Is it even in doubt :P?

Can't wait to see who you end up drawing!
Everyone: Thanks guys, it was a shock as Feliks showed us all :)) I must say I've been consulting the tactical genius known as TVDLC123 ahead of our campaign to give me some tips he used for his Red Star side, who won the competition unexpectedly, so hopefully this pays off!

Season Six Part One

Is that Ronaldinho playing on Oriental's turf?!

I'm sorry to have to cram it in to two or three big updates, but the story will never get going if I don't do it, so here is part one of our season six. In this season we'd be playing League, League Cup, Cup and Continental football so I tried to get as many transfers done as possible to create depth, here's how we did.

But firstly, our Europa League group. After defying the odds of making it to this stage... things didn't get any easier as we were given possibly the hardest group of all. In order to get out of this group we'll have to shut up shop.

Europa League Groups

We've been handed an extremely tough group, and if I have to be brutally honest, I think it's going to be hard to come away with any points from this one. Still, we'll enjoy the ride and try our hardest.

*Note: Groups G, H & I seem to be missing, sure we won't worry that much about them though!

Transfers

As Griffo reminded me in the comments, I have completely forgotten about transfers! This is due to a computer crash I experienced about a week ago, and I guess I never recovered the file. Anyway, here are the signings:

Again, apologies for the laziness, after season six and seven updates will return to normal and I can greatly improve this story after a few below par updates.

Season Six Results

Well, overall I must say I'm very pleased with the quality of football being played and we're getting the results to show for it. The 1-0 win over Vitoria Guimarães was key to start our season and Ryan Kabir's 89th minute tap in against Galatasaray means we are within a chance of progressing from our group despite losing to Red Bull Salzburg.

Late goals have been key to our season so far. Sergio Liparoti scored a late 84th minute equaliser against Sporting in what was the big east Lisbon derby. Pedro Monteiro also joined the fun with his 85th minute winner sparing our blushes against bottom side Belenenses.

Europa League-wise, we've done amazingly! In fact, we even managed to be on the brink of qualification with one game to go, I think it may already be sealed!

League Table

After these fantastic months of football we find ourselves up with the big boy FC Porto, sitting in second place behind the giants who are only edging us on goal difference. We are yet to play Porto themselves but hopefully we can maintain this pace.

At the other end of the table, Belenenses and Moreirense look in a bit of strife early on in the season.

Other News

After some fantastic form the chairman pulled me into the office to talk about a new two year contract, and it wasn't hard for me to put my signature down on the dotted line despite the typically low wages still being offered.

Hopefully in the next season or two the continental football money will mean I get a little bigger paycheck, but right now I'm happy with where we're going.

The Month Ahead

Next month... we can seal qualification for the Europa League knockout rounds and also push on in our league campaign. The match against FC Porto will be tough and could decide whether we make a serious title run or if we go for continental football.
YOU BEAT BRAGA HOW DARE YOU. NOT FOLLOWING ANYMORE.
I forgot to follow this story and now I'm confused because you made this useless club good :P
Great work so far this season, flying high in the league and you may even make the knockout stages in Europe!! :D
You're doing amazing Walt!
Fantastic work Walter :D
Lovely update and some great results too!
Impressive season so far, would like to see the group table and your transfers though...

Jesus, thank you for reminding me - transfers will be edited into the post! As for the groups, well I don't have a photo but me and Red Bull Salzburg are on the cusp of qualification.
Nice Europa group, good luck in Europa!

Author's Notes

Just wanted to say thanks again for another Story of the Month nomination, despite, in my opinion, a bit of an off month. School has really taken it's toll on this story, but soon it should be back to normal - I promise.

Thank you to all who have made this story continue for so long and I hope it can get even better.
