tough start to the season, but it's nice to see you have picked up, pushed into the top half and began to rise into European places, great start, and some outrageously good signings, not sure on the departure of McArthur i myself think he links well with McCarthy but fair play in replacing him with Gonalons he's class!
Good month Jeremy, I knwew results could only get better. Keep it up and take Wigan to Europa League
Thank you EVERYBODY for helping me reach 1k views! Special things will be happening for Wigan (I hope :P) This has been an incredible ride for me and hopefully you. Thank you FMScout and the community for helping me reach this landmark. Thank you readers and commenters as well! Ciao!
Nice start in the season Pauker! And great signings! I signed both Gonalons and Fierro in my career: the french guy is doing great! Keep going on like this!

Muamba 'disappointed' at Kone injury
Fabrice Muamba has gave his thoughts over the recent injury of star-striker Arouna Kone. One of the thoughts that came to his mind was 'disappointed'. The Cote D'Iviore striker, who has scored 11 goals in 17 was also disappointed to be injured. The injury took place during Wigan's 3-2 win, where Kone scored the opening goal. Plus, the striker had to get stretchered off right before half-time in order to receive some treatment. The injury looks like to be a fractured arm and the striker is going to miss 3-4 of Wigan's key matches for a push for a taste of European football for next season. Both the manager and the striker have talked to the press over their feelings towards the injury. The Latics boss said," It's going to be always hard for any team to be without their goal scorer. It's like taking Messi or Ronaldo out of Barcelona and Real Madrid." Nevertheless, the Wigan manager has encouraged the other strikers to fill in Kone's place. He said," Di Santo, Fierro or Henriquez will be able to play throughout this matches. Who knows if either of these three can displace Kone's starting line-up." Before concluding his interview, the former England international said," I hope Kone get's back as strong as he is. I'm disappointed at the ref for not calling the game or the foul when he got tackled."
Meanwhile, the Ivorian striker also agreed to what his manager said. He said," All of the three players that Fabrice (Muamba) mentioned are great players and people. They can displace me right now or even next year, depending how they play." The injured player also said," I'm really gutted to be injured and this has stall the club and most importantly, me." The Wigan player talked about Wigan's European chances for next season. He did say," We are hoping for that. There is a possibility since we are currently sixth and might even make it to the Champions League." He did warn the fans about disappointing them by saying," We might not even make it to the Europa League, but if we don't, we'll probably finish a place above." Before finishing the conference, Kone said," I'd like to wish Angelo (Henriquez), Franco (Di Santo) and Carlos (Fierro) all the good luck while I'm absent."
This has prompted to many Wigan fans talking up about the chances of European football. They have said," It's all because of Muamba. You can't expect us beating teams such as Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs and so on during Muamba's next season." Another Wigan fan outside of The Brittania Stadium said," Kone will be a big miss. I hope that we will be okay with the injury." This will aid teams such as Tottenham, Chelsea and Liverpool as they are above Wigan and hoping to jump them in the league.

Really tough to lose your top striker, but Henriquez, Fierro, and Di Santo are obviously quality and can keep the goalscoring going. Nice updates so far, keep it up
Unlucky to have Koné injured but I know that you can still pull the results off somehow!
Very nice update, Short stories in between like this make the stories a whole more interesting looking forward to the next update, and il comment without being prompted next time, cos Jeremy Pauker deserves it;)
Nice update! The injury of Kone in really bad luck, but I am sure you can manage it with the other strikers..
Terrible loss in Kone, lets hope that Fierro or Henriquez can fill in his shoes. (Not even gonna talk about di Santo, eurgh) You seem to be scoring enough goals, but that leaky defense is giving you problems. Have you tried tweaking your defenders' roles and settings?
Brilliant as usual. Unlucky about the injury of Kone but you still have plenty of quality in the striking department. No doubt you're still gonna get the goals
