RELISH THE RED

EUROPE LEAGUE 1st knockout round

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/811/eurocupmatcher.jpg/

Starting off against Young Boys should to be considered a round to win. I will take match by match thereafter. Difficult competition is ahead. I hope the God of draw gives me the Austria Wien/Stuttgart or the Copenhagen/Standard pull. To be honest its time to get a bit nervous after Köln demolished us. They lie second to last in Bundesliga but that wasn’t exactly notable

Injuries

In further notice we got Kelly and Johnson injured. Johnson was recently injured by Bellamy in training. Both to return in couple of weeks. Enrique as well. Henderson and Maxi are recovered from but not fully fit

Dumb Manager

To my surprise I realized under the United match, I had Lucas ticked in as playmaker. That should explain the recent contribution from Gerrard. I can’t help wonder what the outcome would have been from the Köln and Everton games. Let’s see if we can turn this to our advantage now!
This thread inspired me to start a new game with liverpool. I lost my previous save during a computer breakdown and have since that only played Barca.

To bad about the exit from Champions League, really thought you would crush Köln, should have a descent chance for Europa league instead.

About my Liverpool side, I have been seriously shocked. Topping the league, even with 3 losses, 4 ties, but the thing that have shot me there was Cavani. Never thought it possible to get him at first season till I saw the 48 month payment people on this site use. He's been gold. Got a good chance to win PL with my side now, since the other top teams loses points to eachother.

And keep up the good work. I find it real enjoyable to read. I even got mad cause your team played so bad the last games! Intense :P

haha I was pretty pissed too and thank you I'm glad I can be an inspiration.

Tell me, who are taking your free-kicks? I hate to admit it but we score like two the whole last season. This season Suso made 3 and Cavani hit the net ones. I had Adam and Downing on a training schedule but it didn't help me. Yeah Cavani is awsome. Thinking of sending him a real fan letter and thank him haha that would be something :P

SUMMARY

Turning back to the scoreboard. Flanagan receives his second yellow 90+3, just seconds before the whistle. I let him off with a warning but next time I’ll fine him. Robinson misses next match. Must find a way to solve this problem with bookings. I decided to bench Agger and Skrtel and would have done so with several players if Id had the depth. Modest performances lately and I have to show them, no one is safe from getting axed. The game in hand was good and I’m happy with the performance. Ticking back Gerrard to playmaker after my stupidly made mistake he had a pretty good match. Built up attacks and passed to players up front

A great start to the match but we slacked off after 20 minutes and let Stoke come back in the game with vengeance. They made us run after the ball until the 70th minute until Adam made the equaliser. Henderson failed to make a good effort. Due to Robinson one match ban I had to play Skrtel as left defender as he did good but failed with the supporting attack. We managed to save the pointer and another tie between us. I'm yet to beat them. The good news is Gerrard will be back in couple of days

SUMMARY

Some people collect stamps and then there are people like Flanagan who collect yellow cards. Another banned match is to follow. I cannot say where Angel stands in selection. I’ve got the feeling he does whatever he wants on the field and specially scores whenever he feels like it basically. If he doesn’t shine he doesn’t do anything. I’ve tried to motivate him and I’ve tried to be aggressive but there is no reaction. Then we have Joe Cole as a genuine team player. If he struggles on the field at least he tries. The game in hand was a great load-off to complete the first round when we go towards January. Cavani shined as he frequently does. Never cut your hair … it is what Liverpool needs

Really great fm manager story, really liking it... I'm planning on starting my own and I definitely using some ideas from you... good one!

Well I had Downing takin my freekicks. I think he hit 7 freekicks in with his left foot. Maybe its just luck cause I didnt do to much about his skills. But I lost the league to United with 1 point my first season. Had a bad run 4 games from the end. With a loss agains United and a damn shit loss against Wigan. But Ill do better next season.

Nice games now, execept your Stoke match *grins*
Hows the league table looking now btw?

Yeah United always ruin things for you :) 1 point that must stain a bit yes. How strange with the free-kicks as Downing hasn't scored on mine. How is Carroll playing for you? The table is coming up shortly (20 games). Then again after 25 games and depending the table position perhaps more often with the last games.
Shameless

I've been on the injury list a few days now due to fever and cold.

The pyhsio sent me home to recover, but the nice gents in the in The FA were kind enough to put the league on hold until matchfit.

Back in training and should be fit for match very soon :P
Carroll was kinda sidelined by the fact that i managed to get Cavani my first season. He did get 16 matches from start. But that was due to my right wings was injured and i use Suarez as RW and Cavani and Carroll on top. So Carroll was 16 (12) with 6 goals and 1 assist.

Compared to Cavani with a total of 42 (2) matches - 32 goals and 14 assists
Compared to Suarez with a total of 43 (3) matches - 24 goals and 12 assists

So there werent to much of a challenge of putting Carroll on the bench. And with the new season Carroll will get even harder competition. Cavani, Suarez and Leandro Damiâo is before him in the line.

Brought in Damiao, Di Maria and Ter Stegen for this season together with some youngster. The problem is that noone wants Carroll, Cole and Aquilani so they are just gathering dust and collecting the payments.

SUMMARY

It’s clear that Sterling is getting more and more closer to getting his name on the scoreboard, a header on the post and an offside goal. I don’t think it will take much longer if you ask me. Nothing much else to say. Our first FA round completed … and hopefully the last is played on Wembley

RELISH THE RED

LEAGUE TABLE

Chelsea with their ten match winning streak seems impossible to stop

20 rounds have been played with United one match advantage to us. Between us and Arsenal its pretty clear its going to be win-or-loose situation games for glory. Its going to be tough but this is why we love football

UPCOMING MATCHES

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/190/kommandematcher.jpg/

I wouldn't expect anything else than wins in each game. But, should I scarify the Carling to prevent any unlucky injuries toward the Arsenal game? The league competition is too tight having key players injured. Although loosing against the Red Devils is not be accepted with the fans ... neither would I
