Dortmund Vs Bayern

MT: Hello I'm Martin Tyler and welcome to our second ever live Bundesliga game.I'm here with Alan Smith
AS: Yes thank you Martin and we have a fantastic game today. Two great teams who will be fighting for the title. This game could prove to be crucial towards the end of the season.
MT: It certainly could be important. Both sides lost their top scorer from last season. Pizzaro has departed to Fulham and Lewandowski to Chelsea. Both teams are still up to it defensively.
AS:Yeah, it's possible that the game could be closed and that there won't be many goals.
MT: Hopefully though their will be goals. We have just been told the starting lineups and here they are:

Dortmund: ter Stegen,Schmelzer,Shawcross,Hummels,Sakai,Bender,Sahin,Reus,Gaitan,Kuba,Schieber

Bayern:Neuer,Badstuber,Dante,Kirchoff,Lahm,Martinez,Gustavo,Schweinsteiger,Ribery,Shaqiri,Mandzukic

Kick Off

40th minute-MTSahin is set for the free-kick just inside Bayern's half. He smashes it and it's high, and Hummels has lost his marker here, he's not offside and Mats Hummels heads Dortmund into the lead.
AS Martinez didn't go with him but it;s a fantastic run by Hummels. Timed to perfection and a great header into the corner of the net. It's against the run of play but Dortmund won't care.

67th minute: MT Shaqiri takes on Schmelzer and beats him. He cuts it back into the box but everyone misses it and
AS He's given a penalty. For what I don't know but the referee is having a word with Sven Bender.
MTBastian Schweinsteiger steps up to take it...... He runs up and smashes it into the corner of the net. 1-1 and you can hear he boo's from the Dortmund crowd.

82nd minute: MT Reus switches the ball to Piszczek. Piszczek takes on Badstuber and gets past him, he cuts inside and out comes Neuer and Piszzcek slots it through his legs. dortmund regain the lead.
AS Fantastic finish and a great goal for the right back who likes to get forward.

86th minute:MT Piszczek is running at Badstuber again and he beats him for pace. Dante comes over to deal with him but Piszczek gets past him and floats it over to the back post and Kirchoff has not marked Grosskreutz properly and Kevin Grosskreutz ends the game.
AS yeah it's game over. Great work from Piszczek again who has been brilliant since coming on.

89th minute:MT Reus has the ball just inside the Bayern half and he swings it over the top of the Bayern defence and Grposskreutz is making the run, Kirchoff can't get there and Grosskreutz can easily score his second of the game. He taakes it around Neuer and Bayern have been outclassed.

Player of the month

A very tough decision between Mats Hummels and Marco Reus. Reus has won 4 of these and Hummels none so I will give it to Mats. Ever solid at the back and and contributing at the front with 2 goals this month. He makes sure that opposition corners are not a threat but when it's our corner they better watch out because that's were he got his 5 goals from last season. Well played marco Reus as well.

Managers notes

A month that was full of good performances but not always the result to go with it. We were unlucky to only get a point against Hamburger. The Mainz result was fair. Two fantastic goals. Bender a 35 yard volley into the top corner and Ivanschitz for them with a long shot.AC was also a fair result considering both sides defended really well. Two great results away at Stuttgart. The victory in the league gave us a 4 point lead over them. They were unbeaten till then. Were still in first and Stuttgart still in second. We also qualified for the Champions league knockout round. Overall a great month.
A 35 yard volley from Bender? Bet you were happy after that :))

Inter milan website

Inter Milan are delighted to announce that Lars Ricken has joined the club after Mourinho's sacking last week. Ricken turned his back on Chelsea and Dortmund for our club. He has not held a press conference yet but we are sure that he is as happy as we are that he is on board.

Borussia Dortmund website

Dortmund legend and current manager Lars Ricken has rejected contract offers from both Inter Milan and Chelsea FC. He really considered a move to Chelsea but just laughed off interest from Inter. We are pleased that he has chosen the club that he loves and we hope that he can continue to bring us success in the future.

Which do you believe?

Lars Ricken Press Conference:Live

Hello Lars and thank you for joining us. Now over the past 2 days we have been told that you have joined Inter, but we have also been told that you are staying at Dortmund. Which is true?

Lars Ricken: Take a guess?

OK, I'm guessing that you are staying here in Dortmund.

Lars Ricken: and you'd be correct. I love it here at Dortmund. I love the city, I love the people and I love this football club. I must admit that Chelsea was tempting but Inter was a straight no. They're players are not that good apart from a few of them.

So, will you consider any future offers from clubs

Lars Ricken: It really depends on the club that approaches me. I will not apply for any job myself. However if let's say Barcelona offer me a contract I will seriously consider a move. I imagine that Dortmund will be an even better at that time and could possibly be better than Barcelona so there is definitely the option of staying here. In fact that is the most likely option.

How good do you think Dortmund can be?

Lars Ricken: The best team in the world.

Player of the month

It's been a tough month because not many people have been very consistent. However Mats Hummels has put in two man of the match performances and has helped with 3 clean sheets. He also scored a goal for himself which is a great feature of his game. He has deserved those these two player of the months.

Managers notes

A decent month marred by the disappointing loss to now second place Bayer Leverkusen. It was a terribly boring game and the only goal of the game came from Arjtoms Rudnevs. The rest of the games we really should be winning. The Anderlecht result was a little poor but it doesn't matter because we still top the group. Speaking of the Champions league we have been drawn against SL Benfica. We are now 3 points ahead of Leverkusen who are level with points on 3rd place Stuttgart while Bayern are 3 points behind them in 4th.
Unlucky loss to an otherwise successful month. Keep it running mate.

Today Sky sports have announced that they will show the Bundesliga next season, along with the Premier League and the Liga BBVA.As we are in the January transfer window we have decided to send three of our reporters to Germany in which they will remain until the 1st of February. One of them is at the Allianz arena, one is at the Bayer arena and the other has gone to Signal Iduna park. We have just recieved some news from one of those three stadiums. Which will it be?

Hello and welcome to the signal Iduna park. We have just seen a fantastic young player drive through the gates. We know that he's has wanted to leave his current club for a while and if he didn't get a game there I'm not sure he'll get much of a game here. Can you guess who it is?
It's Stephan El Shaarawy. The AC milan wonderkid is reportedly coming to Borussia for a fee of £19 million. He has just gone in for contract negotiations and has been in there for around an hour now.
Here comes Stephan in his car and he's winding down the window so hopefully we get to speak to him. Here he comes...
Hello Stephan have you got time for a quick word?
Stephan: All you need to know is that the negotiations went very well and that I am a Borussia Dortmund player as of tomorrow.
There you have it El Shaarawy plays for Dortmund. I'm sure they will be thrilled with this signing.

Player of the months

There has not really a stand up performer these to months. That's because it was a very frustrating month. However I have to chose a winner and I think that it should go to Salomon Rondon. He scored 5 goals which i guess is respectable. So yeah Rondon is the winner.

Managers notes

A very disappointing month with only 1 good performance. We conceded two late goals. A last gasp equaliser for Hannover and an injury time winner for Benfica. I'm not too bothered about Benfica because we are still in the driving seat for the return leg.The game at home to Frankfurt was so frustrating because we had so many chances and we should have scored 4 or 5. We were just poor all month. POOR
Not the best month but not the worst either...big fan of Shaarawy and he has some outstanding games so great buy there! Hopefully the next month can bring a few better results and the loss against benfica isnt a big deal as dortmund should be strong at home!

Great results and a great signing in El Shaarawy!
