Matches against Chelsea are always exiting. It’s difficult to say were they standing with the last season’s bad league finish and this season winning streak. The match itself was as they've been so far between us. Chelsea plays with a fast short-play-style trough the middle and in front of the box they try to find running trough gaps. Luckily Torres is injured which leave their attack a bit slower with an aging Drogba. I’m delighted with the Leiva position as a defending anchor man. I would have actually picked him as the player of the match. You don’t see him much but it notable in the stats and scoring. Chelsea had almost nothing forward

With a hectic schedule with Cups some changes was necessary, but with the Tioté red card and 20 minutes left we should have gotten the ball into the net. The problem is the centre play as we were too slow with the ball. Opportunities for scoring went to waste. Newcastle was worth the pointer

Still a good read. I find this thread real entertaining.
Looks like you will have a tough game away from home up next!

Good luck at finding a way to stop Higuain and Ronaldo. They can be real hard
to get a hold of. And to bad about the draw with Newcastle at Anfield!

We played a pretty decent game … NOT! What a pressure from Real Madrid, as our defenders had to pass back and forwards with the goalie during several occasions. We didn’t come anywhere forward. Garragher and Skrtel didn’t stand a chance for the quick counter attacks. Reina can hardly be blamed for the easy goals they made. 18-6 in shots says it all. Di María and Afellay had a bad day at the office. I honestly believed we would stand as winners after the game with Casillas injured and their bad streak in group stage, but guess if I was wrong

hehe yeah you were right on money there :)

Id like to post some pics. You know (or someone else) how I need to do, so the pictures dont come over the frame?

Ive seen reports with smaller pics you click on instead to make them bigger.
Unfortunately I have no idea atm. I registered on this site two days ago so havent tested it to much.
But it seems people use photobucket and just use the URL and http://, not sure on the rezising.

About the Real Madrid match, I was spot on cause Ive played against them so many times on my Barca save. The pace and pressure they have at home is insane, but with a good counter team they can be overtaken. But a Carragher and Skrtel as central defenders just get picked of by the pace, unless you have DM that can be a ballwinning player.

Good luck on the picture subject. You may try the chat and ask there. I see people from the other managerstories hang out there :) May get some tips.

And you will beat Real M at home. Im sure of it! The Kop will overpower them! :P

1-1 Dzeko [16]

Edin Dzeko

Firstly, the data picking Dzeko as man of the match leaves me bit disappointed actually. His goal was lucky one when the ball bounced on his feet from Skrtels back. If Id to pick a player from City it would be Hamsik as he lead the team forward with great dribbling and passing. Enough said. The match itself was very entertaining with 2-2 on post hits and great passing from both teams. I haven’t seen my team this fond of dribbling and trying to pass its way into the box. I’m not sure if I made a mistake with the Henderson – Adam sub. Perhaps I should have brought in Suárez instead to speed up the already fast attack. Johnson still leaves me in doubt as he becomes exhausted after 45 minutes. Gerrard have made some mediocre games recently. Some rest might do him some good. Downing and Spearing are back soon from couple weeks of injury

Peter Odemwingie

I’m satisfied with the reserves today though Flanagan and Caulker played unsure. Flanagan was behind both own goals. First he cleared the ball on Stegen and the other one from a corner volleyed on Dorrans and into the net. Kinda of a performance that yes! In the last minute I decided to let Sterling be part in the squad, with the advice from my scouts marz3y95 and Slogh. Also he played nervously, which of course is natural but had a good opportunity to score ones with a nice pass from Cavani. He will play the reserves to start with and let’s see from there. The match in hand was slow to begin with but speeded up in the second. Suso and Silva played good but gave the impression of being a bit slow on the tempo today. Excellent defending by Lucas helped winning. But I’m not sure if West Brom had a bad day or is the reserves that good

1-0 after 6 minutes and it was uphill from there. I failed in tactics as in selecting the right squad. Even though I had keyplayers such as Di María and Downing injured and the upcoming match against Real Madrid, I thought this would be an easy game as we won the two earlier games. Cole, Afellay and Aquilani failed to obtain the winning mentality today. I changed Suárez attacking position three times until I found the Complete Forward attribute to wake him up. I changed his position to the left winger position and threw Cavani as attacker. The score in the last seconds rounded the hunt for equalizer. Really bad coaching today and I guess there isn’t that much else to say

Hello Shameless,

First of all i am so happy seeing a Liverpool story since i'm a Liverpool supporter especially coming from a MCFC supporter !
Your transfers both in/out look perfect at the 1st season. About the 2nd season are looking ideal, Cavani is a goal machine and Di Maria is technical gifted winger as you have metioned !
Keep the good work up ! :D

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/96/gruppf.jpg/

Group F has become the group of death as three teams compete for the next phase. It would take a miracle for a AZ qualification. Winning the next game or at least a draw against Real Madrid gives me a good table position

Sorry you Liverpool fans, Everton hits pole position after 10 rounds of league matches

TACTICS

I made some tactical changes as I've played. The attacking position to Complete Forward and the wingers have been changed to Inside Forwards as Di María plays it very well. Suso’s abilities lay at the same level. Although Downing has been of couple of weeks due to injury, I hope he will adapt to his new position. The question mark is if he has the technical skills that require. Cole has not adapted well. Perhaps I will need to find a replacement in January. Adam Johnson is a personal favorite City player and to my good news unhappy for lacking play-time. I think it’s too early for Stearling. I haven’t unfortunately played Maxi as much as I would like to but a good candidate. The defending position has been changed from anchor man to a pure defensive position. The lost against Real gave me impression it’s a must

The match started as it did the last time with Real taking us to the playground. Coming much closer to our box than we managed to. Into the second half I decided to switch sides with Maxi and Afellay and places between Gerrard and Adam (Gerrard still the playmaker). From that moment the match was ours completely. The equalizing goal was a super shot from Gerrard and very delighted to see him finally score again. The pressure was outstanding on the Real goal. We missed the target though too often, as Adán not being as good as Casillas, we could have won the game. What made me a bit nervous but also delighted of the squad’s mental state towards winning. I told them after the game, it was a good result for us, but they all switched off. I should have yelled at them for not winning. Suárez will be sidelined couple of week due to injury but gives Carroll some minutes. Köln won their match and are leading the table with 1 point. We are taking on AZ next match and nothing mustn't go wrong

Apparently I played Kelly instead for Wilson on the central defender position. Didn't notice until match start. A great offense run-through today with heaps of chances to hit the net. With the injury of Maxi, Sterling got the chance from 20 minutes. He was behind two goals and he got a header but a poor one straight in the arms of Ruddy. A super display

Glad to se Sterling shine when he got his second chance. Seems you are abit injury prone, and looks like one player gets it each match! But nice to see the replacements step up and show theyre skills!

Good job, and make sure you wont end behind Everton. I hope you claim the top spot soon and stay there. Good luck vs Tottenham and AZ.
