Beckham Denies Managerial Rumours
David Beckham Rebuffed Rumours Linking Him To Managerial Positions In England
Former England and Manchester United midfielder David Beckham was the subject of rumours linking him to interviews with several English clubs, such as Cambridge United, Chester, Stockport County and York City. However, the former England skipper dismissed all rumours linking him to any job in England in the near future. While David Beckham confirmed that he did indeed receive interview offers from several clubs, he turned them down to spend more time with his family.
David Beckham: "I've received offers from some chairmen inviting me to interviews over the past few weeks, but I've never even considered accepting them. After the controversy in the FA and the aftermath of what happened, I'm not mentally prepared to step back out in to the football world. The best thing for me to do right now is to get away from football for a few months and spend some time with my family. I've missed spending quality time with them.
I do appreciate the interest in my services and I am very grateful to the chairmen who offered me the opportunities to begin my managerial career and had I received these offers a couple of months ago, I would have probably taken it. Unfortunately, my head isn't where it should be right now and I cannot accept these generous offers. I do wish the clubs who offered me interviews the best of luck in finding the right men to lead them and I hope they perform well during the upcoming season.
I'm looking forward to the upcoming season, as a supporter. I'll be gunning for my former teams to perform well in their leagues. AC Milan will find it tough this year with the numerous changes in the squad but with the arrival of Fernando Torres on loan, I think they have found a man who has an abundance of ability in his locker, he just needs to find the key. Real Madrid have moved from strength-to-strength. Dí Maria has left for Manchester United but they brought in two top talents in Toni Kroos and James Rodríguez to replace him. I fully expect them to win the league this season. As for Dí Maria's new team, Manchester United, an interesting season awaits them. Van Gaal is a top, top manager who I have a lot of respect for and I hope that he can lead the team back in to the Champions League."

I have travelled the world and been lost in it's wonders. I have discovered secrets buried in the sands of time and witnessed miracles beneath my fingertips. Foreign melodies and rich exotic banquets had become the norm for me as I crossed one border after another; a passenger to the world. I found lands where civilisation had not been born, where money had no value, where law had no bearing. I have seen everything, but felt nothing. The meaning of life remained an enigma to me.
The pursuit of happiness is one which which everybody pursues at one point or another. Some are gifted with happiness, some people are handed a quest by the man above to earn their happiness. Unfortunately for me, I fell in to that category. I have experienced great wealth, I was wed to one of the most beautiful women in the world and I've travelled the world, experiencing the fruits of nature. You could call me daft for not being satisfied with what I had, but I wanted more. I wanted to win trophies as a football manager.
My love for football was ingrained in to my heart from the day I was born. It was all I talked, thought and dreamed about. My mother disapproved, although she was too occupied with her job to banish football from my heart. Unfortunately for me, I was not in a position where I could become a player but to become a manager was always a dream for me. Every young kid dreamt of holding silverware aloft and celebrate title success and I was no different. I craved success and ambition surged through my veins.
For me, it all came true. I was a special one. The trophies, the success, the fame, and the infamy too, I had it all. I rose to the top of the football world, fell down and came back up again. My journey was an incredible one; one which was written in folklore. I had become a legend, a hero, a saviour, a king. My journey to the top was unprecedented and unforgettable. It all came from humble beginnings, as I packed my bag and departed for my first interview at a football club. I was breaking free from my world. The journey had begun, The Royal Redemption had begun.
