Yaya Sanogo has gone to Marseille and will remain there until the end of the season.

Seydou Keita has come out and talked to the media about the transfer saying he didn't think the loan move for Sanogo was the right one for such a quality player, but as I said before Suarez, Fierro, Niang, Balotelli, even Carroll, is in front of him in the pecking order so I am trying to give him more first-team chances.
Junior Hoilett, whom I chased in my first season at Liverpool and eventually lost his signature to Lazio, has moved back to England with Sunderland. He spent only one season at Lazio before hopping to Inter Milan, but stayed for only one season again, and now, has made the move back to England, joining Sunderland who already has the likes of Joe Cole and Salomon Kalou within their ranks.
In other major news across England, Louis van Gaal has retired from the game and left his post as Arsenal manager, with Paul Lambert being touted by the media as the hot favorite to take over although Arsenal's first team coach Paul McGuiness is also likely to be promoted to manager.

Everton have made former Leicester manager Henning Berg their new manager in a surprise announcement. Berg hails from Norway and beat the likes of Kim Nam-II and Steve McClaren, who were both named as favorites to replace Paul Lambert, to the manager job at Goodison Park.

Just a few hours after getting a new manager, Everton have confirmed the transfer of Manchester United winger Ashley Young. The Englishman played only 38 games in all competitions for United within the period of 3 seasons, and is said to be delighted to move on from his nightmare spell at Old Trafford.
Claudio Ranieri has retired from football management, ending his managerial career at Chelsea and leaving his post as Chelsea manager for the second time. Paul Lambert is also linked to this position as well as their London rivals, Arsenal.

One of my first team coaches Stewart Houston has decided to retire from coaching. Originally starting out as a coach at Liverpool after being signed from Arsenal in the summer of 2011, Houston resumed duties as first team coach from January 2013, and he will be missed by many of the players whom he worked closely with.
Carlos Fierro and Mario Balotelli has been named as the Best Signing and 2nd Best Signing of last season's Premier League.
Luis Suarez has been picked as the Liverpool Fans' Player of the Year for a second consecutive time.

13/14 Liverpool Best Eleven: Reina, Montoya, Coates, Wilson, Enrique, Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Suarez, Fierro, Balotelli

The Liverpool board have upped my transfer budget to 60 million after I told them that my goal is to win the league this season. That's more like it!
Charlie Adam has rejected Schalke's transfer offer. The German club has offered to match the amount on Charlie Adam's release clause of 3 million but the Scottish midfielder has rejected a contract offer. Schalke has also offered 3 million for Stewart Downing, which is also the England national's release clause, and it remains to be seen whether the winger will accept Schalke's contract offer or not.
After being linked to the Chelsea and Arsenal jobs, Paul Lambert goes and becomes manager of Leicester City. I don't understand some managers sometimes.

Stewart Downing has, like Charlie Adam, rejected Schalke's contract offer and looks set to be ready to fight for his place at Anfield.
Arsenal have hired Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager.
I have got the board to improve the club's training facilities and a new lucrative contract, with the Thomas Werner agreeing to both demands. The improved training facilities will be completed by January while I am expected to receive a better contract very soon.

Everton have signed Oliver Giroud and Rafal Murawski, both on frees. The new manager seems to be very interested in transfer business.

Fabio Aurelio has been approached by Sunderland, who want the Brazilian as an assistant coach, but he has agreed to stay on as first team coach at Anfield after I offered him a better contract. Robbie Fowler has also penned a three-year contract to remain with the club until 2017 as first team coach and my assistant manager Steve Clarke has signed a contract of the same length. Various staff whose contracts expire next season are also in talks with the club over new contracts while I have, to the delight of the board and the fans, signed a new five-year contract worth 150,000 per week.

I have offered out-of-favor Daniel Agger to clubs and both Newcastle & Roma are interested in the Danish defender. Both have come forward with official bids but I have accepted Newcastle's offer instead of Roma's as the English side has offered better money.

No clubs are willing to put in an offer for Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing, who have recently arrived back at Liverpool from Schalke.
I want to stay and fight for my place - Downing
Stewart Downing has stated that although he had loved his season at Schalke, he had made up his mind to stay at Liverpool and fight for his place at Anfield. "I feel that I am not done yet with Liverpool and I am determined to become a success here. I wasn't part of the team that won the Double last season and I hope to help the club to further glory."
Raheem Sterling has signed a three-year contract with the club while Jack Robinson and Danny Wilson have both been rewarded for their performances for Liverpool last season and both have penned four-year contracts.
Nigel Clough, Nigel Clough, the manager of Derby, has taken charge at Chelsea. Yes, yes, I know it's a complete joke. Maybe Roman brought Nigel Clough in because he managed to beat my Liverpool side a couple of times with Derby.
Sky Sports News
Liverpool's Danish defender has joined Newcastle United in a 7.5 million deal. The Dane dropped from first-choice center back to third-choice as the emergence of youngsters Sebastian Coates and Danny Wilson pushed him down the queue for the center-back position. Agger, 29, believes he still has many years left in him and hopes that he can bring success to the Toon.

"I am very happy to have come to Newcastle," said Agger. "I am always amazed whenever I see the Toon fans as they are very passionate about the game and their club just like the Liverpool supporters. I am very glad that I have signed for such a huge club and I can't wait to put a Newcastle shirt on and get the season underway. I believe I still have many good years left and I hope to give my all to Newcastle within these years."

Agger will certainly not be the only Liverpool departure this season, with the club reportedly hoping to off-load four to five more players.
World Cup
England has progressed to the semi-finals of the World Cup 2014, beating Spain 4-2 impressively in the 2nd round before defeating Greece 2-1 in the quarter-finals. The European team and the fans are said to be very delighted that their country have got so far into the tournament and were harboring hopes of going all the way and winning the competition for the first time since 1966.

Sky Sports News
Liverpool's Irish coach Liam Brady has returned to Arsenal. Formerly a scout for Arsenal before signing on for Liverpool as a coach, the 58-year-old will now continue his love affair with the Gunners, taking up a coaching role within the club instead of his previous appointment as scout.

Man City have broke the bank to sign former Liverpool target Marouane Fellaini from Everton - and SSN speculates that this will not go down well with the Everton fans and that new manager Henning Berg is not making a really good impression on them for selling one of the club's star players.

Andre Wisdom has moved to Birmingham from Liverpool in a 600k deal.
