I'm impressed you got that close considering the result in the first leg.

January

Another month of inconsistency has hit us again with 2 wins and 2 losses coming in December. both losses came away from home. our away form has been dreadful this campaign with our record currently sitting at 5-3-4, if you look at it you cant really say thats the form of Belgian Champions and its something we will have to work on in the final two months of the season if we are to lift the title
Im suprised we are still competing for the title despite our terrible month. i think the current unpredictability has helped us alot with none of the big teams really havent taken control of the league when the opportunity has arisen. we definitely need to improve if we are to lift the title in March

Injury News

Anderlecht wonderkid Dennis Praet has been ruled out of action for around 2 months with a torn hamstring and is set to miss the rest of the campaign. this is a big blow to Anderlechts title challenge as he has been a key cog to the way we have played thus far
very inconsistent..alternating the good performances with the bad ones...

February

What a turn around in fortunes this month with 4 wins from 4 and and only one condeded, now this is the form of champions!!, we had two very big matches this month in Lokeren and Zulte Waregem who are 3rd and 6th respectively, both sides were/are fighting for the title and we hardly broke into a sweat against either side.
if we continue this kind of form i cant see anyone stopping us claiming Anderlecht's third title in succession and first under my management

still plenty to play for in the league as we start to hit its final stages. with 5 teams still mathematically able to claim the title this will go down as one of the most exciting finishes to a season Belgium has seen in many a year
Great month!

Bruno sparks interest from former employers

reports coming from World Soccer have claimed that Anderlecht are interested in signing Red Bull Salzburg attacking midfielder Massimo Bruno, Bruno has been in good form this season playing 22 matches and scoring 8 helping Salzburg storm toward yet another title.
Massimo Bruno is a former player at Anderlecht having spent two years at the club between 2011-13 notching up 33 appearences and scoring 7 goals. a move looks unlikely at the minute but with the window opening in a few months expect to hear more from this
He would be a great signing!

March

Only 2 matches were played this month as the regular 30 match season came to a close, we we finished off with a win and draw against Standard Liege and Lierse respectively meaning we finished the top heading into the championship playoff group. After a disappointing few months we have managed to extend our unbeaten run to 6 matches which has upped the confidence within the squad leading them to play some beautiful attacking football

the regular season came to a close this month with Anderlecht finishing top by two points, i believe we are very lucky to be sitting top at this stage because our form has been very inconsistent which has seen us lose 7 times in the league at this point, lucky the teams around us failed to capitalise when we slipped up. Cudos to the lads though for sticking together through the tough times of the season and fully backing my ideas ive laid down to them. we now head into the Championship playoff group where 10 more matches are played to determine the winner of Jupiler League for the 2013-14 season

Anthony Vanden Borre on his way out

Anthony Vanden Borre looks set to leave Anderlecht in the coming months as Al-Gharrafa and Al-Ahli have both tabled bids in the region of $2,800,000 which according to reports the Anderlechht hierachy have accepted. Anthony has been a consistent performer this season but with the clubs finances far from steady Fabio Cannavaro looks set to be cashing in on some of the higher earners within the squad.

April

Championship Group

7 matches were played this month in the Championship Group with a record of 5-1-1, weve finally clicked into gear and half almost looked unstoppable, Matias Suarez and Aleksander Mitrovic have in particular been very solid scoring 10 goals between them at 5 a piece.
if we continue this kind of form it will be very hard to stop us claiming yet another Belgian title

with the season only having 3 matches left we are 8 points clear at the top meaning we only require two points to clinch the title. Genk, Standard Liege and Zulte Waregem are our remaining fixtures so 7 points minimum is the expectation here
Mitrovic has been a killer. Great player, and great results. Congrats for 1st position. I am sure that you will be champion.
Anderlecht claim there third successive Jupiler League title
with only 3 matches remaining all we needed was two points to clinch the title, pressure was well and truly on against Genk and the younger players in the squad were showing signs of being very nervous prior and during the match. Genk went onto win the match 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Jelle Vossen.
Anderlecht would wrap it all up in the next match though with a very convincing 1-0 over Standard Liege, Zulte Waregem would be our opponents for the final match of the season but which the title already wrapped up it was more like a training match in which we ran out 2-0 winners

we did it!!! Anderlecht are champions of Belgium again.. we finished the season 9 points clear at the top with our main rivals for most the season Genk finishing second. somw feel we could have won the title by a much bigger margin but for complacency in matches against the little sides putting a damper on the final ladder

Fabio Cannavaro signs a new deal

For so long it looked like it wasnt going to happen but Anderlecht have announced that Fabio Cannavaro has officially put pen to paper on a new 3 year deal which runs until 30th June 2017.
Fabio had had been attracting attention from several European clubs such as Bastia and Zenit St Petersburg. the French newspaper Le'quippe actually had Fabio at $3.00 favourite to take the Bastia hotseat but according to the Cannavaro corner that was never an option because he has a project in place at Anderlecht and is happy to see it through.
Congratulations!
Solid league win bud
