I decided to go back to 442 for this one. I feel like it's a better fit for the squad we have. Things looked bleak when Tyreke Wilson was sent off fora horrendous two-footed lunge but the lads dug in well to pick up all three points, with Cameron Archer scoring his first goal since the start of October.
Sunday 10th April
The win against Fylde sees us break the records for Most National League points in a season and Most National League wins in a season.

I thought this was going to be another one of those draws where we rue our missed chances but, thankfully, we were able to score two goals late on to pick up all three points.

I'll be honest, it was a little bit closer than I'd like but after the season we've had I'm not going to complain.
Sunday 24th April
The club have offered me a new two-year deal which I have decided to accept. The board wants us to avoid relegation next season.
We've also had some news on the stadium front. It'll be interesting to see what our attendance is like next season now we're in the football league.
I have also started working towards my Continental A License

Delighted to win the Manager of the Year award with 15 voting points. It's been a great season for us, the players have been excellent, especially when it comes to putting up with my perfectionist managerial style.

A fantastic first win in the football league! We dominated Solihull Moors, with Teddy Healey making up for complaining with two goals. For me, the main positive was the attendance, with 1,539 people attending the game. That'll certainly help the finances if that keeps up.

An absolutely quality result away from home. I feared that we would lose our lead when Smithy got sent off but the lads held on magnificently to pick up all three points.

I'm really proud of our performance against a very good Newcastle side. There was a point where it looked like we could cause an upset but we, unfortunately, ran out of steam towards the end.

Same old, same old. We had enough chances to win 5 games let alone 1. At least we actually managed to get the win rather than draw 0-0.

We were desperately unlucky here. I thought we deserved to win but it just wasn't our day, with us hitting the woodwork twice. Still, at least we are competitive so far in League Two.

A great result and one we fully deserved. The lads are really surprising me so far this season with how well they are playing. We just need to find a way to put our chances away.

I wanted us to take our chances more and that we did in our opening Checkatrade Trophy game, dominating to win by five goals to nil. That said, it was a much-changed Walsall side so I'm taking this result with a pinch of salt.

I thought we'd be fighting relegation so to be 4th is absolutely astonishing. Hopefully, we can keep our form up and stay at the right end of the table.
Next Month's Fixtures
Great start to the season, especially when you consider the huge turnover in the summer to ready yourselves for the new challenge the Football League presents you. The young talent are certainly impressing so far and progression is certainly being made in all areas, on and off the pitch. Congratulations on the record attendance! Luke Waterfall was the standout name for me. Not only is he contributing to the impressive defence, but he grabbed you all three points against Barnet. You can't complain at that! Captain material, indeed.
