League Table

Player of the Month

Francesco Corapi

Despite being moved over to the left flank to accommodate for Giammario Piscitella’s injury and Niccolo Belloni’s inclusion in the team, Francesco Corapi is once again the player of the month after another extremely impressive set of performances. His average ratings have been fantastic have accommodated for only one goal, but his three assists have seen him remain a massive part of the teams fortunes.

Parma will be confident of picking up at least six points from there three league games in December as the visit of Venezia on the 5th sees Parma come up against a team struggling at the bottom end of the table, much like in there fixture against Lumezzane who currently lie in 14th. Next up for Paolo Vanoli’s men is a fixture against Pavia in the 3rd Round of the Lega Pro Cup which, after demolishing Pro Patria in the 2nd Round, Paolo Vanoli’s men will be hopeful of winning. Finally to round of 2016, Parma face a difficult trip to play off chasing AS Citadella in a huge game.

Manager’s Thoughts

A fantastic month where we’ve really motored on towards the top spot in the league which would seal promotion to Serie B. However the main target for us at the minute has to be, to keep winning football games, and picking up the points. If we can do that as much as possible during December then we will see where we sit as we’ll be almost half way through the season and we can start making some serious predictions about where we’ll finish at the end of the season.

Looking good near the top of the table keep up the good form into next month
Wonderful month! Keep up the pressure and eventually the other title contenders will collapse!
Still tight at the top but you are looking strong!!

PARMA ANNOUNCE LINK WITH FIORENZUOLA

02 December 2016

________________________________________
- Nevio Scala announces affiliation with Serie D club Fiorenzuola
- Parma will be able to send players on loan to club at their own choosing
- Lega Pro club will pay Fiorenzuola £23.27K a year

Parma have today announced a deal with Fiorenzuola, of Serie D, that will see the two clubs start working together in partnership, as confirmed by Parma chairman Nevio Scala earlier on this morning. The terms of the deal mean that Lega Pro side Parma will be able to send players, youngsters or full fledged members of their squad to the Serie D side to aid in their development or to give the player first team action, at the disgression of the former Serie A side. Parma will also pay Fiorenzuola a small fee each year as part of the deal. Fiorenzuola who were founded in 1922 have been stuck in the amateur tiers of Italian football and their manager Ivan Vacondio has said he hopes that being able to use players sent to them by Parma can ”give the club a big boost and hopefully help us to end our wait to be back in the Lega Pro.”

Parma manager Nevio Scala took to the clubs facebook page to confirm the news of the deal, stating ”This is a fantastic day for this football club. We have established a deal with a very well run club that will provide our players with exceptional facilities to develop and aid their progress in their professional careers. We have a great relationship with the club which enabled us to broker this deal and we look forward to working with them moving forward.”

With Parma flying high in the Lega Pro Girone A going into December it seems unlikely that any of Parma’s first team players will leave the club, even those who lie on the fringes of the starting XI like Crocefisso Miglietta. However players like Giulo Mulas and Gabriele Silva, who last season were on the fringes of the first team squad, but haven’t been registered for the team’s Lega Pro side, could well be sent to Fiorenzuola in a bid to aid their development.

Thanks man :D
That's a big development there, the time when you start organising affiliate clubs is a sign of a club on the up! Top stuff
Keep going, all these little things add up in the long run in terms of re-building the club!
Great to see the club producing affiliations. It creates a wider network for the club to work with and certainly boosts the reputation of Parma. The future is bright!
Going well in the league bro a solid second place so far!! Also a very good affiliate link up there, can only be a long-term positive :)

Reputation is definitely on the rise and Fiorenzuola are a good club that should be able to develop some of our players! Bright future indeed! :D

OGC NICE HOLD TALKS WITH PAOLO VANOLI

11 December 2016

________________________________________
- Ligue 1 club hold talks with Lega Pro manager Paolo Vanoli
- Nice believed to be happy to appoint Vanoli as manager
- Vanoli, however, remains focused on task in hand at Parma

Ligue 1 club OGC Nice have today confirmed that they have held talks with at least three managers, including Parma manager Paolo Vanoli, after the sacking of Claude Puel, fifteen days ago. The Ligue 1 club currently find themselves down in 18th in the top tier of French football and believe that the appointment of the Italian Vanoli would help them avoid relegation to Ligue 2 for the first time since 2002.

Chairman of the Cote D’Azur club, Jean-Pierre Riviere, has today taken to the club’s official Facebook page, declaring how well the talks with Vanoli went. ”I can today confirm that talks with Parma manager Paolo Vanoli have gone well, and we are one step closer towards confirming the identity of our new manager. Until that point there can be no more information given other than what has been already stated, that talks with three managers including Paolo Vanoli, have gone well.”

However despite the confirmation from Riviere that talks between Nice and Vanoli have gone well, news emanating from Italy suggest that Vanoli has no intent on leaving his current club. Having guided Parma to the Serie D title and guiding them back into the third tier of Italian football, Vanoli is believed to be extremely happy with his current club, and more determined than ever to help guide the club he used to play for, back towards the top of the Italian game. There has been no official line from Parma as of yet, but after Vanoli signed a second contract extension until June 2019 back in May, it seems unlikely that the club are going to be willing to let their man go.
