We start the month with a very pleasing win over Sunderland at Hilton Park, with Zach Clough scoring both goals. A thoroughly professional performance.

All we wanted from this game was respectability. The lads worked their socks off and kept it to 2-0, which is a monumental achievement against such a quality side. I'm so proud of them.

This was 3rd vs 1st so a massive game for us at the top of the table. I'll admit, we rode our luck, but I'm delighted that we managed to pick up all three points.

Job done, an easy three points. However, the win came at a price as Robson Shipley was stretchered off near the end.

With ten minutes to go, I thought a rubbish result was going to ruin my birthday. Enter Zach Clough and Liam Shephard who turned the game on its head, secured us all three points and left me celebrating my birthday in style. Get in there!

Saturday 30th March

Once again our youth intake arrives with no standout candidates. We really need to upgrade our facilities.



A Zach Clough hat-trick sees us end the month with a superb 4-1 win at home against Bristol Rovers. That's six consecutive league wins now, just when we needed them the most.

A terrible performance away at Burton. They were clinical with their chances, we just....weren't. However, that result doesn't matter because results elsewhere mean we are PROMOTED TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP. An incredible achievement.

Zach Clough, you little beauty! His goals gave us a 2-0 win over Ipswich and with MK Dons beating Lincoln, that means the title is back in our hands. Avoid defeat against Lincoln on the last day and it's ours, lose and it's theirs. I don't think I've ever been this nervous.

GET IN THERE! CHAMPIONS OF SKYBET LEAGUE ONE. We went to Lincoln with the game plan of score and shut them out and that's exactly what we did. I couldn't be prouder of the players, they really deserve this.

So so proud of the lads. Winning League One is absolutely unbelievable. I'll once again be rebuilding the squad ahead of the challenge of a new league, I can't believe it. Without wanting to sound big-headed, the successive promotions show that I have a knack for building decent squads.

That's absolutely phenomenal. Congratulations! Despite a few losses - perhaps too much drinking after winning promotion? - you did enough to hold onto the crown and go up in fashion. You've worked miracles on no budget whatsoever, so while the budget given to you will be minuscule in comparison to other teams in the division, I'm intrigued to see how you spend it.

Yeah, I can't really figure out why we had such a dip in form. Atleast we managed to get the title sorted on the final day

Did I underestimate the strength of the squad? We start the season with a fine 1-1 draw with Watford and we could have won it if I'm being honest, we had enough chances.

Sunday 6th August

The club confirms that our final season ticket sales figure is 2,817, way up from last season's figure of 1,366.

Our first win in the Championship and what a win it was. To go to Nottingham Forest and win is a superb effort by the lads, especially in front of 29 thousand people!

We repeated our FA Cup exploits of last season by beating Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough, however, this time it was in the Carabao Cup. We put in a quality performance, winning 2-0 after having TWELVE clear cut chances. That was the only negative from the game, it could have been more!

Thursday 15th August

Warrington to travel to Huddersfield in the Carabao Cup 2nd round

We made the worse possible start against Derby, going behind within two minutes, but we fought back superbly to win by three goals to two.

This went more like how I thought our games in the Championship would go. A lot of hard work on our part before ultimately falling to defeat against a better quality side. Sure, I'm disappointed but what can you do when you only have a tenth of the budget of some of the other teams.

Heartbreaking. It was all going so well up until the point when Jesse McClurg got himself sent off for a second yellow. We tried our best to hold on nut the numbers game eventually caught up with us in added time.
