A really good pre-season, considering the fact I only played about three or four first-team players in every game.

I have done a lot of wheeling and dealing in the transfer market but I won't show you my transfer history until the end of August.
Jose Enrique and Juan Mata played for Spain in a 2-0 friendly win over Italy.

All Enrique will need is a rest but Mata's injury is more serious, keeping him out for two months until October and he'll be missing the start of the season - what a bummer, my new signing too.
Liverpool are linked very closely with Tottenham's Tom Huddlestone, Aaron Lennon & Arsenal's Theo Walcott.
Liverpool announce signing of forgotten Walcott

Liverpool have announced the signing of Theo Walcott, 26, from Arsenal.

The winger has been left to rot on the bench for Arsenal for many years now and only made 6 league appearances last term. Nonetheless he is fortunately thought of highly by England manager Stuart Pearce and his international career showed no signs of stopping even with his little playing time at Arsenal and it will be a boost for his England career signing for Liverpool as Walcott prepares to revive his career under the club he supported as a child.

"I am buzzing," said Walcott when interviewed during the press conference made to unveil the new Liverpool signing. "To sign for a club like Liverpool is what players all dream about especially if you have supported them your whole life. My career just halted for a few years at Arsenal and those few years have been wasteful, I am grateful to Glenn for giving me an escape route here and hopefully a route to more titles."

Walcott, whose last medal was as winner of the Europa League with Arsenal in 2013, will wear the No. 23 shirt for Liverpool last worn by Reds legend Jamie Carragher who retired from the game a few months ago.
A trademark Mario Balotelli goal and an own goal from Chelsea captain John Terry gave us a 2-0 win against Chelsea as we lifted the European Super Cup.
End of transfer window
It's the end of the transfer window and here is the result of my wheeling and dealing.

Stewart Downing never got to win the title medal he wanted, shame for him but I wanted to bring Mata in so he had to leave, to Southampton for a bargain 900k, and he is still an England international. If I didn't want to off-load him a lot I would have rejected Southampton's offer.

Johan Put, 18-year-old Belgian striker whom I signed from Genk just a season ago has left to Birmingham on loan. Charlie Adam and Seydou Keita has left Liverpool on frees - Adam has moved to Blackburn while Keita retired and went to Swansea as a youth coach.

Raheem Sterling, whose bad attitude has been getting on the other players' nerves, has moved to Derby for 2.3 million and his transfer has been praised by fans and players alike who did not like him for his attitude.

Phillip Pritchard has signed for Southampton as well for a fee of 1 million.

Marcao and Conor Coady have joined Osasuna and Watford respectively, both on loan but with views to permanent deals as I look to clear out some youngsters.

Alessandro Rossi is also at Roma on loan with a future fee of around the region of 3 million.

Yaya Sanogo has made a permanent move away from Liverpool to Olympiakos in Greece after returning from his loan spell at Olympique Marseille where he flopped and only made 12 league appearances. Sanogo turned down the chance to join Juventus in Italy for Olympiakos for 5 million, 15 million less than what Liverpool paid for him two years ago.

Fernando Muslera has moved to Juventus for 10 million after his fairly successful loan spell at Barcelona after failing to oust Pepe Reina as Liverpool's first choice keeper.
August
Been a good August.

Premier League table

We are 6th, three points away from 1st-placed Man City but we have a game in hand.

Steven Gerrard is 3rd for August Player of the Month.

Ben Howard is 2nd for August Young Player of the Month.

I'm 3rd in August Manager of the Month.
Suso has requested a transfer away from Liverpool after repeatedly failing to break into the first team. The request has been granted and Suso, 21, will now be on the lookout for a new club.
Spain have qualified for the European Championship 2016 with two qualifying games in hand.
We've been handed an easy group in the Champions' League, drawing with FC Porto, Panathinaikios, and Red Star in the Champions' League Group A for the group stages.

We played our first Champions' League match against Red Star and Theo Walcott officially joins Juan Mata(who hasn't even made his first Liverpool league appearance yet) & Felipe Anderson on the injury list - the former Arsenal winger will be out for three to four months... yikes.
Caglar Dogan made his Liverpool debut against Red Star and scored one goal, a debut to remember!
The Rise of Spain
Since Tham took over one year ago, Spain has rose from 9th to 4th in the World Rankings.
I will attempt to kickstart my old Liverpool save again, which was played until the start of 2015-16 season. Watch this space.
September
Not a very good month..

We must improve on our league position soon.
