Thanks mate. He is purely back up for me. He wont last 2 seasons imo but we needed a replacement and he should do ok

I didn't think he would be your first choice left back. He is actually a pretty good back up to have...quite good from set pieces which is always good for a player to have.

Yeah he is much better than Contento but for a back up is a a great player

Pre Season Update

It is that time of year again were we have to put in 100% effort. The players have been excellent and have showed me how much they want to win the league this year. Some players scored in pre-season but then left the club as I did not like their effort or commitment.

I am happy with the results and we should be able to take positives from each game and make sure we follow them up in the new season.
Pep’s Notes: Well we have had some great results. I wanted to start with some easier fixtures just to get the fitness levels up and then start playing better teams in cups to get the competitive edge back that we need.

We had a great win over Chelsea who played a strong side similar to our squad strength and Gareth Bale got his 2nd goal in pre-season. We then headed to England for a cup hosted by Sheffield United and we got to the final were we beat PSG 5-3 in great game and young star Kevin Jansen got a goal.

Overall I am happy with the squad and I only need to bring in a striker to make sure that we have enough quality in that position.

Mario Gomez did score 6 goals but his attitude to work hard was nicht gut (as the Germans whould say) so it was time for him to leave.

Star Of Pre-Season

This award goes to my young star, Kevin Jansen. I wanted to play him in all of our games and he played very well. I don’t want to rush him into the first team scene too early but if he continues his good form them I might select him one game.

Wow. he looks good. Hopefully he can break into the first team sometime soon

Good stuff to catch up on...selling Muller is something I've seen a fair bit of and I did it too when I was at Bayern as he never played much for me. Kirchoff is a fantastic signing IMO as he develops and could easily be a 1st team starter for Bayern, I tried to buy him at Lyon but Bayern rejected £24million. That youngster looks hot property give him game time and keep him in the 1st team squad he will grow so fast

Thanks mate. He had a great season with Mainz and he should be a good player for me in the future. Kevin was recently signed for 550K from the Dutch league so he should have a big future.

Rodrigo Completes Bayern Move

Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Spanish striker Rodrigo from Benfica. The forward joins for a fee of £19M and has flown to Germany to meet up with his new team mates.

The striker joins after Mario Gomez left Bayern to join A.C Milan earlier on in the week. The Spaniard signs a 4 year deal at the Alianz and told press earlier that he is delighted to have signed for such a big club.

“I can’t believe it. It is a dream come true to join a top club like Bayern and also play under Pep Guardiola. He did a great job at Barcelona so I hope I can play a part in making Bayern have a good few years”.

“I had a great time at Benfica and I enjoyed it a lot and I also learnt a lot. I am grateful for all that they did for me and the great memories that I had there”.

Manager Pep Guardiola also spoke highly of the young star.

“He is a top player. He can become a great player one day and he gives the team something extra to the team. He had a great season last year in Portugal so hopefully he can recreate his form and have a good year with us”.

Guardiola was then asked if he was going to be signing any more players and he told media that his squad is ready.

“The team is perfect. I have a good balance of youth and experience. Some players have gone on loan and the balance of the squad is right and we are ready for the new season”.

August Update

PEP’S NOTES: A nice start to the season. I knew it would be a tough place to start the season at but we managed to get 3 points. We look a better team than last year and with Gareth Bale up the wing we should be fine. Kross dominated the game and he has a big role this season after the departure of Muller. I may bring in an older AMC just to balance the squad as I feel Will Hughes is better as a CM. We managed to round off the win when Radja chipped the keeper from 30 yards out after he was off his line. We deserve the win but we know we must keep it up to make sure we can be winners this year.

Bochum Home

PEP’S NOTES: We continued our good start with an impressive 4-0 win. A good team performance by all and we dominated the whole game with 62% possession and we also had 20 shots. Kross started off the game with a neat finish from the edge of the box and for the rest of the game he tore Bochum apart. Robben then converted a penalty and this was followed by superb solo effort by Frank Ribery. We had won the game but we continued to dominate and Wilfred Bony sealed the win with a powerful header from a Alaba cross.

League Table

Well we have 6 points out of 6 and that is a great start. We know Dortmund have a game in hand but they have not made very good signings so hopefully they will drop points sooner or later.

Walldorf Away

PEP’S NOTES: A really nice win to start the cup run. I hope to win this competition so I am hoping for some lucky ties to see me to the final. 5-1 is a great result and Shaqiri got a nice treble. Unfortunately we conceded a goal but I am not too fussed about it. It was still a pre-season game for us really but it was nice to get that competitive edge back.

Player Of The Month

Toni has had a great start to the season. He has scored 2 goals in 3 games and that is an impressive stat for an attacking midfielder. He has run rings around teams and is forming a good partnership with Gareth Bale and he is getting into good positions to receive his crosses.
