Villas-Boas: We're the most feared team in Europe!
Thumbs up: Villas-Boas has won 8 trophies in 4 years at Spurs.
André Villas-Boas claims that his team are the most feared team in Europe after Tottenham completed the European Treble this season, winning the Barclay's Premier League, the FA Cup and the most prestigious European trophy - the Champions League.
Speaking exclusively to BBC Sport, the Spurs boss expressed his delight on securing the first ever Champions League cup in Tottenham's history, and their first European cup since they won the UEFA Cup in 1984, which was won by manager Keith Burkinshaw.
"
To be able to bring Spurs fans trophies is an honour. To be able to bring them the biggest trophy of them all is even better."
"
Tottenham Hotspur is such a great club and what we have achieved here is truly incredible. I'm delighted for the fans and I'm sure they'll savior this for years to come."
Villas-Boas went on to add "
I think we're currently the best and most feared team in Europe - if not the world. We beat FC Barcelona - the only team to ever defend the Champions League. We have shown that if you want to be the best, then anything is possible."
"
However, we must not get carried away now. Next season will be a fresh start - a new year, and we must not expect for it to be easy. It will be even tougher than before, but I have every confidence in my teams abilities to lift those trophies again come the end of next season."

Villas-Boas has now won 8 trophies for Spurs in the 4 seasons that he has been at the club, which include The Capital One Cup (2015), The FA Cup (2015, 2017), The FA Community Shield (2015, 2016), The Barclay's Premier League (2016, 2017) and The Champions League (2017).
André, however, is not taking all the credit. "
I couldn't have done this without all the players here at the club. This year, we have had some great moments and we have all stuck together and the players have dug deep when needed."
Captain Fantastic(s): Sandro (right) and Vlad Chiriche? (left) were singled out by Villas-Boas
He praised both Sandro and Vlad Chiriche? in particular, stating "
I'm especially proud of Sandro and Vlad [Chiriche?], who have really stepped up as Captain and Vice Captain. I asked Sandro to captain the side at the beginning of the season - something which he has done before - but not often and in his first season as captain he has helped lead this club to three amazing trophies. Vlad of course has experience as he captained both Romania and Steaua Bucharest. Both can be very proud of themselves."
