SIMONE CORAZZA COMPLETES PARMA SWITCH
01 February 2016Simone Corazza celebrates scoring one of his twelve goals for Novara in the Lega Pro last season.

- Parma complete signing of frequent Lega Pro goalscorer
- Forward signs deal until June 2018
- Corazza hopes to help fire Parma into the third tier and beyond
Parma Calcio have today confirmed the signing of a new striker, with Simone Corazza joining the club from Serie B club Novara. Having helped to guide Novara into the second tier of Italian football, Corazza has now left the club he scored 12 goals for during their promotion campaign. Having now made the step down to the fourth tier of Italian football, Corazza is desperate to prove himself at Parma. He does however come with a very good track record in the lower leagues of Italian football, having scored 58 goals in 195 games in both the Lega Pro and in Serie D with Venezia.
As previously mentioned Corazza scored 12 goals for former side Novara as they achieved promotion from the Lega Pro into Serie B last season, and after his £200K switch from the second tier side, whom he played for once this year, the forward said he is raring to go at the Ennio Tardini. ”I don’t expect to come straight into the team but I am confident in my abilities to hit the ground running at this fantastic club. I love playing in these lower tiers, my record proves that so, hopefully I can score a lot of goals for this team and fire them towards the higher divisions once again.”
Typically manager Paolo Vanoli declared himself happy with his new signing, stating his belief that the forward could have a big role to play in Parma’s ascendancy through the ranks of Italian football. The manager was also asked about the finances of the deal, and whether or not Parma could afford to spend that much money on a player, when all their divisional rivals could not. ”Yes we can, the board have entrusted me with a budget to spend on players. By bringing in Simone, I have delved into that budget for the first real time as manager and hopefully we can bear the fruits of the deal for a long while to come.”

Fans Prediction: ”We’re in really good form at the minute but so are Ravenna so it’s going to be a really close game at the Ennio Tardini I think. They’re playing some really good football at the minute and they are on a late run to snatch the promotion spot but hopefully if we can claim a point against them, and stop them coming here and winning then we’ll be in very good shape.”

Fans Prediction: ”This is going to be a massive game and we’re all looking forward to it. Both teams are playing really well at the minute with only one defeat in their last five. Parma might just have the momentum because they’ve put together four successive wins but I am really confident that we can go there and upset them and close the gap on the top of the table.”
Clash of the Titans for sure.... Hopefully you can come out on top and secure your position on top of the table!
