Ricardo Rodriguez
Wolfsburg will be facing their first challenge of the year in Gladbach. Gladbach beat Wolfsburg in their first game this year, thanks to a hat-trick from Raffael and Wolfsburg will be looking for revenge. The game had fairly little chances in the first-half. But Gladbach would have the upper-hand thanks to a bad tackle from Christian Träsch that earned him a red card. But one of the most boring second halves you will ever see meant that the game would finish in a 0-0 draw. Ricardo Rodriguez picked up the man of the match, he had a very good passing and defensive game.

Memphis Depay, Ivan Perisic
Last time these teams played, Dunlop's job was under speculation and the team was not playing well, HSV were also playing very well at this point. But since then, they have only not won 7 of their last 25 and now that Dunlop will be at the club for a longer time, they will be the certain favourites. The first half was one of the most chanceless halves you can watch, but the first 10 minutes of the second half featured a lot more. No more than 20 seconds after the half-time whistle, Memphis Depay went on another spectacular run, dribbling around 4-5 people, he then put another incredible finish past the keeper(1-0). 5 minutes later, HSV replied with a terrific header from a corner from Vossen(1-1). Moments later, some terrific build up play from Wolfsburg, let Depay put Perisic through, and finish the goal(2-1). Despite many more chances, that would be how the game finished, with Wolfsburg winning 2-1. The man of the match was striker Memphis Depay, who scored one of the goals of the season and assisted another, he has been in great form recently.

Memphis Depay x2
Another game where Wolfsburg should win. They are projected as favourites for this game and the current form they are in you would think that they would do well to lose. The game started well for Wolfsburg, who after endless shots on goal, finally got away an accurate one with Memphis Depay who put the goal away(1-0). When Wolfsburg attempted their signature corner move again, it worked, with Memphis Depay putting away his second(2-0). The second half did not feature the same spark as the first, and the game would finish with the same score. The man of the match was Robin Knoche, who made some great clearances and assisted one of Depay's goals.

Memphis Depay
The first game of the EUROPA league knockout stage puts a German side against a Turkish side. The currently undefeated side in the EUROPA league, Wolfsburg should win this game easily. The game did not start well for Wolfsburg though, who thanks to an error from Timo Horn allowed a goal into the back of the net(0-1). But shortly after, a great move from Wolfsburg allowed Memphis Depay to put away his third in two games(1-1). Maximillian Arnold thought he had taken the lead for Wolfsburg, but the goal was disallowed. That is how the game would finish, 1-1. Wolfsburg will be disappointed that they did not win the game, but they did get a crucial away goal. Memphis Depay picked up the man of the match for his goal and good attacking options.

Memphis Depay x2, Ricardo Rodriguez, Alexandre Lacazette
A massive battle between 3rd and 4th. Where Wolfsburg should be favourites because of their recent form. The league positions will not move however whatever the result. It looked like the first half would end with the score being 0-0, but right on the break, some great movement off of a corner from Wolfsburg allowed Memphis Depay to put another goal away(1-0). Almost immediately after the kick-off from the goal, Schalke turned the ball over and yet again, Memphis Depay found himself in the right place at the right time, to put away Wolfsburg's 5th consecutive goal(2-0). In the 57th minute, Ricardo Rodriguez lined up a free-kick from outside the box and split the wall to stop Depay's run of goals(3-0). Late in the game, Robin Knoche gave away a penalty, that was put away by Huntelaar(3-1). To put the nail in the coffin, a poor clearance from Schalke, fell down to Lacazette, who put it away with ease(4-1). Man of the match of course went to Memphis Depay, who continued his great run of form with two more goals.

Kevin De Bruyne, Ivica Olic
The second leg in the First Knockout Stage of the EUROPA league. Wolfsburg will be slightly ahead with the fact that they scored an away goal, but at home they should win fairly comfortably. The game started superbly for Wolfsburg, who after 7 minutes took the lead thanks to a terrific long shot from Kevin De Bruyne(1-0). On the stroke of half-time, Erarslan, received his second yellow card for diving, and the striker would miss the rest of the game. Midway through the second-half, a mistake from the Turkish side allowed Ivica Olic to split the defence and probably put the game away for Wolfsburg(2-0). On 80 minutes Olic thought he had a second, but he was called offside. Immediately after that call, the opposition got to the other end of the field and scored to scare the Wolfsburg fans(2-1). But Wolfsburg would hold onto win the game and the draw (3-2) on aggregate. The man of the match was Kevin De Bruyne who scored a quality goal and had some terrific passes.
