Liverpool F.C - The Road to Europe

With Marseille beating me 2-0 in the first leg in France, we won them 4-0 in the second leg, meaning we are through to the Quarter Finals. It amazes me how well we play at Anfield. I guess it's the spirit of the Kop

Arguably my best youth coach Dave Parnaby has been poached by Tottenham, who offered him better wages. Damn it.

Manchester City has inflicted my first Prem loss since 26th October last year, winning me 3-2.

Academy graduate Bradley Seddon-Griffiths has signed a youth contract and will join my U18s. The 15-year-old center midfielder is labelled as the next Scott Parker and Steven Gerrard has backed him to achieve great things at Liverpool.

Martin Kelly will be injured for about 2 months after being knocked down during a Reserve game, just as well - he's not getting any playing time at Liverpool and my mind is set about him leaving in the summer. I would have loved to keep him but he has just not lived up to the hype.

I am through to the FA Cup Semi-Final with a 5-0 win over Newcastle in the quarters. Carlos Fierro scored a hat trick against the Toon, Jordan Henderson scored one, and Mario Balotelli scored the last. The latter has just completely recovered from his lengthy injury which he suffered a few weeks before the January transfer window.

Out of these four teams Manchester United, Chelsea and Southampton, we drew Southampton in the semi-final of the FA Cup. A pleasing draw and I think my passage to the final is already virtually guaranteed.

I've been given a fairly easy route in the Champions' League, with Liverpool first facing Lyon in the Quarter Finals, and the winner of the two legs will face either Dortmund or Porto.

Manchester City and Manchester United face each other in the Quarters, and the winner of the two legs will face either Arsenal or A.C. Milan.

Jordan Henderson, who has been contributing some excellent performances lately, is rewarded for his consistency as he is now one of the fans' 'favored personnel', along with Luis Suarez, Andy Carroll, Sebastian Coates, Carlos Fierro, and former Reds boss Rafa Benitez who has retired from football management.

Jordan Hendo has scooped the March Player of the Month and Carlos Fierro came in third for that award. The latter has also scooped the March Young Player of the Month(again), while Mbaye Niang and Jack Robinson coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively for the award, both Liverpool players. Jordan Henderson's strike has come in second for March Goal of the Month while I have come in third for March Manager of the Month.


Three 5-0 wins in a row! New record. Apart from the loss to Man City it has been an otherwise perfect month.

In the first leg of the Champions' League Quarter Finals Man City beat Man Utd 2-6 at Old Trafford, while Milan beat Arsenal 2-0 at the San Siro.

Dortmund vs Porto and Liverpool vs Lyon next.

Lyon brushed aside by Balotelli brace


Mario Balotelli showed that his recent lengthy injury didn't affect him much by bagging two goals as Liverpool coasted to a 3-0 victory over Lyon in Stade de Gerland. The French side will travel to Anfield in the second leg and know that they have little chance of progressing to the semi-finals of the Champions' League.

Balotelli opened the scoring for Liverpool with a weak shot from a tight angle, and Reds captain Steven Gerrard added to the tally with a well-taken penalty after being brought down in the penalty area. Swedish midfielder Kim Kallstrom was sent off for ungentlemanly conduct in the 70th minute - which only served to aid Liverpool's cause as Balotelli rounded off the victory for his side with his twenty-first goal of the season.

Well, surprisingly, in the second leg against Lyon at Anfield we drew 0-0. Still, we get to the semi-final, where we will face German club Borussia Dortmund.

Man City has beaten Man Utd 8-3 on aggregate and will face Milan who beat Arsenal in the semi-final.

I don't know if I'm being too ambitious, but I'm thinking of a treble this season.

I am already in the FA Cup Semi-Final, the Champions' League Semi-Final, and top of the Premier League in the middle of April with 2nd-placed Man City rather far behind? Why not?
