Caglar Dogan has gone back to his homeland, on loan to Freiburg, and will play in his native Bundesliga for the rest of the season.
We lost 2-0 against Arsenal in the League Cup Semi-Final as Mario Balotelli got himself sent off for a vicious challenge.

"Will Mario Balotelli be featuring in your plans anytime soon?" I was asked at the post match press conference.

"No, tackles like that are a disgrace and have no place in the game. It might be best if he sat out a few matches," I answered aggressively - and the press could clearly see how unhappy I was over Balotelli's dismissal. We played rather well until he got himself sent off and Arsenal dominated the match after he left the pitch - finally scoring in the 81st minute and then another in the 91st.

I fined Balotelli a week's salary and we had a private talk that didn't go down very well.

However the Italian has not requested a transfer and until he does, he'll playing football for Liverpool. If he wishes to leave I will not stop him.
Getting into an argument with Mario Balotelli? I thought you knew better.
Unlucky that you lost against Arsenal, with them scoring such late goals.

Neither my players nor me clinched any of the Monthly awards this season. Now that's something new.

January was, rather, not the best of months.

Arsenal has been the worst sinners, inflicting 2-0 and 1-0 losses to me both in the English League Cup and the English Premier League. Although this has been a shite month I am delighted with our only win of the month, a 3-0 win against Arsenal in the second leg of the League Cup semi-final. At first we seemed doomed after losing in the first leg 2-0, with both goals coming after the 80th minute and after Mario Balotelli was sent off for a vicious tackle. With Liverpool still 0-0 after half-time during the second leg, I rallied the troops and told the boys that their performance had been well and truly shit-like and they needed to buck the fuck up - and my aggressiveness turned out to be beneficial as we hit Arsenal with 3 goals to win the League Cup semi-final over two legs 3-2 - with the second goal/equalizer and the third goal/winner coming from our faithful captain Steven Gerrard. After the match I was praised by players and coaches alike, as my assistant manager Steve Clarke and the players that were in the dressing room at that time like Reina praised the words I chose during my half-time team talk and that it played a major part in all three goals.

It is the end of the Janaury transfer window and here is my official transfer history for the 14/15 season.

lots of wheeling and dealing in the january transfer is good to see. Hopefully the hitch with bolotelli wont damage the squad harmony or affect his personal performances. Sitting pretty at Christmas.
Ironically the media are linking me with Swansea's Joe Allen but I have told the media that it is unlikely that I would make a move for the Welsh midfielder.

Could have been a good month but the loss against Arsenal ruined it. They kicked us out of the FA Cup at the Fifth Round with a 4-1 win - with my only goal coming from Jordan Henderson. I have told the press that I am extremely unhappy with the way we went out of the competition even if it was against an arguably similarly-powered team and to lose on a scale of 4-1 was unacceptable - although I added that this would not shake things up and I would not make drastic first team changes just because of this loss.

Premier League table

I am 2nd, level on points with 1st-placed Man City, but I have played two games less so I am not really that worried.

Our next match is against Watford in the English League Cup final.
Liverpool win League Cup a record ninth time

Liverpool won the English League Cup for a ninth time today after easily disposing of Watford 3-0.

No one expected Danny Wilson to net the first goal but he did, the Scottish international running forward and meeting a low cross by Martin Montoya.

Mario Balotelli and Stewart Downing scored next to give Liverpool the win and a ninth League Cup.

But the one who stole the show was Martin Montoya.

The Reds' young Spanish right-back had a hand in all three goals and was awarded the Man of the Match award. Speaking to reporters right after the match on the field of Wembley as his teammates ran around celebrating the victory, the former Barcelona man said: "I'm delighted to have won this cup and even more so with my performance today. This adds to my growing medal collection collected here in England and I really hope I can add to that. We have a quality team and I am very confident we can do a second Double by clinching the Premier League title again this season. For now, I am going to go celebrate with my team."

We then spoke to Stewart Downing, Liverpool's 30-year-old left winger, the man who put in the third goal of the 3-0 rout.

"I'm delighted to have scored in such an important match," said a pleased Downing. "Especially how you consider that this time last year I was in Germany, pondering over my future at this club and how certain I was that I had no future here - but I still made the choice to come back and fight and I definitely made the right choice. I hope to win my first Premier League title medal with Liverpool as I was in Schalke last season and very confident that I can do just that this year. But overall I am pleased I am back playing football for Liverpool, at Liverpool."
My best youth coach Jose Segura has been poached by Barcelona.

We wish Jose Segura all the best for the future.

Segura demanded crazy wages when I attempted to offer him a new contract to convince him to stay with the club and I decided to simply end talks and let him move if these were the wages he was demanding - and move he did.

I am currently short on staff - short of two or three coaches, first team coaches, and youth coaches. Sigh.
We lost to Derby 1-0(those evil people, I always lose to them, Jesus.) but in the next match we won against Southampton 3-0 - with Mbaye Niang marking his comeback from a lengthy injury with a goal.
We beat Sporting 3-0 in the second round of the Champions' League First Knockout Round and we will be advancing to the quarter-finals - it was initally 0-0 but Suarez came on at the 60th minute and by the end of 90 minutes all three goals were his. With a score of 1-0 to us in the first leg, we won on aggregate 4-0, not a bad score.
Liverpool U18s have won the U18 League! Liverpool's youngsters stormed the entire U18 league and won in early March with many more games remaining - my summer signing Danny Grundei being the standout performer.
Seems like your bogey teams are Arsenal and Derby!! Are you having to change your tactics all all to deal with them?

I find that most teams play the standard 4-4-2 formation, and I often had to tweak my gameplan when I came across a team that played anything different.

Best of luck and I hope your success continues!

#60770 Glenn T : We lost to Derby 1-0(those evil people, I always lose to them, Jesus.) but in the next match we won against Southampton 3-0 - with Mbaye Niang marking his comeback from a lengthy injury with a goal.
Yes, Kiwi, my 'bogey teams' as you called it - Derby is definitely one of them. Arsenal has also recently been added to the list.

I don't normally change my tactics and play in a 4-4-2 attacking formation all the time - but once in awhile to give myself a treat I play the Grid. Seldom do that nowadays though.
Felipe Anderson has done well to come back from a lengthy injury and has played in one reserve match since he suffered the injury and has come on as a substitute in an official league game to get him back to full match fitness.
