Lucas Leiva has been handed a two-match ban for his horror tackle in the FA Cup Final against Chelsea meaning he will miss the last matchday of the Premier League against northwest rivals Manchester United, and also the opening matchday of next season.
I lost 2-0 to Manchester United on the last day of the season, but that will do little to dampen our happiness of clinching a Double and a possible Treble next week.
Man City triumph in penalty shootout

In a heartbreaking final for Liverpool, Man City were lucky to win a closely-fought match as Luis Suarez and Carlos Fierro both missed their penalties for Liverpool to hand the Champions' Cup to Manchester City.

Edin Dzeko and Samir Nasri both scored to keep City ahead with a 2-0 lead, but former City man Mario Balotelli scored twice to help Liverpool equalize. The Merseyside club came close to snatching a winner a couple of times, but in the end it went to penalties and unfortunately for the boys at Anfield, it wasn't to be.

Man City's victory means that both clubs have now clinched a double, with Man City winning the League Cup and the Champions' League while Liverpool have the FA Cup and the English Premier League.

In his post match conference, Tham said, "although we lost, I am very proud of the lads for being able to reach this far in such a tough competition and am glad they have fulfilled my minimum expectations. This loss will encourage us and has made us hungry for a second shot at this competition next season."

Golden Boot
The Liverpool squad, save for those in the World Cup squads, have gone on vacation.
Mario Balotelli has won the Champions' League Golden Boot and Champions' League Best Player award, as well as one of the 13 goals he scored in the Champions' League ranking 2nd in this season's Champions' League Best Goal award.
Despite Mario Balotelli's goal-scoring exploits, the coaches report that he is rather lazy in training.

The players below are involved in the World Cup. Steven Gerrard is cut from the 30-man preliminary squad from England and Mbaye Niang is also cut from the France squad for the 2014 World Cup.
Felipe Anderson is 2nd for the May Young Player of the Month.
Spurs have enquired about Jack Robinson and I have quoted 20 million for the young left-back. Yep, they won't fork the money out for a 4 million rated player, so all is good.

Philip Pritchard, my Welsh striker who came through the academy, has signed a professional contract with the club.

It's only the first day of the summer transfer window but Liverpool has already announced two new signings.

Buru

A young Brazilian left-back who agreed to join Liverpool two seasons ago from Santos in a 1.5 million deal, he is one for the future and looks set to shine. He will be rotated with Alessandro Rossi for the left-back position in the Reserves and U18s.

Roger Doux

This young French center-back was signed from Spurs for 5 million, and another one for the future.
Brian Eastwick, one of my youth coaches, have announced that he will retire at the end of the new season.

Jamie Carragher has also announced his intention to retire at the end of the new season on the same day as Brian Eastwick, at the age of 37, at the end of his current contract.

You might want to talk to Carragher about taking a staff role in the club.
Paul Lambert has been sacked as Everton manager as Everton is taken over by local businessman Sean Murphy, and Murphy is said to be keen on appointing either Steve McClaren or Kim Nam-II. Steve McClaren has only recently joined Queens Park Rangers as their manager while Kim Nam-II was sacked after three months in his very first managerial position at Fulham.

Giambattista Venturati has signed for Liverpool as a fitness coach, Fernando Moraes has signed on as a goalkeeping coach, Luigi Piangerelli as a scout, and Alessandro Nista as a goalkeeping coach as well.

Already did in my first season ;)
My transfer budget is currently set at 40 million. I expected about 60-70 million for winning a Double. Miserly Livepool owners.

Yaya Sanogo looks set to go out on loan for the season with five clubs interested in loaning him, while two clubs are interested in permanent transfers.
