Ivan Šantek was born April 23, 1932 in Zagreb. From the very beginning it played soccer to the 15 years he played for Prečko, and later in Zagreb. In 1957 Dinamo come in the next six seasons he played for the Blue 115 times and scored four goals. With Dinamo won the championship in 1958 and two Cup former state before he continued his career in Austria.
He was a modern midfielder with a great overview of the game, precise long diagonals, uncompromising fighter who has the most challenge emerged triumphant. For the national team played six matches and won the silver medal at the Olympics.
When he finished his playing career he remained with the football we have therefore regular profession school football coach for many years was the coach of the Zagreb Rudeš.
