Stewart Downing, who had only joined QPR in the summer shocked the boss as he handed in a transfer request after a lack of appearances having only made so far 5 appearances. He was said that he was promised a run in the team but since that didn't happen, he was left with no choice but to hand in the request. He has been offered now to clubs for a reported fee of £5m with Patrick hoping several clubs will put a bid in for him.
