Does it work for Mac?
No, and it won't be possible to make it work this time even if you try using Winebottler or similar. GS13 has been rewritten to work by reading data from memory instead of savegame files because of the lock down of savegames in FM13 by Sports Interactive.
However, we exclusively release a special scouting tool for Mac. You should use that.

How to run:
- Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.
- Follow instructions until installation is finished.
- Run Football Manager 2013 and load your savegame.
- Launch Genie Scout 13 and from main menu click "Load Game".

Donate to get the "g" edition
Genie Scout 13 comes in two editions. One with ads and one with no ads (we will refer to it as the "g" edition). In order to get the "no ads" one you'll have to donate to Eugene first, using the Donate to Eugene page.DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION :
Eugene has automatized the process of distribution for the "g" edition, so people will only have to wait a few minutes before they will get a download link and key this year. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID along with the donation.
Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
If Eugene doesn't have his laptop open at the time of donation, it might take up to 24 hours or longer (until he opens it). In case of problem with your donation, please contact Eugene using the email address you'll see in the message after donation.
Apart from no ads, the "g" edition has 4 extra features:

A statistically based model that will show the probability of reaching theoretical maximum of players ability - Progress Rate :
Shows the predicted speed of player's development, depending on his ambition, determination, professionalism etc - Support for Graphics :
If you have custom facepacks and/or kitpacks added to your FM, it should show on player and team profiles on GS - Top Players Lists :
Automatically generated lists for best players, most promising and top bargains in the world, by position
Please note that during the first run of "g" edition it may take a few minutes to create the graphic packs cache. Next time it will be loaded much faster.
IMPORTANT :
FM Scout (the site) is not involved in the donations towards Eugene, neither has any responsibility delivering the ad-free version to you after donation. This is a process handled solely by Eugene himself.

This is a beta release, so there will probably be some bugs we couldn't find while beta testing the scout.Please find the corresponding version specific topic on our Genie Scout forum and post there! Read this before submitting any bugs!

EXPORTING DATA :
Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc... the rest information belong to SI and SEGA.

But here is a question as well
Does the pot.ability change through the years? Cause for some reason now that i am on 2020 there hasen't been a freaking new comer player with p.ab. over 180!!! Not even one!!! The last "talent" that i found was generated in 2015 and now is 21 y.o. with potential 186 (in the genie)! I am using high database with 2 playable leagues and 14 non-playable!
All in all i am very disapointed by the new players generated by the game this year!!!
- Just try it a few times
- Leave the game for a minute or two and try again
- Save the game and try again
- If none of that works I save the game and reload it, then try again. Only had to do this once.
(I honestly have no idea why doing this stuff works)
I know its a little inconvenient, but waiting it out works for me. No need to unistall.

You can fix this problem. Just U open game before u load the game.try this

I checked that FM doesn't save my game compressed. What can I do?
Was wondering what the latest on the Sale Values is? Have tried contacting Eugene and Fm Scout multiple times. No replies. Just feel that loyal customers/downloaders should know what the latest developments are.

I am sure, the problem persists and I have tried to run it with administrator rights. Any help, anyone? Restarting, reloading and reinstalling does not help.
@clifton14: Access violation error was supposedly fixed in the latest beta. Do you have the latest one (beta 11)?
What can i do?
SOLVED: Just don't install GS in program files dir, because it wants to save a file and is not allowed, screwing everything up. Installing it in C: for instance works fine.
@matt1888: Genie Scout is a scout utility, NOT an editor. Never was, never will be.
@slasher: I recommend 7-zip.
