2013-05-11 01:01#99536 k1rups : Great start to life in league 1 and some good strong signings
Thanks :) I'm hoping that we can keep going on strong. :)
Amazing so far. If you can continue like that, you could push for a automatic promo spot!

I'm going to stay as realistic as possible until after the new year, then I can judge my chances :)

Manchester United 2012-2017

Hey guys, this is my first team review of this story where I look back at he bigger clubs' progress over the last five years. I hope you enjoy! :)

2012-2013

Manchester United were crowned champions of England for a record 20th time. City rivals, Manchester City, finished in second and Chelsea finished in third. Wayne Rooney was Manchester United's top scorer, with an impressive tally of 25 goals in 43 appearances. They reached the Champions League final, where Real Madrid won by a goal to nil. They also reached the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup, where Man City were victors. They were knocked out by Spurs early on in the FA Cup.

Here were their transfers for that season:

Manchester United finished in fourth place, the first time they ever finished outside of the Top Three in the Barclays Premier League. It was also the first time since 1990 that Liverpool finished above them. They barely made the Top Four, with Norwich just one point behind them in fifth. Wayne Rooney was Man Utd's top scorer that season, with 16 goals in 45 appearances. Manchester United were knocked out of the Champions League in the First Knockout Round by CSKA Moscow, but they did reach the FA Cup final. However, Arsenal beat them on penalties. They were knocked out by QPR in the Capital One Cup third round.

Here were their transfers for that season:

(All transfers not shown were players released. Most notable was Ryan Giggs, who retired.)

*NOTE* Sir Alex Ferguson retired after this season, José Mourinho became the Man Utd manager.

2014-2015

Manchester United reclaimed the title this season. Manchester City finished in second, and Chelsea in third. Man Utd's top scorer that season was Danny Welbeck, who scored 18 goals in 39 appearances. 2015-2016

Manchester United finished second in a league season where Man City were crowned champions, and Liverpool finished in third, just behind Man Utd on goal difference.
