Same Game, New Save, Same Club, New World

Once again I'm playing on Football Manager 2012. As my last save is corrupted I stopped my story with Dartford but I decided to go back with them for this story. The difference is that I chose to start with only regens. So there is no real player, manager, chairman...in my game.

Without manager since the departure of Tom Sinclar, Dartford FC has today appointed Alex Sonwild at the vacant post.

Alex Sonwild, is the new manager of Dartford Football club. The 25 year old rookie played for the Darts since the age of 15 but never really manage to gain a starting place. Sonwild don't have experience in management but he has already completed is coaching course as he thought he won't have a great career as a player.

Sonwild turned down a player-manager contract declaring he wants to focus only on is new job.

Last time I started a story in the FM12 thread, Michael moved it with the FM13 stories so I think it's ok

If you are doing a story but with the [] Real Players box unticked, you do realize that the players are EXACTLY the same, but with a different name and appearance? For example, if I did it with Barca, they might have an Argentine forward called 'Javier Sanchez' that has identical stats to Messi. Just wanted to say, in case you thought it would be different. I like the idea of different names though.

Yeah I saw that City had a player called Argentine forward Carlos Aguero but I didn't know that the player had the same stats. Still it will be intresting to do it as I'm starting in a lower division where I don't even know the real players name.

Great to see someone taking charge of a lower league team. I really hope you stick with it as stories with lower league teams tend to be big successes (FMRookie with KUpS and Or.Dabool with Boreham Wood).

July 2011 - Preseason

The results

We had a great preseason, losing only one of our six friendlies. It was a hard 7-2 defeat against Championship side Millwall. We won all the other games, the most notable of them was against Motherwell (2-0) from Scotish Premier League. We also defeated Woking from Blue Square Bet Premier 2-1. All the players seems to fit in our tactics and I'm very keen to see our competitive results, as we were playing great football.

Transfer Window

As I didn't have money to spend either on transfers or wages, we only signed one player. We also brought in two new coaches.

In the rest of the world, Real Madrid signed José Vicente for €28M. The former Bilbao striker is a great prospect and he should be the leading striker of Los Merengues in a few years. Ramon did the same travel than José Vicente, becoming a Real player for €12M.

Milenko Jankovic from Serbia is now a Bayern Munich player. Know as one of the best midfielder in Europe he joined from Struttgart for a fee estimated at €15.5M.

Mauro Martinez crossed Atlantic for the same fee, joining Barcelona from Brasilian Cruzerio. Barcelona also bought Miguel Angel Zapico from Mallorca for €12M.

In England the managers didn't spend much, Tottenham recording the highest fee with the signing of Giannis Angelopoulos from Olympiakos for €5M.

Tactics

Here are our tactics. They all worked and I will rotate them depending on the type of game.

Facilities

The club will upgrade facilities in order to help the players reaching their potential and to form better youngsters.
