Does it work for Mac?
No, and it won't be possible to make it work this time even if you try using Winebottler or similar. GS13 has been rewritten to work by reading data from memory instead of savegame files because of the lock down of savegames in FM13 by Sports Interactive.
However, we exclusively release a special scouting tool for Mac. You should use that.

How to run:
- Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.
- Follow instructions until installation is finished.
- Run Football Manager 2013 and load your savegame.
- Launch Genie Scout 13 and from main menu click "Load Game".

Donate to get the "g" edition
Genie Scout 13 comes in two editions. One with ads and one with no ads (we will refer to it as the "g" edition). In order to get the "no ads" one you'll have to donate to Eugene first, using the Donate to Eugene page.DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION :
Eugene has automatized the process of distribution for the "g" edition, so people will only have to wait a few minutes before they will get a download link and key this year. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID along with the donation.
Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
If Eugene doesn't have his laptop open at the time of donation, it might take up to 24 hours or longer (until he opens it). In case of problem with your donation, please contact Eugene using the email address you'll see in the message after donation.
Apart from no ads, the "g" edition has 4 extra features:

A statistically based model that will show the probability of reaching theoretical maximum of players ability - Progress Rate :
Shows the predicted speed of player's development, depending on his ambition, determination, professionalism etc - Support for Graphics :
If you have custom facepacks and/or kitpacks added to your FM, it should show on player and team profiles on GS - Top Players Lists :
Automatically generated lists for best players, most promising and top bargains in the world, by position
Please note that during the first run of "g" edition it may take a few minutes to create the graphic packs cache. Next time it will be loaded much faster.
IMPORTANT :
FM Scout (the site) is not involved in the donations towards Eugene, neither has any responsibility delivering the ad-free version to you after donation. This is a process handled solely by Eugene himself.

This is a beta release, so there will probably be some bugs we couldn't find while beta testing the scout.Please find the corresponding version specific topic on our Genie Scout forum and post there! Read this before submitting any bugs!

EXPORTING DATA :
Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc... the rest information belong to SI and SEGA.

Ok, so I just clicked on "Download now", opened up Winzip, and double clicked on the file. A message came up saying, "This file has a potentially unsafe file type of .EXE...You should not open this file if you received it from an untrusted source...Do you still want to open this file?
" Then the only options are "Yes" and "No". There isn't anything for custom or recommended. What do people suggest I do? Haha I don't want to have to deal with the whole DeltaSearch thing or other Malware. Thanks in advance!
Fair enough theyve been quite sneaky and switched around the wording so alot of people accidently download it but still you gotta read carefully these days when installing anything.
It asks whether you want to install the recommended setup or custom. Theyve switched it around and you need to select custom and untick all the deltasearch rubbish.
Sneaky....very sneaky.....but not naughty as its your own choice.
@kaney1983: Yes, just check for an update from Genie Scout drop down menu.
@hs121094: To be honest I don't think he'll be able to get 100% accurate sale values by himself. It would take either someone who's an expert in reverse engineering and has PLENTY of free time to dig into the game's coding, or get inside help from someone at Sports Interactive who knows the algorithm. And of course the last case scenario is not going to happen.
@onur178: It was a typo in the 'update check' file. Please try again.
@EFC4everton: Do you have someone in particular in mind? Because we already have an elite team of authors for FM tools and they're still unable to solve the sale value issue. Perhaps the transfer listed players issue is a bug that could be fixed, but otherwise check my reply to hs121094 few lines above. I believe I've explained the situation enough times.

I appreciate the response. Surely if Eugene has not managed to get the Sale Values by now it is looking very bleak that he will? How far is he from getting accurate sale values?

@hs121094 @leestevenson1988: Calculating sale values this year has been made impossible and Eugene has tried to accomplish that by integrating an algorithm of his own based on FM12 data. It's stated that it's far from perfect and he'll continue to improve it the best he can. So if he hasn't improved that part significantly yet it means it's really really hard.
@howej004: I don't really know as I'm not involved in the donations at all, but I'm guessing that's a 'no'. To be sure, make sure to ask Eugene himself.

The name is correct, but clubs, country, position are wrong, and player stats are wrong too.
