InfraRed, yeah the players grouped together and regained their focus after what truly was a shaky group stage! At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how you win a competition as long as you win it.

TayBAFC, yeah it's been a long journey so far and there is plenty more to come! ;) Thank you, it's the first time I've ever won an international competition on any FM :O

Walter, yeah that Spain squad was unbelievably strong in attack with the likes of Munir, Pedro Belsué, Ezequiel Ponce and Santiago Hernández, who didn't even play once for me in the World Cup! There were so many world class midfielders in the squad that attacking seemed like our best bet. Unfortunately, the squad lacked true quality in the full-back areas, with Dani Carvajal our only "top" right-back, and he was 34 years old! At left-back we had better fortune but not much better. If it wasn't for the brilliant David De Gea and our attack line, it could have been a far worse campaign.
I'm calling it, Kostic and Natanael will be amazing.

Well done Steve, a World Cup to add to Prince William's trophy hall deep inside the depths of Buckingham Palace. On a side note, is he king yet?

AaronHJFT96, well they were wonderkids ;)

Tallery, I'm afraid his father is still in power.
Well done on the World Cup win!

Jer, thank you!

Season 2026/2027: Entire Season

Transfers

This was a season of big departures for Whitehawk as many big names left the club. Star players Gabriel Barbosa and Raif Husic left the club for PSG and Lyon respectively in search of better wages than what I was offering. Daniel Traoré and Abdou Diallo also left for big fees in the summer, the former was a key player for us but the latter was a fringe player in our squad. Marcos Lanzini left for £35M in January, while Nattestad followed him.

In terms of new signings, we made nine of them. Emmanuel Acuna was a promising Argentine central defender who would fit in as back-up. Adauto came in to replace Daniel Traoré at defensive midfield. Thomas Granvang (MC), Oscar Payton (GK) & Jonjoe Kenny (DR/DM) all came in looking to challenge for starting spots, and all were top notch players. We spent a large £25M on 16 year old wonderkid striker Hippolyte Chabbert, who bagged 11 goals in 8 appearances for Bordeaux last term. Carlos Serna (DM) was another youngster who joined the club, while Gomes (DR) and Emanuel Ortiz (DC/DM) joined the club in January to replace January outgoings.

All-in-all, we spent a lot of money while still making a profit and our squad was certainly strengthened. Many stars left but many future stars joined and the club looked the better for it.

Barclays Premier League

We picked up so many positive victories this campaign! Young star Albert Wetzel got the ball rolling by scoring four against Fulham on the opening day, and three wins from our opening three games set us on our way for a good campaign. A thrilling 3-4 defeat at home to United showed that we could score with the best of them, and we proved that with a 3-0 win over Chelsea and a 2-0 win over Man City, both before the turn of the year. We opened 2027 with an 8-0 thumping of Fulham and more good results followed, including a 6-0 battering of Charlton and a 4-0 humiliation of Chelsea at Terry Arena. This was definitely an exciting high-scoring league season for the Hawks!

League Table

An outstanding goalscoring season saw us finish in second place, just seven points behind Manchester United. Manchester City placed third, behind us on mere goal difference while Chelsea rounded up the top four. Our goalscoring record was second only to Manchester United while our defensive record was the best in the league, which was impressive considering how attacking we played. We were just one spot off winning the big league and this gave us confidence to push forward for the next season.

UEFA Champions League

We smashed our way through a group which contained Real Madrid, Lille and AIK before being pitted against AC Milan in the Last 16. A 0-0 draw at the San Siro in the first leg set up a tricky encounter at home, where Miodrag Kostic proved to be the star of the show, netting twice to seal passage to the next round for us. It was French giants PSG who stood in our path next, and we knew were up against it. After securing an impressive 1-1 draw in Paris, we were out-gunned at home and crashed out 2-4 on aggregate. Not an overly disappointing campaign, but we would have liked to have progressed further.

FA Cup

It was yet another FA Cup campaign to remember as we began with a 5-0 thumping of Newport County. Victories over Swansea, Norwich and Fulham booked us a date at Wembley where we faced Charlton in the semi-finals. We ran out eventual 5-1 winners in a game which attacker Ryan Gauld ran the show and that set up a tasty final against Liverpool. We dominated the game from start to finish, and the scoreline showed that as we were victorious by three goals to nil. Another season, another trophy!

Capital One Cup

Over the years I've come up with a theory, so here it goes:
Capital One Cup + Chelsea = Whitehawk Elimination

Whitehawk News

We expanded the stadium again. Not much else to see I'm afraid.

World Football

PSG's Spanish star Ezequiel Ponce claimed the FIFA Ballon d'Or award with fellow Spaniard Sergi Samper claiming runner-up, courtesy of the World Cup triumph in the summer. AS Monaco lifted the Europa League after dispatching Zenit in the final.

No shame in losing out to the CL Champs, and well done on the league.. Next season you should be able to win it!

Well done, great season and a trophy to go with it, shame it wasn't the Premier League title but hopefully you can get that next season.

Hippolyte. <3
That is all.

Jer, that's what we're hoping for!
TayBAFC, a trophy is a trophy, hoping for more!

Season 2027/2028: Entire Season

Transfers

Some big names left Whitehawk in the summer in the form of vice-captain Aaron Lewis (DL) and American international Agostinho Ribeiro (MC), both in search of more game time. Of the six players signed that summer, only one was above the age of 18 and that was Maximiliano Oviedo (DL). The Argentine full-back came in to play back-up to Dino Slavica, who had made the left full-back position his own after some very impressive seasons. Riccardo Blini (AMR) and Stephen Murray (AML) were stars for the future, at 16 and 15 years old respectively, with the latter commanding a whopping £15M transfer fee. While some scrutinized this transfer, he had the potential to become a player worth easily triple that price. Harry Robinson (DR) was a youngster brought in at a bargain price and would be loaned out for first-team experience, while Claudio Elorieta (GK) came in looking to break past Jack Butland and Oscar Payton for a starting spot. The big signing of the summer for Whitehawk was that of 18 year old German Dennis Seifert (DC), who would replace Jamaal Lascelles who left the club that summer. Big money was spent but I was confident that this player could go on to be a leading player in his position.

The January transfer window so big money spent and big money earned. Right wingers Fran Ortiz and Ruud Doorn were both sold for a collective sum in excess of £50M to Monaco and Benfica respectively, while attacking midfielder Matt Ursell joined for a club record £39.5M from league rivals Manchester United. Having failed to cement a regular starting spot, Ursell came to Whitehawk to learn how to play as a right winger and hopefully cement his spot there.

FA Community Shield

The game was a lot more thrilling that the scoreline suggested with both sides struggling to beat two keepers on top form. After a goalless ninety minutes, a penalty shoot-out would decide the contest. Unfortunately for us we conceded defeat and missed out on a valuable early season trophy.

Barclays Premier League

The squad was growing in ability and experience with every passing season and we did go unbeaten all the way up until Boxing Day, when it took no less than four goals from Chelsea to break us. Our goalscoring record was exemplary and we blew teams away at times. Memorable wins over Manchester City and Chelsea crowned another impressive league season, but was it enough to secure our first Premier League title?

League Table

It was more than enough, as it turned out. We claimed the title with eight points to spare as Manchester City and Manchester United were left in our wake. Our excellent season showed as I was awarded with Manager Of The Year, and Miodrag Kostic and Natanael claimed Player Of The Year and Young Player Of The Year respectively.

UEFA Champions League

Once again, we steamrolled our way through the group stages, powering past Bayern Munich, Sevilla and Olympiakos on our way. This set up a Last 16 tie against Brendan Rodgers' Barcelona side, which we were only ever going to lose. Defeat in Spain meant that we had to perform to the best of our abilities at home, and we did to our credit. An early Albert Wetzel free-kick set up a nervy tie before Miodrag Kostic fired home a volley from all of 35 yards to put us on the path for qualification to the next round. However, Barcelona had the last laugh as they scored in the 88th minute, shattering our Champions League dream.

FA Cup

We were gifted with far lesser opponents in the early rounds as we demolished Barnsley, Tottenham and then Fleetwood. This set us up with Manchester City in the quarter-finals, and we ran away with a sneaky 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium, much to the dismay of the Citizens. Crystal Palace would be our semi-final opponents, although they proved to be unworthy as we defeated them to the sound of 8-0. Hull City would be our final opponents and we continued our rich vein of form to hammer them 5-0 to claim the FA Cup once more.

Capital One Cup

Whitehawk News

Following the departures of Jamaal Lascelles and Aaron Lewis, 23 year old Dutch star Albert Wetzel was handed the captaincy, while Argentine defender Juan Caballero would be his deputy. Otherwise, all we did was upgrade training facilities.

World Football

France defeated Turkey to claim the 2028 European Championship title. The final was exciting in an otherwise uneventful competition. Rik Van Loon reclaimed the FIFA Ballon d'Or award, while there were placed for Albert Wetzel and Juan Caballero in the FIFA World Dream Team. In other news, SC Braga won the UEFA Europa League, dispatching Sevilla in the final.

Your team really has gone from strength to strength

Ta31_a, yeah, hopefully another good season is to follow! ;)

Season 2028/2029: Entire Season

Transfers

There was a massive overhaul of players in the club this summer, and started with the departures of two ageing players; Jonjoe Kenny (DR) and Ryan Gauld (MC/AMC/AML). Considering Gauld was 32 at the time of selling him, £8.25M was a very good fee to receive. PSG came in with big cash to sign three of my defenders in Juan Caballero (DC), Gomes (DR) and Emanuel Ortiz (DC/DM). We received over £70M for the three defenders, a considerable fee for anybody! Jack Butland completed the summer outgoings, not content competing for a spot with Oscar Payton and Claudio Elorrieta. At Arsenal, he would start every game when available.

Malte Kohn (DL/DR) became our second most expensive ever signing at the time when he joined from Borussia Dortmund. The young German wing-back was suited with explosive pace and great ability on the ball, in many ways becoming our Leighton Baines or Dani Alves. With the ability to play on either flank, he would become invaluable to the team. Killian Moreau (DC) and Fernando Riquelme (DC) would come in to play back-up to Dennis Seifert and Emmanuel Acuna, our current starting central defenders. Vicente Acosta (DR) came in to provide competition to Kohn for a starting spot in the right full-back position.

Then, we signed a super star. Dutch striker Christiaan Pattinama joined us from Sevilla for a club record £40M. The attacker had gained plaudits for his form over previous seasons and having originally had a £93M price tag (to match his release clause), we bargained and we hassled until this deal went through. What a signing he would prove to be! January saw us break the bank to bring in two more mega stars in Bismark Nyarko (DM/MC) and Pinga (DR/DL). Both players cost us over £60M each and while they were on big wages, they were the best in the business at what they did and would give us superiority across the pitch. Maximiliano Oviedo (DL) and Natanael (AML/ST) both departed the club for P. Ferreira in search of first-team football.

In total, we spent £224M that season, bringing in £136M from sales.

FA Community Shield

We were pitted against league runners-up Manchester City in the Community Shield and Dutch duo Albert Wetzel and Christiaan Pattinama put them to the sword in a 2-0 victory for The Hawks.

Barclays Premier League

35-3-0 was our record over the course of the league season and I was as shocked as you guys are now! What a season! The transfer business done in the summer and in January paid off as our squad became juggernauts; invincibles. We scored many and conceded few; smashing teams to the ground and beating them like there was no tomorrow. No team could withstand us as we crushed everybody in our path. What.A.Season.

League Table

We cruised to a 34 point margin between us and runners-up Manchester City. Not really much more to say here... yay?

UEFA Champions League

After a nervy start to the group stages, we cruised through once more to find us up against Bayern Leverkusen in the Last 16. We cruised through courtesy of a second leg victory, before then defeating Juventus in the Quarter-Finals. This set us up against Rodgers' Barcelona in the Semi-Finals. We ran out 6-0 winners at home, and claimed a 2-2 draw away to secure a place in the final, where we would play Manchester United. A tough game some might say? Well, no. We hammered them. We played them off the park and proved ourselves to be the best in Europe, with a 3-0 victory. Now THAT is how you win the European Cup!

FA Cup

Easy run up until the final, then we kind of demolished Manchester City.... Oops?

Capital One Cup

Well this was a kick in the teeth.

Whitehawk News

We won a few trophies, completed some upgrades.... So yeah.

World Football

Germán Rossi won the FIFA Ballon d'Or, with Rik Van Loon placing second. Wetzel, Natanael and Payton of Whitehawk all made the FIFA World Dream Team, with Nathanael leaving the club less than a month later. Benfica beat Genoa in the final of the UEFA Europa League to set up a Super Cup clash against ourselves.
