Shame that your ground is going through so many changes but it'll all be worth it in the end! Another fantastic update man!

Bradford Park Avenue's New Main Kit Sponsors

Dr John Dean has today released a club statement regarding the new kit sponsors of the club.

Yorkshire Building Society have today officially linked up with the new League One club as Bradford Park Avenue look to extend their methods of income as the clubs costs continue to rise.

The sponsorship deal will mean that the Yorkshire Building Society brand will be plastered across the clubs' new kits for the next two years.

The deal will bring in £105,000 per annum for two years in a deal that club chairman Dr John Dean declares 'a very lucrative sponsorship deal'.

This development is a huge improvement on the club's previous kit sponsorship contract with 'Bakes & Lord Printers' - a commercial printer company from Bradford. Bradford Park Avenue were earning £25,000 per annum from that deal, but are now set for bigger things from their new deal with Yorkshire Building Society.

YBS posted an article on its website this morning confirming the reports, claiming that the financial constitution will work closely with the football club throughout the period of sponsorship and beyond.

Although it may seem like a name on the front of the shirt for the football fans, this deal is a massive step forward in the progression of their football team, along with the other developments surrounding the club at the moment.
In regards to your stadium developments, what are your average crowd figures?

It varied quite a bit last season, but our average was around 2,500 last season which was filling 90% of our capacity each game!
Love that update about the sponsors mate! Makes the story feel even better and incredible detail once again man!
Great job getting promotion and really good review update. Nice to see Oxford going up, are you or anyone else interested in O'Dowda as it seems he's had a good season.

'Our Avenue, Your Avenue.'

Bradford Park Avenue chiefs have begun the annual push for season ticket sales by announcing ten new signings for their 2018/19 'Our Avenue, Your Avenue' campaign.

Over the course of May and June, the club offered contracts to many UK-based players who were out of contract in July. The response from the players was quite overwhelming.

Despite not being part of the ten players announced by the club, Arsenal youngster Paul Turney joined the club back in June following his release from The Emirates Stadium. Turney will play in the development team this season according to Under-21 boss Alan Dunne.

As seen as first in the club graphic of the new signings, Ben Foster was the first first-team signing to be made this summer by the Horsfall Stadium club. Fans are said to be delighted with the 35-year-old joining their club, with plenty of experience in the England national team and the Premier League under Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United and West Brom.

Adam Chabukiani declared that he was able to get away with such a young goalkeeper in Myles Wright in League Two, but stated that an old head was needed in the ranks to stabilise the defence.

At the other end of the age spectrum, Jordi Osei-Tutu has joined the club. The right-back made his way up Arsenal's youth system, but gained his first professional appearances at Millwall in the Championship last season as he went on loan to The Lions. The 19-year-old full-back was named in last seasons 'Millwall Best XI'.

In the centre of defence, Bradford Park Avenue have snapped up both Crystal Palace's Adrian Mariappa and Newcastle United's Curtis Good. Mariappa has spent recent seasons on loan to Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship, meanwhile Good played two seasons on loan at Oldham Athletic's Boundary Park. The duo are said to be the strongest defensive pair that Avenue have ever had in their history.

After 92 league appearances over three years at Rotherham, Aidan White has continued to make his way through Yorkshire's football teams, having graduated at Leeds United, a loan spell at Sheffield United and three years at Rotherham United. Despite a long drawn out struggle with injuries over the years, White hopes his time at Horsfall Stadium will be his best spell yet.

Graduating at Manchester United's academy, Matty James is the only central midfielder to link up with the West Yorkshire side. James spent six years playing lots of first team football in the Premier League and Championship with Leicester City. This spell included a one-month loan period over at Preston North End in 2017.

Jordan Graham has struggled to find his feet in any team he has been at in his career apart from a Shrewsbury loan spell last season that bagged him 31 appearances. But now the right-winger looks to have his big break over in Bradford with his new manager deeming him a 'key player' for the upcoming League One season.

Another player from the Premier League has also joined in Tottenham Hotspur's Kenneth McEvoy, who spent a short while on loan to Bradford Park Avenue's fierce rivals Bradford City who they leave behind in League Two this season. The winger, who is Bradford Park Avenue's first ever player to be valued at £1,000,000 shows great talent and prowess according to his new manager Adam Chabukiani.

Declared one of England's upcoming stars a few years ago, injuries have caused a sharp downturn in ability for Mason Bennett in recent seasons. After four loan spells at Chesterfield, Bradford City, Luton Town and Gillingham, only one of them (Luton) has been remotely successful for the striker. But it may be too early to be doubting the 21-year-old's potential ability just now, as Adam Chabukiani is a manager well-known for his reviving of players careers - Matthew Fletcher and Samir Nabi just to name two.

Finally, it's another striker whose career has fallen over recent years as Fraizer Campbell joins the newly promoted League One outfit. The striker joined Brentford as they were promoted to the Premier League in 2016, but was almost immediately loaned out to MK Dons that season after realising he wasn't up to standard. Last season, Campbell went through three loan moves in League One, with Campbell playing a combined 14 appearances for Birmingham, Gillingham and Barnsley.

In terms of first-team departures, Mikael Forssell, Stephen Ward, Carlton Cole and Ross Turnbull's contracts have all expired with the club. The four players all joined in the winter of 2017/18 as Chabukiani attempted and succeeded in pushing for an automatic promotion spot.

Development team departures consist of Rory Eagers, Maurice McGuinness, John Clay, Jeremy Barnard and Max Bradshaw.
mgriffin2012: Thanks mate! Always love the inside part of the game however boring it can be so it comes out sometimes on this story :P

LFC: Thanks :) And I don't think I will just on the basis that Oxford will be valuing him very high after some of his performances last season

England Win FIFA World Cup 2018

England fans will be astounded tonight and finding any pub they can find to party as Ronald Koeman helps the nation lift the World Cup for the first time since 1966.

Two stars will now appear above the England crest as 2018 will be forever in the memories and the annals of the country. The best bit? It was against the bloody Argies.

Ripe with hatred for one another from warfare, land and David Beckham's red card, it went down to penalties - usually England's worst enemy in international tournaments - as Wayne Rooney picked up the prestigious trophy.

It is the pinnacle of any players career to win the World Cup, but more so when you are part of the mother nation of football, and even more so when it's against Argentina.

It was down to Nicolás Gaitán to put in the first goal of the game as Argentina went 1-0 up on the fifteen minute mark from a Gonzalo Higuaín cross.

The rest of the first half went by without much other significance apart from a booking for England's Dele Alli.

It wasn't until ten minutes from full-time until England took back the lead with Wayne Rooney getting the goal. Leighton Baines swung in a cross from the halfway line to Raheem Sterling who was tackled by Mateo Musacchio before the ball fell to Rooney who passed the equaliser into the empty net.

In the penalty shootout, Gaitán scored the first Argentinian penalty as he powered a shot into the top-right corner. Leighton Baines' shot was saved by Geronimo Rulli.

Angel Di María slammed his shot right down the center of the goal as England centre-back John Stones slotted home to make it 2-1.

It was down to the best player in the world Lionel Messi to reduce Argentina's chances, though, as the striker put his penalty shockingly wide. Wayne Rooney, presented with the opportunity to equal the scores for England also drastically missed as he hit the bar.

The Argentina midfielder Lucas Biglia then missed his shot, much to the delight of English fans. New £36m Arsenal man Ross Barkley then took his opportunity excellently as he levelled the scores with a beautiful top corner finish.

Pablo Zabaleta put the third Argentinian penalty past Joe Hart before Tottenham wonderkid Dele Alli put a boomer past Rulli.

Arguably one of the best players on the pitch, Gonzalo Higuaín put his penalty beyond Joe Hart's reach. England substitute Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain equalised again for England to make it 4-4.

Ezequiel Garay, in his club stadium owned by Zenit St. Petersburg scored to make it 5-4. It was down to Theo Walcott, who was carrying a knock for a part of the game scored his penalty.

Marcelo Meli then got England fans off their feet as Joe Hart stopped his penalty. But Joe Hart then went from hero to zero as he stepped up for his penalty to have it saved by his opposite number Rulli!

Nicolas Otamendi then had his shot saved which once again, had England fans on their feet. And this time those England supporters were rewarded with a once in a lifetime scenario as Phil Jones won them the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
What....the....(insert expletive here)

PHIL JONES =))
mgriffin2012: I've just been in hospital being treated for a cardiac arrest after watching it :O

Justice: Imagine waiting 52 years for England to win a World Cup and the man who does it is Phil f*cking Jones. Scenes.

As ten players arrive at Horsfall Stadium, another eight have left the club for transfer fees.

Winter signings Mikael Forssell, Carlton Cole, Ross Turnbull and Stephen Ward all left the club on the 1st of July along with many former youth players, but Bradford Park Avenue have begun making profits on their departures now.

The approximate amount of money made through transfer fees this summer is said to meet the £3,100,000 mark, allowing club chairman Dr John Dean to look forward to a healthy club stature in terms of finances for the upcoming season.

Joel Lynch, who joined the club last season on a free transfer has left the club for Birmingham City in an initial £220,000 move to the Midlands - with the fee expected to rise with due clauses in place by the two parties. The Welsh international had a good season at the back for Bradford PA alongside Kasjusz Piwowarczyk, making 34 appearances for Avenue in the 2017/18 season.

Since joining Avenue from Brighouse in 2016, John Abubakar has gone from strength to strength with his ability as a right-winger. The wonderkid made 23 league appearances last season and had one of the highest assist tallies in League Two last season as he created 13 goals for Avenue last season. This incredible form shown at such a young age of 18 caught the eye of many, but it is Leeds United - renowned for its excellent upbringing of talented youngsters - who have bagged the winger for what is a bargain of £750,000.

After failing to properly settle in the United Kingdom, Julien Vercauteren has ended his very short spell at the club by joining Ligue 2 team Tours FC for a fee of £210,000. Julien made ten appearances for Avenue last season after joining in January, but the Belgian winger failed to make a real impact for the club.

It was an emotional goodbye for Nathaniel Oseni as the young Manchester City youth graduate is sold off to fellow League One team Leyton Orient for £150,000. Oseni joined the club at the beginning of Bradford Park Avenue's National League campaign in 2016/17. He was promoted with the club that season, making 41 league appearances. He became an icon last season with 26 appearances and helping the club push on for their third consecutive promotion into League One. Legendary striker Matthew Fletcher claims that the young defender 'will be missed at the club'.

It seems as though Adam Chabukiani is ridding himself of the eight players that joined the club in the winter as Vladimir Kovac joins German Second Division team Karlsruhe SC for a fee of £275,000. Despite his talent and experience in the higher tiers of football, Kovac failed to have much of an impact on the team last season, making only two appearances for Avenue.

With his four goals against Bolton Wanderers ripe in the memory of Bradford Park Avenue fans, Cedric Gondo has ended his spell at Horsfall Stadium with eight appearances and five goals to his name. After being released by ACF Fiorentina, Gondo was snapped up by Adam Chabukiani in January and the 6'2" giant certainly delivered when he was asked to.

Despite becoming a beloved part of the team after his arrival in January, fans are gutted as they see Godsway Donyoh leave the club so soon after such a good performance since joining. Donyoh was snapped up after he was released from a four-year spell at Manchester City and scored nine goals and created seven goals in just twenty appearances. He joins Eredivisie outfit Excelsior for a fee of £500,000.

And finally, the most recent departure, Oscar Gobern bagged the club their highest receiving fee of this transfer window as Charlton Athletic snapped up the box-to-box midfielder for a fee of £800,000. Gobern joined Avenue in January 2018 for free as Queens Park Rangers deemed him surplus to requirements, but evidently the player was way too good for League Two and League One and now finds himself in the Championship among other former Bradford PA players like Joel Lynch and John Abubakar.

Four youth team players have left on loan as well, those are: Lewis Jennings (Darlington), Shaun Barrow (Guiseley), Miles Mason (Hednesford Town) and John Payne (Oakham).

In the rumours department, many Championship clubs are snooping around Avenue's 16-year-old star Gage Tracey, currently valued at around £30,000 by most clubs, but all bids so far have been rejected. In regards to first-team rumours, though, Sheffield Wednesday, Bournemouth and QPR are all looking at Avenue's star midfielder Ben Blackmore. Charlton also look to take another Bradford PA player away in the form of Irish winger Jack Hallahan meanwhile Bournemouth seem to be looking at Avenue's other midfielder, Samir Nabi, who may not receive as much game time now with the arrival of Matty James and may look to find a way out of Horsfall Stadium.

But that may not be it for departures as local newspaper outlets have reported that Adam Chabukiani has accepted a bid for Polish centre-back Kasjusz Piwowarczyk from an unknown Polish top-flight team. That will be a big loss to Avenue's infrastructure, with the defender entering his fourth year under Chabukiani having recently made his 156th appearance for the club in all competitions. According to coaches, he has exceeded his potential by a country mile, originally being thought decent for a National League North team, but the Pole is now a League One player.

New Bradford Park Avenue Kits Unveiled

With the new 2018/19 campaign dawning upon Bradford Park Avenue, the club have finally released the kits for the new season.

Produced by Nike, Avenue have gone for a fairly simplistic approach towards this season's kits, which will be showcased first in their friendly match against Swansea City.

In the club's traditional home strip, the dominant colour is green, with a white strip coming off the shoulders on both sides. The fans are said to be delighted with the design of the new strip and looks set to be a big seller for the upcoming season.

The away strip however is those exact colours except that they are inverted. This means that the dominant colour is a plain white, with a green strip coming off both shoulders. With fans occupied mostly with the home kit, Bradford PA fans are said to be happy with the away strip as well.

But perhaps the most simplistic kit this season is the third kit. Fans hated the old alternative strip for the past few seasons - also produced by Nike - it was a dark blue faded into a purple colour at the bottom, a bit like the old Barcelona kits of many seasons ago.

But the new design looks fresh and has received a better response than the former, with the third strip being a simple all-black kit except the Nike logo is coloured white instead to make sure it contrasts with the dominant kit colour.

All of the new strips this season are all sponsored by the club's new main kit sponsor - Yorkshire Building Society - with the company's motto 'Built On Trust' also located in the area of the sponsor.

The fans seem to be content with this sponsor, with the company obviously a much more reputable sponsor than the old one of 'Bakes & Lord Printers' which were a small, local commercial printer agency in Bradford.

Bradford Park Avenue boss, Adam Chabukiani voiced his praise of the new set of kits in the unveiling press conference, where Chabukiani, Dr John Dean and Matthew Fletcher - who models the kits this season - all introduced the three new strips.

'I think they look brilliant. They look fresh, clean and ready for success. I think fans will be able to buy these kits and look back in nostalgia of this season.

'The addition of Nike producing all of our kits this season is a key factor in the set looking so good this year, they're a quality brand and I'm also glad to see Yorkshire Building Society on our strip as well, with the company helping a lot of our fans over the years as well as helping our club to grow with this new sponsorship deal with us.'

The kits will be available to purchase immediately online or in the club's store at Horsfall Stadium with prices ranging between £14 to £35.
Kits look really really slick and cool mate!

What do you use to design them, the shirt designer on this site or something else?
