Football Manager 2013 Release Date

The official release date for Football Manager 2013 on PC and Mac will be Friday November 2nd at 00.01 GMT.

There is no official confirmation regarding Football Manager 2013 release date yet but it is believed this shall be revealed with the first FM 2013 official announcement.

Even though late October or early November seems like a natural choice based on release dates of previous FM arrangements, a couple of well-known online shops have listed Football Manager 2013 available on pre-order with a release date of 5 October 2012. So perhaps there's a good chance that FM 2013 could be out earlier this year.

Update 18 Sep: Sports Interactive have announced on their official Facebook page that video blogs will be coming out every weekday for the next 4 weeks. This means the last one will roughly be around 18 Oct, which places a possible release date on 19 October 2012.

Football Manager 2013 release date is expected mid-late October 2012 (estimate).
FM 2012, FM 2010, FM 2008, FM 2007 and FM 2006 were released during October 18-30, while FM 2011, FM 2009 and FM 2005 were out during November 5-14.

Original post updated to reflect new insight from a couple of well-known online stores. There's a good chance FM 2013 will be out earlier than the usual late Oct-early Nov prediction.

On a side note, we expect to begin accepting pre-order for the digital download edition of Football Manager 2013 later this month on our official store. Stay tuned!

Here is an excerpt of the official announcement by Miles Jacobson, Sports Interactive studio director:

I'm really excited to be able to announce that the release date for Football Manager 2013 on PC & Mac will be Friday November 2nd at 00.01 GMT – that'll be the time we'll turn on the Steam servers to allow people to start playing the game.
This year we also have a very special reward for those people who have pre-ordered the game from participating retailers – you'll actually get to play a version of the game 2 weeks upfront.

So, 2 weeks before release those who have pre-ordered you'll be able to download a beta version of the game which will be very close to the final game, and play to your hearts' content. The beta will include FM, classic mode & challenges, but will not include the network game.

This beta version will be playable until Monday November 5th, so if your game doesn't turn up until Monday's post, you'll still be able to play, but you’ll need to install the finished game after that point.

Saved games will be compatible with the final game.
