Leverkusen Sign Dragas

Dragas has been touted as the next Lucas Neill, and after a disappointing first season at Sydney FC he decided to put himself on the market. Bids of £1.5 million were accepted from Internazionale and Leverkusen but Dragas chose the latter. The youngster will surely develop in his new environment and Socceroos fans will be relishing in this news.
The sale also benefits Sydney FC, who have been going through some financial hardships of late. The colossal £1.5 million fee should alleviate it a bit, and also sees them make a huge profit on Dragas after purchasing him for just £3,210 last season. The dual sale of Dragas and Frame sees the Sky Blues pocket a handy £2,375,000 and with potential superstar Daniel Batty joining the club they will be optimistic for even more money.
Dragas will meet up with his new teammates (including fellow Aussie Robbie Kruse) shortly.
