. We play at home first and have to avoid defeat otherwise I fear this tie will be well and truly over before it began!
The Month Ahead
Much like last season, this season will be updated in either two or three really sharp blocks, just for me to catch up. I'll delegate individual updates to
some Europa League games, providing we qualify, and then maybe I'll be able to go back to normal?
