Season 2027/2028: Entire Season
Transfers
Some big names left Whitehawk in the summer in the form of vice-captain Aaron Lewis (DL) and American international Agostinho Ribeiro (MC), both in search of more game time. Of the six players signed that summer, only one was above the age of 18 and that was Maximiliano Oviedo (DL). The Argentine full-back came in to play back-up to Dino Slavica, who had made the left full-back position his own after some very impressive seasons. Riccardo Blini (AMR) and Stephen Murray (AML) were stars for the future, at 16 and 15 years old respectively, with the latter commanding a whopping £15M transfer fee. While some scrutinized this transfer, he had the potential to become a player worth easily triple that price. Harry Robinson (DR) was a youngster brought in at a bargain price and would be loaned out for first-team experience, while Claudio Elorieta (GK) came in looking to break past Jack Butland and Oscar Payton for a starting spot. The big signing of the summer for Whitehawk was that of 18 year old German Dennis Seifert (DC), who would replace Jamaal Lascelles who left the club that summer. Big money was spent but I was confident that this player could go on to be a leading player in his position.
The January transfer window so big money spent and big money earned. Right wingers Fran Ortiz and Ruud Doorn were both sold for a collective sum in excess of £50M to Monaco and Benfica respectively, while attacking midfielder Matt Ursell joined for a club record £39.5M from league rivals Manchester United. Having failed to cement a regular starting spot, Ursell came to Whitehawk to learn how to play as a right winger and hopefully cement his spot there.
FA Community Shield
The game was a lot more thrilling that the scoreline suggested with both sides struggling to beat two keepers on top form. After a goalless ninety minutes, a penalty shoot-out would decide the contest. Unfortunately for us we conceded defeat and missed out on a valuable early season trophy.
Barclays Premier League
The squad was growing in ability and experience with every passing season and we did go unbeaten all the way up until Boxing Day, when it took no less than four goals from Chelsea to break us. Our goalscoring record was exemplary and we blew teams away at times. Memorable wins over Manchester City and Chelsea crowned another impressive league season, but was it enough to secure our first Premier League title?
League Table
It was more than enough, as it turned out. We claimed the title with eight points to spare as Manchester City and Manchester United were left in our wake. Our excellent season showed as I was awarded with Manager Of The Year, and Miodrag Kostic and Natanael claimed Player Of The Year and Young Player Of The Year respectively.
UEFA Champions League
Once again, we steamrolled our way through the group stages, powering past Bayern Munich, Sevilla and Olympiakos on our way. This set up a Last 16 tie against Brendan Rodgers' Barcelona side, which we were only ever going to lose. Defeat in Spain meant that we had to perform to the best of our abilities at home, and we did to our credit. An early Albert Wetzel free-kick set up a nervy tie before Miodrag Kostic fired home a volley from all of 35 yards to put us on the path for qualification to the next round. However, Barcelona had the last laugh as they scored in the 88th minute, shattering our Champions League dream.
FA Cup
We were gifted with far lesser opponents in the early rounds as we demolished Barnsley, Tottenham and then Fleetwood. This set us up with Manchester City in the quarter-finals, and we ran away with a sneaky 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium, much to the dismay of the Citizens. Crystal Palace would be our semi-final opponents, although they proved to be unworthy as we defeated them to the sound of 8-0. Hull City would be our final opponents and we continued our rich vein of form to hammer them 5-0 to claim the FA Cup once more.

Whitehawk News
Following the departures of Jamaal Lascelles and Aaron Lewis, 23 year old Dutch star Albert Wetzel was handed the captaincy, while Argentine defender Juan Caballero would be his deputy. Otherwise, all we did was upgrade training facilities.
World Football
France defeated Turkey to claim the 2028 European Championship title. The final was exciting in an otherwise uneventful competition. Rik Van Loon reclaimed the FIFA Ballon d'Or award, while there were placed for Albert Wetzel and Juan Caballero in the FIFA World Dream Team. In other news, SC Braga won the UEFA Europa League, dispatching Sevilla in the final.
