However, David Moyes won't have faced a team at the level of FC Barcelona, in what could be his biggest game this season.
Moyes has also been linked with Barcelona youngster Thiago, currently valued at £11.25 million, so if rumours are true, David will certainly being using these two games to check him out. Reports from The Sun and Manchester Sports newspapers also linked United with left back Adriano, after the sudden departure of vice-captain Patrice Evra, before the announcement of Leighton Baines. However, Adriano has since moved on to Juventus, for £9.5 million.
Tito Vilanova and his side are currently second in the Liga BBVA, 5 points behind unbeaten Real Madrid after 16 games. FC Barcelona have lost 5 of those games though, including a 3-1 defeat, which will certainly give David Moyes hope. Barca, as they are commonly known, also make a quick exit from the Spanish cup, losing on penalties to Valladoid, a side fighting for relegation.
FC Barcelona have gone into the competition as favourites, with Manchester United in third, just behind Real Madrid, so the 13th February is a date everyone needs to have free for this!
