Paddy: Haha thanks :)

TheGooner: Thanks bro :D

TCO: Thank you very much :)
You're sitting pretty top of the table!

Got quite unlucky in a few games, yet still came out on top in the table, Your team seems to play to their opponents level against lower opposition, may need those wins to win the title, Although I think you'll win anyhow.

Legend snubs Liverpool

Sky sources report that Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has rejected a chance to return to The Reds. John Barnes offered the legendary defender a contract as a coach at the club and personally contacted him.

According to our sources, Barnes believes its crucial to have more familiar faces within the coaching staff. Players being able to see a legend every day and being able to learn is an incredible experience, especially for the younger players at the club. Since retiring, Carragher has been unemployed as no club has come in for him.

Its still unknown why Carragher has snubbed the club he loves so much. The English defender made just short of 500 appearances for Liverpool, making 484 appearances and scoring just 4 goals. During his playing time at Liverpool, the defender won a total of 11 competitions. Champions league (2005), Euro Cup (2001), European Super Cup (2001 & 2005), English FA Cup (2001 & 2006), Capital One Cup (2001, 2003 and 2012), English Community Shield (2001 & 2006).

A possible reason for Carragher rejecting Liverpool, could be because he feels he is not ready to take a professional job as a coach, or possibly he feels he wants to see what Liverpool achieve this season. Liverpool fans will be hoping he'll be as good as a coach as he was a player for the Merseyside team.

Liverpool will certainly be hoping Carragher changes his mind at the end of the season. Reports say Barnes will offer Jamie another contract near the end of the season. By that time, Carragher should have picked up enough coaching badges to be a qualified coach. In fact its possible Carragher could work part time in the Liverpool academy in a bid to earn coaching badges.
How dare he. :O Nice update.
Great update, Jamie must like being alone after all those years.
LFC: I was shocked too, thanks!

Bourani: Lool yes he must, thanks!
Well... If you look closely at his right hand, he's actually sticking his middle finger at the KOP end. The signs have been there for a while :P
Well Done Bro

Chelsea or Liverpool?

Chelsea vs Liverpool always turns out to be an action packed fixture and that's what we're hoping to get as the two clubs will face each other in the Capital One Cup semi final for a chance to proceed into the final.

Let's take a look at both team's path to the semi-final:

Chelsea FC

Chelsea kicked off their Capital One Cup campaign in the 3rd round with a fixture against Swindon Town. The Blues seemed very comfortable as they cruised to a 4-0 victory. Victor Moses, Schurrle, Lukaku and Azpi getting the goals.

In the 4th round, Chelsea faced tougher opposition in Wolves, however they had the home advantage. The Blues played a fairly weaker side but still managed to pick up a 2-0 victory. Lukaku was once again on the score-sheet. Torres also managed to score but picked up an injury in stoppage time.

Lukaku must really love this cup as he scored a brace as Chelsea defeated Brighton 3-2 in the quarter final. This was Chelsea's most competitive match so far and Brighton nearly pulled off an upset. Moses gave Chelsea the lead, before Lukaku doubled the lead. After half time, Brighton came out refreshed. The Seagulls scored two goals to make it 2-2. Just when all the Brighton fans seem they can stun Chelsea, Romelu Lukaku scores the winner to put Chelsea into the semi final and book a fixture with Liverpool.

Liverpool FC

Liverpool on the other hand, started their Capital One Cup campaign in the 2nd round vs league 2 Torquay. The Reds weren't really tested as they cruised to a 3-0 victory thanks to a brace from Steven Gerrard and a nice goal from Iago Aspas.

Next up for Liverpool an away fixture vs Blackburn Rovers in the 3rd round. This was a memorable game for the team as it was the return of Luis Suarez following his 10 match ban. It was the Uruguayan who gave Liverpool the lead, unfortunately for Liverpool, two minutes later Blackburn equalised through Rosado. From this point onwards the match was very competitive and eventually lead to extra time. Newboy Gaitan picked up the winner to send Liverpool through to the next round.

The 4th round match for Liverpool was certainly an entertaining match. The first half ended 0-0. In the second half, both things had one thing on their mind, both wanted to win. Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard and Iago Aspas made it 3-0 to The Reds. Just when everyone thought the game was done and over, West Browm scored two goals in the space of three minutes to really alert Liverpool. Unfortunately for West Brom, they couldn't pull through to score one more. Final score, 3-2 to Liverpool.

Going into the quarter final of this cup, many would have thought Newcastle could destroy Liverpool's dreams of winning the cup. Many bookies tipped them to win the game, but Liverpool shocked many with an outstanding team performance as they thrashed Newcastle 4-0. A brace from Aspas, a goal from Gerrard and Sturridge saw Liverpool book a place in the semi-final.

Our prediction

Here at Sky Sports, we believe that Liverpool have the edge over Chelsea, due to their current momentum. Chelsea are currently 13th in the league, while Liverpool are the top of the league. We may be wrong as in football, anything could happen. So which team will face either Cardiff or Man City in the final?

For more information on this semi final, you can get it here on sky sports news.
Chelsea are 13th :O Happy Days! Where's your money now Roman?!?!
