Fans Split On Neville
There was crazy scenes inside the War Memorial Ground after The Robins finished the month with a 1-0 defeat to Braintree. The clock stood at 93 minutes when a number of Carshalton fans broke onto the pitch and vented their frustration at manager Gary Neville. Carshalton have been on a poor run recently picking up just 1 win in their last 10 games.
After guiding his team to two successive promotions, Neville has been criticised by some of his own fans for not adapting to the Blue Square Premier League. The Team left the field to a stadium of Boo's which shows that all is not happy with the Fans. We took to the street to ask some Carshalton fans on their view.
Fan 1 : I'm sorry but nobody is bigger than the club. I have been following The Robins for the past 45 years and the last 2 were our most successful. We need to build on it, and personally I dont think Gary will keep us in the league. We need a change.
Fan 2 : I honestly am shocked that people are calling for his head, we were nowhere before him. The squad hasn't been preforming of late but sacking him? Is that really the answer. I have Faith in him to turn it around.
Fan 3 : I respect everything He has done for the club but results haven't been good enough. It's a tough one. I'm split 50/50.
