The right side position must struck by bad karma. Di María, Maxi and now Cole have all been visited by the ghost of injury. Downing had a great comeback from his injury. Gerrad inst in his fullest fitness and probably need to rest him couple of days. The Spurs who was missing vad der Vaart due to injury had to watch a great offensive performance as we attacked from every position available. It got so offensive even the defenders wanted a piece of the action, as we let them in the game with their counter attacks. At the end of the match Totteham came back strong by Modric and Petric with beautiful attacking. They took the advange of my tired players

[I forgot to mention under transfers, that Tottenham had signed Oscar Cardozo for £9,5M]

Three substitutions equal three goals equal three points. What a weird but a great finish to the game. Aston Villa made it really difficult for our attack today. They defended with the whole team and looked like they hadn’t any plans for attacking at all. Suárez failed miserable today as I’ve been trying to evaluate his his Liverpool future recently. Once he shined with a great hat-trick but dead rest of the games. There is not no speed, no motivation. One more poor effort and Ill take my chances with criticising him privately. Let’s see from there what happens. With the subs we found ourselves running from the defence rather than on it. Wonderful goals! Adam, (as playmaker) Suso and Cavani really hit it of

Downing continues his good form and nice to see a defender score at last. This season corner-goals stats have been terrible. Overall nothing specific to say as we did what we were supposed to keeping CL dreams alive

Real Madrid – Köln 2-1

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/441/tablews.jpg/

I was hoping a Köln win for my own advancement into the next round. We have a difficult upcoming match as I need to have my players fit and well prepared to win. My assumption is that Real wins against AZ. This mean we must win the Köln match. Not even a tie will put us forward due to the rule of result between Real and us (3-0 & 1-1)

Well, you will go through with a Köln tie to. But you will be second place, and meet a better seeded opponent in the first round knockout. But heck, to win you gonna beat the best anyways so.

See you keep scoring goals, but also conceiving goals. Is Carragher the best choice as CD? In my Liverpool saves I feel he's to slow. But might just be me that feels that way. I always go with Skrtel/Agger for my saves since they complete eachothers. And Coates / Carragher in reserve.

Hey dude
I understand as the results between the teams are counted first.
With a tie, we and Real (if they win) will end up with the same points.

Or do I remember it wrong? :)

Oh the Carragher situation. Yeah I know ... I haven't still made my decision about him. He was slow last season but strangely worked up on the "trusted player" latter of mine. He is faster than last season. Although this will be the last season he plays. I've came with the suggestion in a private conversation with him, that he would become a good coach and he accepted and was ready immediately. I declined ... need to think about it

Well, you will still go through to the next round with a tie. That was my point. But yeah, for first place, you should beat Köln. But 1st or 2nd in group stages are fairly the same, you will meet better teams in latter stages. So it wont be that much worse if you end second. Just dont lose and get knocked out.

... HEY I CANT COUNT :P You were right Slogh. Had a dumb moment today. Sorry
Hehe, everybody makes mistakes, but just make sure you win and you will get place first for glory and fame! Good luck vs Everton. Please destroy them!

I’m sorry! We let the fans down. We stunk to be honest. I would believe a Merseyside derby would bring the best of my players but nothing. To be taken consideration only Gerrard and Robinson from start have Liverpool as origin. If it’s to any consolation Everton hade a terrible day as well. It was like looking at two turtles fighting over a piece of lettuce without even wanting it. The Everton goal was made after a corner by an unmarked Barkley. Except for the goal the match was played in the centre haft without any suggestions for attacking from either team

So thrilling with penalties! I will lift my hat for Craig Bellamy as he held up the Liverpool attacks with great runs and passes. The same cannot be said about Suárez. He did score on the penalties, so a good old fashion yell-out wasn’t on the table. The match in hand was a good one. We, a bit sharper in passes but either we or Villa have much luck in the finishing touches. Flanagan is still young and a bit nervy causing a lot of free-kicks. Villa with two hits on the post had to see themselves get beaten in the “lottery” penalty shoot-out. Enrique sidelined couple of weeks

A fine match by Liverpool played fast with determination of winning. Nothing taken away from Bolton as they too played for a win, whit fast counter attacks and quick passing. Coates, Wilson and Flanagan had their minds on the game and had an excellent performance. I was really impressed of Afellay today which I haven’t seen since last season. Hopefully he will keep it up. Leiva was great on the centre position. Two assists and good defensive play. Great game, Great atmosphere after

Europe League, next then. I don’t know what to say to be honest. We didn’t stand a chance. Köln were better than we in everything. Even their water bottles were more beautiful than ours. As they played straight trough our defence we just chased the ball the entire match. We had only one shot on target during the match. Nothing good can be said of anyone today. I moved up the entire team to my attacking tactic but the home team just counter attacked us and scored. I’m actually a bit depressed. Perhaps I’m not just the right man for Liverpool

I wouldn’t say the Red Devils deserved to win as it was about 50-50 in all area. A fluke .. or another bad moment of defending allowed Anderson to put the ball behind Stegen, without any marking at all on him. Too bad it was so late in the game. Flanagan who’s at the moment substitution for both Kelly and Johnson (with injuries) had a good game. Although his sliding tackle on Rooney in the penalty box (to corner) made my heart jump up my throat for a quick second. What
