LEAGUE TABLE
PLAYER OF THE MONTH
ROMAIN ALESSANDRINI
With some glaring issues in our defence, going forward Romain Alessandrini has been the standout player, contributing with 3 goals. It was again between Lucas Ocampos and Alessandrini, and the Frenchmen’s performances have been marginally better therefore granting
MANAGER'S THOUGHTS

A much, much better month, that has seen us continue our stay at the top of the table, even if Monaco do have a couple of games in hand over us. The performances have been much more pleasing and we’re starting to look a little bit more solid in defence after the victory against Ajaccio which is definitely a positive. The result against Lyon was a freak result where they were buoyed on by the hysteria surrounding Casanova’s arrival as manager although that doesn’t take anything away from the fact we should have done much better. The performances against Saint-Etienne and Bordeaux though were a lot better even if our defence did slip a few times, but that is something we are working on! In the Champions League, to have secured a place in the knockout round is fantastic, especially after we’ve come through such a tough group, and we don’t need to go full throttle against Lazio next time out, which is pleasing as there is nothing riding on the result for us anyway. Hopefully next month we can continue to push on for the Ligue 1 title and really continue to improve our form. The Coupe de la Ligue starts next month, adding some extra fixtures to our calendar, but we are looking forward to the games and can’t wait to get started.
