Another trophy! :D Keep going on in to fame and glory :)

Matthaus Takes On New Role

AC Milan manager Lothar Matthaus has capped a good season by taking over his first national side, although not really one you'd quite expect. He has taken over The Cook Islands U21s, in a move almost no-one could have predicted.

Matthaus has apparently been interested in taking up a national role for some months, and indeed he did apply for six teams earlier this season, including the Cook Islands senior side, but was laughed off by all of them. Matthaus has now won another European trophy, and feels it is high time to try again. He also allegedly applied for the vacant Cook Islands B role. He is said to be excited about the prospect of taking on this new challenge, and has promised fans to take the team as far as he can. He apparently hopes this will provide a stepping stone to managing the national team, and maybe even win something with them.

Matthaus' first match in charge of the Cook Islands under-21 side will be at home to Tonga's under-21 side on 12th August 2014. This is a big match for Matthaus to make his international debut in, as there is a big rivalry between Cook Islands and Tonga. Fans are confident that Matthaus will be able to pull off another good result, at his fourth team in three years.
BRILLIANT! Great job winning the Europa! That is a funny appointment indeed, but you'll make it. Good luck with the Cook Islands.
What is the thinking behind becoming the manager of the Cook Islands U21's? Aim to do well and then get a higher national job? It seems like an odd choice but I haven't necessarily agreed with your other ones but you seem to do so so well Blue - have to admire that!
In real life,I would be able to say I can see why Matthaus would take that job ( to find out if international management is for him, but he'd want to do it in a low-pressure job)but I'm not quite sure why you have. Ah well, will be interesting to see what youngsters you produce.

I wanted a national team job as well as Milan if I'm honest. If I don't like it, I can resign lol

Because I'm Matthaus lol :P also, I've only got two players in the squad at the moment lol :/
Who's your best player out of the two?

AC Milan To Sign Bregu

AC Milan are becoming the team to watch over the next few years, after confirming the signing of Albanian youngster Ervin Bregu from Flamurtari for around £300k. He becomes the 10th player to sign under Matthaus' reign, and the first of the 2014-15 season.

Matthaus has always made a point of trying to sign young players to dominate domestically and continentally too. Milan is the club where he has made this his priority the most though, signing eleven young players since he joined in February. He also likes to sign players from countries where you might not expect him to sign players from, because it is unlikely that many of the other big clubs such as Juventus and Barcelona will have also heard of them too. Indeed, Milan have recently signed players from Norway, Denmark, Belgium, and even Iran. Bregu just adds to this list of players with high potential at Milan.

Bregu will join on the 2nd January 2015, on a £475 p/w deal at the San Siro.
I hope he shines :P

He'd better do! Worst case scenario, I ship him off to rot at Inter :P
You will have one hell of a squad in a few years
