If anyone clicks on the Cook Islands spoilers on the OP after another 20 pages of this story they will probably go "well, that escalated quickly". :P
Thanks for the support you two :) he's meant to sort of be my Pazzini replacement, but I didn't want to buy someone quality, because I've still got Pato, Robinho, and Abel Hernandez. Don't want four quality strikers tbh.

EDIT: You try managing them Glenn!

After seeing your experiences with them, I don't think I ever will :))

Milan Sign Javi Garcia

AC Milan have completed their second transfer from Manchester City within a matter of days, this time signing Javi Garcia on loan until the end of the season. He signs for the club just days after teammate John Guidetti also signed for the club on loan.

Garcia had been transfer listed at City, due to being deemed surplus to requirements by the backroom staff. He signed for the club in 2012, and in the two seasons since then made just one appearance after his £17.5m move from Benfica at the start of the 2012-13 season. Last season, however, he spent it out on loan with Atletico Madrid of Spain, where he had a much improved time, scoring twice in 29 appearances. It was fair to say that at first he was not well accepted at the Vicente Calderón, because he started his professional career with city rivals Real Madrid, where he failed to make the grade, and sold to Osasuna. Strangely though, Real Madrid bought him back a year later, before then selling him to Benfica in 2009, after making 15 appearances in his single season back at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Garcia was apparently close to signing for Atletico on a permanent deal before Milan came in with this loan deal. They hope it can be successful and push them on to their first Serie A title for three years, and only their second since 2004. Garcia will wear the number 12 shirt for Milan.

Matthaus Takes On Chile Role

AC Milan manager Lothar Matthaus has been confirmed as the new manager of Chile, just days after leaving his post with the Cook Islands. He has been keen to work with a senior national team for some time, and jumped at the chance to work with players of the quality of Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal, and Gary Medel.

Matthaus had previously been in charge of the Cook Islands under-21 side, but left that post a few days ago, citing a lack of support from the FA and the backroom staff. There was rumours that he had already applied for senior national team roles, and it seems those rumours were true. At the time Matthaus resigned from his previous international role, the senior jobs at Chile and Norway were both free, and it seems Matthaus can now be considered good enough to take a senior job on, after previously being rejected by sides such as Kenya and Samoa. His aim will be to take his new Chile side to the latter stages of the Copa America next year.

Matthaus' first match in charge of Chile will be away to England, the side ranked third in the world rankings on 13th August 2014, which is just a few days away.
Good luck with Chile and against England, doing magnificent so far!

England is a good side to have a debut match against. Good luck with Chile.
