Barcelona Retain Champions League Crown

4-5-1
Line Up - David De Gea, Rafael, Jonny Evans, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra, Marek Hamsik, Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Nani, Antonio Valencia, Wayne Rooney
Subs Used - Ryan Giggs, Danny Welbeck

Though the result didn't go our way i was very pleased with the efforts my team made tonight & they can be very proud of themselves. Twice we pegged them back but cuden't find a reply the third time, David Villa & Messi ran the show with 2 & 1 goals respectively..Nemanja Vidic almost put us ahead before Barca's third but was well saved by Victor Valdes. So that brings season 1 to an end, hopefully next season will bring further success to the already retained Premiership crown.

Transfer Thoughts

Right so im after some transfer targets for the summer that would fit in well with the United set up..Currently i have Carlos Fierro joining up imminently & the only strong target i have is Jack Rodwell. I also admire Kyle Walker & Aaron Ramsey but i don't know about them just yet..what are the best youth talents going that i could get a couple for cheap? Id happily welcome as many names as you have, once i have a group of names i can look them up & go from there :)
Transfer News: We have completed the signing of 17 year old highly rated youngster Robbie Cotton on a free after he was released by Blackburn. Also PSG have declared interest in Anderson however il only let him leave at the right price.
Transfer Roundup
As we near the curtain raiser of the new season i will quickly recap my activity in the market this summer. Carlos Fierro arrived from Chivas finally & has been put in the Under 18's squad to develop and learn, i will look to give him some first team action maybe in a cup game & depending on his progression could get some league run outs. Il look to Javier to tutor him & maybe next season il send him out on loan. Robbie Cotton signed on a free after being released from Blackburn, this lad has alot of potential & just like Carlos will look to develop him & gradually get him involved as time goes on. The 2 main signings first off was Kyle Walker from Spurs, although Rafael has RB covered with backup from Jones & Smalling im looking for these guys to make more of an impact in the CB role this season especially with Ferdinand ageing & Kyle can rotate with Rafael. After a tug of war with Everton i finally managed to land Jack Rodwell, im very happy with this buy as ive been watching him much of last season and was doing really well. He will be straight into the first team action to fight for the Cm place with the likes of Hamsik,Carrick,Giggs,Pogba,Cleverley. With Rodwell's arrival i decided i was going to get rid of wither Michael Carrick or Anderson & in the end i kept Carrick, the Brazilian didnt get much game time last season and didn't really improve a great deal so i felt it best to sell him for £4M to PSG who were after him for quite sometime. Federico Macheda has been sold for £1M, didn't really have much use for him as i already have Will Keane & Carlos Fierro lurking in the shadows. One player who came back from a very successful loan spell last season was Ben Amos who developed amazingly during his time at Ipswich, i rejected a £1M bid from Fulham because i want him as my 3rd choice keeper challenging Anders for that backup role. It's very unlikely il be bringing in anymore players this summer or even in January so this will be the squad i will use for the next season.
Pre Season - A pretty decent warm up for the season ahead with 3 wins & a draw, grabbing a 6-0 thumping in that spell. With players away on olympic duty this was a chance for some of our youngsters to get a run out & they done very well! Now over to the Community Shield clash with FA cup winners Newcastle United who no longer have Yohan Cabaye who was sold to Chelsea & Papiss Cisse.

Carrick Strike Ensures United Retain The Shield

4-5-1
Line Up - David De Gea, Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra, Marek Hamsik, Park Ji Sung, Darren Fletcher, Nani, Antonio Valencia, Wayne Rooney
Subs Used - Ryan Giggs, Michael Carrick, Ashley Young

A great way to open the new season, a clean sheet & we once again bring the charity shield back to Old Trafford. Nani put us ahead after 20mins, N'castle cuden't really get into the match as we controlled possession throughout the game. The Newcastle skipper Colocinni was sent off in stoppage time but there was still time for Michael Carrick to unleash a 30 yard rocket to ensure us the win at Wembley.

Manchester United 2 - 0 Newcastle United
Dunno if you can still buy:

Goalies: Zoet, Bizot
Defenders: Pieters, Martins Indi, Ramlal
Midfielders: Wijnaldum, Fer, Luuk de Jong, Siem de Jong (brothers, have spoken to them IRL), Strootman, Anita
Attackers; Toivonen, Matavz, Tadic, Dost

All Dutch competition
I've spoken to coloccini just this Monday
Well done mate, good first season. It's not easy on FM12, even with united as city are so strong now and Chelsea, Arsenal, even spurs and liverpool are all capable of winning the league. I have started many times and quit before the season ends because I just can't keep pace with City!

I'm with united currently (Again) as they are my team. Managed to win the league cup, premier league and the champions league in my first season which was amazing but then I followed it up by winning nothing in my second...gutted!

Rodwell Comes On To Break The Madejski Barrier

4-4-2
Line Up - David De Gea, Rafael, Phil Jones, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra, Marek Hamsik, Darren Fletcher, Nani, Antonio Valencia, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck
Subs Used - Jack Rodwell, Paul Pogba

It took us a while to break through the home sides defence but we eventually got there, i brought Jack Rodwell on after an hour for his United debut & 5mins later he got the opener! Wayne Rooney doubled our lead with 15mins to go & thats how it finished. I hope this season's a special one!

Reading 0 - 2 Manchester United
