Does it work for Mac?
No, and it won't be possible to make it work this time even if you try using Winebottler or similar. GS13 has been rewritten to work by reading data from memory instead of savegame files because of the lock down of savegames in FM13 by Sports Interactive.
However, we exclusively release a special scouting tool for Mac. You should use that.

How to run:
- Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.
- Follow instructions until installation is finished.
- Run Football Manager 2013 and load your savegame.
- Launch Genie Scout 13 and from main menu click "Load Game".

Donate to get the "g" edition
Genie Scout 13 comes in two editions. One with ads and one with no ads (we will refer to it as the "g" edition). In order to get the "no ads" one you'll have to donate to Eugene first, using the Donate to Eugene page.DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION :
Eugene has automatized the process of distribution for the "g" edition, so people will only have to wait a few minutes before they will get a download link and key this year. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID along with the donation.
Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
If Eugene doesn't have his laptop open at the time of donation, it might take up to 24 hours or longer (until he opens it). In case of problem with your donation, please contact Eugene using the email address you'll see in the message after donation.
Apart from no ads, the "g" edition has 4 extra features:

A statistically based model that will show the probability of reaching theoretical maximum of players ability - Progress Rate :
Shows the predicted speed of player's development, depending on his ambition, determination, professionalism etc - Support for Graphics :
If you have custom facepacks and/or kitpacks added to your FM, it should show on player and team profiles on GS - Top Players Lists :
Automatically generated lists for best players, most promising and top bargains in the world, by position
Please note that during the first run of "g" edition it may take a few minutes to create the graphic packs cache. Next time it will be loaded much faster.
IMPORTANT :
FM Scout (the site) is not involved in the donations towards Eugene, neither has any responsibility delivering the ad-free version to you after donation. This is a process handled solely by Eugene himself.

This is a beta release, so there will probably be some bugs we couldn't find while beta testing the scout.Please find the corresponding version specific topic on our Genie Scout forum and post there! Read this before submitting any bugs!

EXPORTING DATA :
Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc... the rest information belong to SI and SEGA.

Genie Scout and new FM patches:
When a new patch is released, GS won't work for you. But we have given you no ground to complain about that since we've been releasing updated GS versions within a day or two since any patch comes out. You don't need to comment about it, we are very much aware of new patches and take action accordingly. New beta 11 has been already made available and is compatible with the 13.2.2 patch.
@RBarata85: I honestly don't know as I haven't had time to play FM13. Try it and let us know if it works.
@beeje13: By default, yes it does.
@adamadler313: GS13 works with all FM13 versions mentioned above (13.1.2 to 13.2.2). If you have an older version, it won't work.

Sale Value:
It currently gives an approximate value that the club will accept for the player. It's not 100% accurate, but Eugene will keep tweaking his algorithm until it's 100% correct (or close enough at least).
@ZenDa: No, it's not possible because Sports Interactive have made it impossible in FM13 (encryption issues). Our only choice to keep GS alive was to convert it to work by reading data from memory.
@mattias333: Try the new beta which was released today and see if it works better for you (it should). About the 2nd problem, I'll speak with Eugene about it (even though you should report all issues in GS forums and not here).
@orisantari: I don't know how or why someone would make the connection that Genie Scout wouldn't work with the digital version of FM13. There's no difference between digital and DVD, both run via Steam and is exactly the same thing. GS13 works with all FM13 versions mentioned above (13.1.2 to 13.2.2). What is the process you follow to load your game in GS?

I think I'll start playing offline all the time now, so Football Manager doesn't update automatically. Then I can use Genie whenever I want!!

on fm 2012 i used to ask for the save game and upload it on genie, since genie 13 works form the memorie there isn't any way we can use it in this conditions now?

Steam automatically updates to the newest version anyway?
a very nice job with this tool. I like it. But i'm a free user not a payer user, and for this i'm sorry, but some day i'll be pay for this tool.
Couple days ago i had a error message like @fmstar, but today when i open the tool this error gone.
But i found another interesting thing. In my genie scout 2013 appears sale value. That is fantastic. And i log in the game and i try to buy few young player after genie scout.
At the first look i saw , a lot a young players has a very cheap sale value.
I try't to buy a few player at that value and they own cluj reject my offer.
And i made another experiment, i try it to buy a real player with big value, in this case it was Koval from Kiev. I try it before to buy it and his club ask me a 24 mil euro.
In genie scout 13 Koval appear with a sale value at 12 mil euro. It is a difference between game and genie ?
Their value are correct ?

I cant say anything in regards to peoples complaints about Sale value being way off as im playing as Havant & Waterlooville so I dont have any funds to spend.
My concern is in regards to it not loading.
The version of Genie Scout I had before the update only a few days ago worked fine and always loaded. Since updating Genie scout it nearly never loads up. Always says make sure ive loaded FM13 up etc....
Ive tried the different techniques people have mentioned like opening GS, then FM13 and then trying to load the save on GS. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it does not and its driving me mad.
2nd problem ive not seen anyone else mention is when search for free agent STAFF it does not list there staff roles. Everyone from chairmen to first team coaches are the same and you cant tell them apart.
Any help stam or the guys can provide is much appreciated.
