A late goal by Vlad Chiriches was enough to put Olympique de Marseille into the Semi Finals of the Coupe de la Ligue for the second successive season. L’OM took the lead after 24 minutes when Brice Dja Djedje contributed another assist to his tally for the season, as he found Lucas Ocampos at the back post and the Argentine winger was ready and waiting to slot the ball into the back of the net to give his side the lead. However Bordeaux found an equaliser 12 minutes from the end of the second half as Auzqui hit the post from distance and Brice Samba was unable to collect the ball and the deflection fell straight to Haddard who slotted home to pull Bordeaux back on level terms. However Marseille rallied and in the 86th minute they found the lead again as Michy Batshuayi floated a corner into the penalty area which was headed on by Lucas Ocampos and the Romanian Chiriches, signed from Napoli in the summer, was at the back post to head home his first goal for Marseille and send his club into the Semi Finals of the competition.
The draw for the Semi Finals has thrown up some fantastic games as Olympique de Marseille will visit the Parc des Princes to play PSG in the first Semi Final. The winner of that tie will meet the winner of the clash between Stade Rennais and Olympique Lyonnais at the Stade de France.

2016-04-25 07:35#230049 Jack : Tough test against PSG there, but a dream final isn't too far away
Yeah its another tie against them but we'll give it our best shot and aim for that cup final!
2016-04-25 20:06#230072 Justice : Beat PSG now, and the final would become a relatively easy game in comparison!
We're coming for you PSG! In comparison yeah but I always find it tough to get anything against Lyon at the minute and Stade Rennais are on the up!

Olympique de Marseille have today confirmed the capture of Swansea City’s French winger, Florian Thauvin. Despite only signing for the Swans during the summer of 2017, Thauvin only made only 8 appearances, with only 2 of the appearances being starts.
Thauvin has said he was delighted to be putting an end to his miserable spell in England, even if it is only temporarily, and he hoped he could make a big enough impression to make manager Christophe Galtier signing the winger on a permanent basis.
After confirming the addition of his new signing, Christophe Galtier added: ”Florian is a player that knows the club very well, and a player that the club knows very well. He has obvious quality but hasn’t been able to show it on a regular basis in England and hopefully he can have a big impact on our fortunes for the remainder of the season.”
