We shall now take a look at how the September and October 2018 went, sorry for the long time between updates but I can only update at weekends now due to my job.

September began with a match at home to Kalmar FF which resulted in a 1-1 draw, this was followed by a disappointing 2-2 draw with Eskilstuna City whom I felt we could have and should have easily beaten but this result did relegate Eskilstuna City.

We then hosted Karlslund in a must win game to keep our chances of winning Superettan alive, we only just managed this with a 1-0 victory thanks to a goal from Gabriel Somi which also kept us in the top 3, slight disappointment followed once again as we drew 0-0 with Tegs SK.

September ended with a pleasing 3-0 victory over GIF Sundsvall with the goals being scored by Ville Kolehmainen, Robert Widmark and our loan signing from Helsingborgs IF Samuel Gustafson.

I was very pleased and confident heading into our only 2 games of October at home to Degerfors and away to Landskrona BoIS, the Degerfors game was a match I felt we had to win as I always prefer being in an automatic promotion spot than a playoff spot. We comfortably beat Degerfors 2-0 thanks to goals from Johannes Lagesson and Robert Widmsrk.

Unfortunately we would go on to lose the last match of October against Landskrona BoIS by two goals to one, this was also my 200th match in charge of Torns IF and our only goal was scored by Pontus Overgaard meaning we finished 3rd and would have to play Allsvenskan side Orebro SK in a play off.

I leave you with a song until I update again next week.

I bet that Pontus Overgaard dedicated his goal to you in your 200th match in charge of Torns IF :P

Time now to take a look at how the promotion playoff against Orebro SK went for us, these were the two biggest games in the club's history so far.

This is going to be short. Just summaries of the games.

1st Leg

Torns IF 2-1 Orebro SK
Scorers for Torns IF: David Yarar (OG) 9' Guri Baqaj 80'
Scorers for Orebro SK: Mikael Walterstrom (pen) 10'
Man of the Match: Edvin Ahmetovic (Torns IF)
Attendance: 4000 (Sold Out)

2nd Leg

Orebro SK 1-0 Torns IF
Scorer for Orebro SK: Johan Bertilsson 21'
Man of the Match: Oscar Berglund (Orebro SK)
Attendance: 14337

Orebro SK remain in Allsvenskan by victory via the away goals rule.
So unlucky not to win, hopefully you can do it next year!

So close Tango, It's disappointing that you lost on aggregate but I'm sure that Torns are a team destined for a promotion next year. Good Luck :D
