Brilliant story!
I think your moves on the transfer market were awesome, and now you're showing that you rly can do better than the last coach as they wanted :P
Your results are improving very well with the time and that's always a good thing. I believe you can do great things there, and of course I will be following this story.
2013-04-29 00:14#96170 FMJynx : tough start to the season, but it's nice to see you have picked up, pushed into the top half and began to rise into European places, great start, and some outrageously good signings, not sure on the departure of McArthur i myself think he links well with McCarthy but fair play in replacing him with Gonalons he's class!

Thanks, it was a rough start to the season. McArthur is not a defensive player and McCarth isn't as well. I prefer McCarthy 10 times better than McArthur and he got me a big percent of the fee that got Gonalons in. Thanks for reading and commenting Jynx!

2013-04-29 01:18#96175 Sonalexwild : Good month Jeremy, I knwew results could only get better. Keep it up and take Wigan to Europa League ;)

2013-04-29 07:23#96196 gambit84 : Nice start in the season Pauker! And great signings! I signed both Gonalons and Fierro in my career: the french guy is doing great! :) Keep going on like this! ;)

Thanks Gambit! The signings are starting to prove why I bought them. I agree, Gonalons is class! Thanks for reading and commenting Gambit.

Keep pushing toward Europe.
Thanks Northwood. Bout' time you commented ;). Thanks for reading and commenting Northwood!

2013-04-29 22:35#96433 neal09 : Really tough to lose your top striker, but Henriquez, Fierro, and Di Santo are obviously quality and can keep the goalscoring going. Nice updates so far, keep it up :)

It is tough! I'm hoping more on Henriquez and Di Santo as more than Fierro who is adjusting to life in the Premier League. Thanks for reading and commenting Neal.

2013-04-29 22:48#96442 Blue : Unlucky there Jeremy :( still confident in your abilities though!

It was just unlucky but I'll have him back soon. Thanks for reading and commenting Blue.

2013-04-29 22:58#96446 FMJynx : Very nice update, Short stories in between like this make the stories a whole more interesting looking forward to the next update, and il comment without being prompted next time, cos Jeremy Pauker deserves it;)

Thank you Jynx. It did take me a long time. Thanks for reading and commenting Jynx!

2013-04-30 11:00#96474 Glenn T : Brilliant as usual. Unlucky about the injury of Kone but you still have plenty of quality in the striking department. No doubt you're still gonna get the goals :D

Thanks Glenn. I hope that the striker department will be able to score while Kone is out. Thanks for reading and commenting Glenn.

Muamba to terminate Joel's loan

Fabrice Muamba has told the press that 'he will terminate Joel Roble's loan soon'. This doesn't come as a shock as the Spanish player has only played twice throughout the season. But, Joel has been kept out of the team because of Al-Habsi's great performances across the season. Nevertheless, the player has spoken greatly about his temporary boss and hopes that both of them can meet in better terms.

The Atletico Madrid player said," I've been requesting it to Muamba because I believe that I'm wasting my time here." The former U21 Spanish goalkeeper then said," I've definitely learned some things here at Wigan. I can defend the set-pieces better and I am more concentrated on the ball." The on loan Wigan player added," The Premier League certainly makes you think faster and help your game a lot. I have to thank Muamba and the staff here."

Though, Muamba felt differently about Joel's two performances throughout Wigan's season. The Latics boss said," Joel got a chance to impress against Carlisle, who are a League Two team. No offense to Carlisle, but you can't concede twice to them, especially if you play in the Premier League." The manager added," Joel played a great game when Al-Habsi was on international, but I think that Al-Habsi would've done better. Plus, if he would've really liked to be in the first-team, he would've played an exceptional match against Carlisle." Muamba's assistant manager, Graeme Jones said," We will terminate Joel's loan because he wants to and we will be looking for a goalkeeper to replace him." Before finalizing the press conference with the Daily Mail, Muamba said," Al-Habsi is the best player Oman has had in their history and perhaps one of the most under-rated goalkeepers in the game right now."

After the recent press conference that Muamba gave, Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers talked up to what the Wigan manager said. The Mereyside boss said," Muamba's right, Al-Habsi is playing at his peak. Nevertheless, Muamba has done a great job during his first six months at the helm of Wigan."

Carlisle? Looks like Macclesfield to me :P

Piscu and Jordi Gomez to join Reading in January

Spanish duo Jordi Gomez and Piscu will join fellow Premier League team Reading in a combined fee rumoured to be 4.5 million. Both players have played bit-part roles this season at Wigan, with Piscu even have to be loaned to Npower League 1 promotion contenders, Coventry. Meanwhile, Jordi Gomez had started great to the season, but had to be benched after Will Hughes's exceptional performances. Though, Wigan's manager, Fabrice Muamba has wished both players the best during their careers.

The English manager said," I'd like to wish both Piscu and Gomez all the best at Reading. Both players have been exceptional players and I hope that they have a great career at the Madjeski." The manager talked about both player's professionalism throughout negotiations by saying," Both Piscu and Gomez showed professionalism because negotiations took some time. They both handled them so quietly and they didn't tell their team-mates until the transfer was official." He then later said," That are the type of players I want. Players who are fierce and loyal to the club. Unfortunately, they were not on my plans and a permanent transfer was almost sealed last summer." The blue and whites manager finished the interview by saying," We might be looking to add 3-5 players in this window and seal some transfers for the summer."

Muamba seals two deals for the summer

Fabrice Muamba, current manager of high-flying Wigan Athletic have secured the services of two promising players, Bruno Martins Indi and David Ospina. Bruno Martins Indi will join Wigan in the summer after the Wigan manager secured his services after some days of negotiation of the contract. The player will join them because of the Bosman ruling, a rule made by FIFA letting players talk to clubs 6 months before their contract expire. The other signing, is Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina. The goalkeeper will join from relegation strugglers Nice, on a free transfer.

The Wigan manager has expressed his delight after securing both of these deals on the first days of the January transfer window by saying," Both Bruno (Martins Indi) and David (Ospina) are exceptional players who we got a chance to sign under the Bosman rule." The manager also said," We are also looking to strengthen other areas of the squad after Jordi Gomez and Piscu left the club earlier, so we might be seeing a midfielder joining the club." Talking about recent additions to the club, the manager gave up a list of the transfer targets he had in mind. He listed," One of the many players we are looking are Wanyama, Darida, and others." Whether the Wigan manager will look for these players remains unknown. But, we know that he has to somewhat strengthen his side for the push for a European place.

Two great signings, they will do well! :)
if indi stays injury free he can be top notch and either a huge transfer fee or a future club great. if casarini is still available i would recommend having a look.
Excellent signings, both are top quality and will help you push for Europe next season!
Brilliant signings, you are having a wonderful time at Wigan!
