Does it work for Mac?
No, and it won't be possible to make it work this time even if you try using Winebottler or similar. GS13 has been rewritten to work by reading data from memory instead of savegame files because of the lock down of savegames in FM13 by Sports Interactive.
However, we exclusively release a special scouting tool for Mac. You should use that.

How to run:
- Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.
- Follow instructions until installation is finished.
- Run Football Manager 2013 and load your savegame.
- Launch Genie Scout 13 and from main menu click "Load Game".

Donate to get the "g" edition
Genie Scout 13 comes in two editions. One with ads and one with no ads (we will refer to it as the "g" edition). In order to get the "no ads" one you'll have to donate to Eugene first, using the Donate to Eugene page.DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION :
Eugene has automatized the process of distribution for the "g" edition, so people will only have to wait a few minutes before they will get a download link and key this year. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID along with the donation.
Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
If Eugene doesn't have his laptop open at the time of donation, it might take up to 24 hours or longer (until he opens it). In case of problem with your donation, please contact Eugene using the email address you'll see in the message after donation.
Apart from no ads, the "g" edition has 4 extra features:

A statistically based model that will show the probability of reaching theoretical maximum of players ability - Progress Rate :
Shows the predicted speed of player's development, depending on his ambition, determination, professionalism etc - Support for Graphics :
If you have custom facepacks and/or kitpacks added to your FM, it should show on player and team profiles on GS - Top Players Lists :
Automatically generated lists for best players, most promising and top bargains in the world, by position
Please note that during the first run of "g" edition it may take a few minutes to create the graphic packs cache. Next time it will be loaded much faster.
IMPORTANT :
FM Scout (the site) is not involved in the donations towards Eugene, neither has any responsibility delivering the ad-free version to you after donation. This is a process handled solely by Eugene himself.

This is a beta release, so there will probably be some bugs we couldn't find while beta testing the scout.Please find the corresponding version specific topic on our Genie Scout forum and post there! Read this before submitting any bugs!

EXPORTING DATA :
Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc... the rest information belong to SI and SEGA.

@guiaugusto1: It should work for Windows XP. What is the exact error you're getting? Can you take a screenshot?
By the way, to find out which version you have, just go to Preferences screen in-game and you should see the version somewhere at the top.
On a side note, I'm guessing you've used your email as username by accident. So if you want to change it, just let me know.

i cant found any patches that should be downloaded
i have a steam account i bought the game in the shop
but i cant use the patches and so i cant use fmscout
do you know what i can do?
@rifflet: There's a lot more to GS than just sale value for players. Anyway, I can't really say when this will work for GS13. It would take a special algorithm to calculate it, because otherwise there's no way to read it from memory (so far at least).
@gonza88: You can't really miss the big red "Download Now" button to the top right side of this page.
@brunotrink: Unique ID is unique per computer and OS installation. So if you acquired a key for another computer or you re-installed Windows, you will need a new key. You should contact Eugene about it, if you have a key in your email it means you have his email address.
@fm2013nerd: There's no *buying Genie Scout*. You can choose to support the development of the tool by donating to Eugene (GS author), and in return he rewards you with the special "g" edition. To find your Unique ID, read the box explaining that on the Donate to Eugene page (right column).
@love_animals @NordiCio: The 344 update was actually a typo in the update file, which has been solved since then. Are you still having trouble?
@shawn_strat: No it doesn't work with the Demo, only with the latest 13.1.3 version.
@Wintermute: Sorry, GS13 won't work for pirate copies.
@Eromlig @piovra: There's no such thing in GS13 because the tool now works real-time. You can no longer load savegames as files, but only load currently active FM13 game.
Do you think it ll be possible to add this soon?

first time buying this program..
First of all, I am not developer of fm scout, just fm fan and playing for 13 years. Here is the solution that I found by myself and it worked for me (actually trick is located in error message :)):
1. First of all, you MUST install game, begin a game and save this game.
2. Open the game and load your saved file. Home screen will be shown.
3. Press windows key (it is generally located at the bottom of keyboard and second key from left) and you will see your desktop.
4. Now open FM Genie Scout 13 and press load game icon or you can select from the menu which is located at the top left of the window.
5. That's it!
I tried this way and worked for me as legal steam FM 2013 and Windows 7 64-bit OS. If anybody try this way and it works for him/her, please inform community.
