Did really well to get a draw against Sociedad, hopefully you'll carry it into the league, I have a soft spot from the Posh I must say
Excellent start to your story, keep it up.

Quite good results in your friendlies, if your team played like that in League 1 you'd be the 3rd division version of "The Invincibles" :P
SAF's Son?

*Must not censor*

This story can be fucking good!

Match Day Press Conference

http://i43.tinypic.com/20m3hi.png

'Do you have a clear idea in mind of your prefered first eleven for the season?'

'I would not be much of a manager if I didn't! Everything is set and ready to go.'

'The bookies are tipping you for promotion this season. What do you think of your chances?'

I would consider us promotion favourites.

'Looking at the Peterborough squad, many are suggesting that you need to strengthen in some key positions. Do you agree that spending in necessary?'

'I am happy with what I have at my disposal and, barring any departures, I can't see any new arrivals.'

'It is always nice to start with a win to get points on the board and build up some momentum. Are you confident you can get off to a good start?'

'Our preparation is complete and I know the lads will get a good result.'

'Most pundits suggest that Gabriel Zakuani's performances will be the key factor in determining whether you have a successful season or not. Is that a fair assessment?'

'Not really. Gabriel is a top player but we aren't a one-man team by any stretch of the imagination.'

'Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Wonderers will play Sheffield United, no doubt keen to show they have what it takes to be promoted. How do you rate their chances of doing that?'

'There are several teams who will be fighting for promotion and I certainly expect Wolves to be among them.'
If you keep this up then Adrian Durham may finally shut up on talkSPORT!! Please if that is not motivation then nothing is!! ;)

Lee Tomlin Back in Action!

http://i43.tinypic.com/20m3hi.png

Attacking superstar Lee Tomlin joined The Posh back in 2010 and has since become a fan favourite. Due to an unfortunate back injury, Lee has been unable to partake in pre-season preperation and has missed Peterborough's first match away to Gillingham.

Tomlin is once again match fit and raring to go.

Darren Ferguson, 'Lee is a top player and I'm pleased he has fully recovered. He will undoubtably be featured in our next match at home to Crewe Alexandra and will have immediate effect on our starting eleven.'

Davide Petrucci is also rumoured to have returned to the training ground following a groin strain. While Richard Chaplow and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing are still out.
Liking the story so far, good presentation as well :) Chaplow looks a good signing, too bad he's injured atm. Look forward to more :D
Some excellent work here Matt! The updates are quality each time and if your pre season is anything to go by the Posh could be on the way to a very good season

I won't bother with a league table screen shot. Only three games in the League and we were sitting at the top end, but the table was very, very close. Resulting in I 5/6 teams only differing in goal difference and goals scored. Bristol City were sitting top with 9 points from their 3 games. As oppose to our 7.

Player of the Month

Michael Bostwick

After putting in some classy performances. I'm starting to think he can perform at a higher standard than our captain and more experienced centre back, Gabriel Zakuani. With an average rating of 7.56 for the start of the season. I'm excited to see how the 25 year old could improve as a centre back. Instead of his favoured central midfield role.

Keep it up Bostie!
Another fantastic update. Keep this up! This could be one of the great stories on FMScout!
Great match updates. Possible SotM nomination? :P

Got to agree with Glenn. It is very well written and I like the individual match reports with a summary at the end. I may have to start doing that. Keep it up.

It has been a fantastic month for The Posh winning 6 and drawing 2 matches. Our players are looking confident and I think our run can continue.

We are currently sitting 2nd in the table behind 1 point behind Bristol City, who have a game in hand. Hopefully our lucky run will stop and ours will continue. We have been tipped for promotion favourites and I strongly believe we can do it.

Player of the Month

Richard Chaplow

http://i40.tinypic.com/2u61i4g.jpg

I signed Richard Chaplow on loan until the end of the season from Southampton and he is already impressing. As a ball winning midfielder in a defensive role, he has scored 3 goals in 7 appearences with an average rating of 7.30 at the end of September.

His 2 goals against Shrewsbury particularly impressed and I will be looking at putting a bid in for him when funds become available.
Great work on your story so far mate! The match updates are brill and you're flying in the league unbeaten. Keep going with the updates and this will defo be a SotM nominee :P
