After a long, long wait, Bradford Park Avenue manager Adam Chabukiani has today finalised a new deal at Horsfall Stadium, keeping him tied down for two years.
With his previous deal running out in July 2019 - the end of the current League One season, fans were panicking about whether their beloved commander-in-chief wanted to remain at the club beyond this season.
But it turned out to be a matter caused by the board, who held off offering their manager a new contract until now.
Chabukiani has spent three years at Horsfall Stadium since 2015. Throughout his stay in West Yorkshire the Georgian has led his teams to three consecutive promotions, reaching the Football League in 2017.
As Chabukiani joined the club initially as Youth Team Assistant Manager, he was promoted to First Team Assistant Manager under John Deacey in 2009. Chabukiani held down his role as Deacey's second hand man until his resignation in 2015. With Chabukiani the caretaker manager, Chairman John Dean saw the young manager as a strong candidate for permanent manager - and how right he was.
176 games later, the 31-year-old has attained a 54% win ratio as he closes in on his 100th win as Bradford Park Avenue.
Under Chabukiani's new contract with the club, he is set to stay until July 2020, earning £825 more per week than his old contract as he is now gaining £1,700 per week at Horsfall Stadium.
Clauses in his contract state that he will receive a 25% wage rise if he gets the club promoted, and a 35% wage decrease if the club is relegated. Chabukiani will also make £140,000 from the club's compensation fee if another club poaches the young manager.
Club Chairman John Dean is said to be delighted that Chabukiani has agreed a new deal with the club, commenting that fans can look forward to 'even better seasons' at the club.
