Hopefully you can land some of those big players! :)

END OF YEAR REVIEW - VFL WOLFSBURG

Current Bundesliga Position - 1st, 44 points.

Best Player to this Point - Memphis Depay - 23 Appearances, 15 Goals, 9 Assists, 7.32 AR

Memphis has shown this season how much of a threat he is, his goal scoring has been incredible, he is one of the best passers in the team, and it will not be much longer until he is one of the best in the team. At only 20, he has a lot longer to go.

Biggest Surprise - Timo Horn - 26 Appearances, 21 Conceded, 11 Clean Sheets, 6.92 AR

The young German GK has been given the go-ahead in front of Benaglio this season, and he has shown that he deserves to have that job, he particularly showed his strength in the win over Bayern

Best Signing of the Year - Miranda - Free Transfer

A very good signing from Dunlop has added even more depth and leadership to the back. The Brazillian has banged home three goals and has been working with Naldo as they develop to be the best backline in the league.

Best Result - 3-3 Penalty win Against Bayern Munich

Worst Result - 0-1 Loss against Hannover

Dunlop Says Goodbye

Wolfsburg manager Alexander Dunlop has today announced to the press that he is resigning from the Wolfsburg role, and retiring from all forms of football.

"It is with great sadness, that I today announce my resignation from the role of manager at Wolfsburg, and my retirement from Football. I am sure many of you are wonderinghow I came to this conclusion. Recently, I fell ill, and I have been missing trainings and games, which I never do. Today I found out that I am not getting any better. I have decided that it is best for the club if they have a manager who can be actively involved. I have said my goodbyes to all the players and staff and have thanked them for everything they have ever done for me and the club Wolfsburg. I will also be announcing my replacement, this man is new to the club ,and despite already saying he has retired, I have convinced him wisely to come out and continue this force that is Wolfsburg. This man is Jose Mourinho. I will be going on holiday for the rest of the season, but I will return to see everyone and catch up with how we went over the rest of the sessaon. "

Since arriving at Wolfsburg last season, Dunlop has won the EUROPA league, the EUFA Super Cup and his side is currently top of the Bundesliga. He will leave Wolfsburg as one of their club legends and loved by everyone.

Note from Me

Just because I have stopped playing this, I will holiday through season by season and tell you how we are going and what we have done.

Thank you all for the support you have given me, I wish I could keep going as this save has had some of the most enjoyable moments in my FM career, but I just can not. This will not be the last you see of me however, and I will be back stronger then ever in FM 15.
It was a great story, sad to see it go :(
Didn't comment much but it was still a great story xander, you kept it going for a good while, too. Look forward to seeing an FM15 story from you.
NOOOOOOOO

Just to Clarify

Guys, this story is not stopping as such. Just no more first person managing. I will still finish the seasons and update on how we go.

Dunlop Returns to Check Up on Wolfsburg After Not Knowing Rest of Season Results

Wolfsburg favourite Alexander Dunlop has today returned to the club after being away for the last 6 months. He has not known any results or how they have gone, and this article will be to inform him on how his club has gone since he left and handed the rein to Mourinho.

The Bundesliga

For the second year in the row, Wolfsburg finished in the top 3, but before we tell you the final positions, I am going to give you the scenario that Wolfsburg were in heading into the last week of games. Bayern Munich were playing 4 hours before Wolfsburg, Bayern were 2 points ahead of Wolfsburg.

Bayern were shocked in a 1-1 draw at home against already Relegated Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg would just have to beat Hannover 96 to win the league.

But unfortunately they could not score any goals and Bayern Munich would celebrate another victory.

The results after Dunlop left

But despite this narrow loss, Wolfsburg would still win many awards in the Bundesliga. Despite leaving the club at the end of February, due to all his hard work, Dunlop still won the Manager of the Year for the second year in a row. The Goalkeeper of the year was Wolfsburg's 22 Year Old German, Timo Horn, who beat Neuer and Trapp. Kevin De Bruyne was runner up in German footballer of the year. Ricardo Rodriguez was awarded the player's player of the year. These awards resulted in De Bruyne, Horn and Rodriguez all being in the team of the year.

German Cup

When Dunlop left the club, he left them shortly before their teams German Cup Quarter Final game against Augsburg, which they won 1-0. They would then go on to qualify for the final by beating Borussia Dortmund, in a great 1-0 win.

This set them up for a grand final game against Werder Bremen, and their tendency to fall short at the final hurdle came back to haunt them, as they could not score in the 120 minutes and then lost on penalties, despite Horn saving four of them.

Champions League

Wolfsburg were also about to play PSG in the Champions league prior to Dunlop's departure, but I do not think that much would stop PSG from beating Wolfsburg 4-0 on aggregate.

Juventus would go onto win the trophy.

The Next Update Will Feature The Transfers and Pre-season to See what Mourinho can add to the club
