Dembélé set for Milan Move

Dembélé joined Spurs in 2012 from Fulham

Mousa Dembélé is set to end his Tottenham nightmare by completing a move to Serie A Champions, A.C Milan, the Mirror can reveal.

The Belgian midfielder joined Spurs in 2012 from English side Fulham for a fee of £15m but hasn't lived up to the billing.

Due to injuries, Dembélé managed to make just 30 appearances in all competitions during his last season at Spurs, scoring twice and grabbing four assists.

Helping hand: Bayern are set to allow Højbjerg to go on loan to Spurs

Spurs are now set to turn their attentions to Bayern Munich Frenchman, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg. The 22 year old is available for loan, with Spurs hoping to win the race to his signature to fill up the gap left by Dembélé.

His last stint was a loan to Dutch side PSV, where he made 26 appearances, scoring 7 goals and grabbing 7 assists. The midfielder helped guide the side to 2nd in the league, while also helping them win the KNVB Beker.
Really like Dembele, it's sad to see him leave the Premier League, however I hope he does well at Milan!

AVB: We have money to spend!

Villas-Boas has seen several big players leave so far.

André Villas-Boas has played down talk that Spurs are not going to sign anyone this summer, by stating that they do indeed have money to spend.

The Tottenham boss has so far seen the likes of Vertonghen, Capoue and Dembélé leave White Hart Lane so far, with other players set to be axed too.

However, the head coach has moved quickly to calm down the situation, with fans becoming uneasy with the lack of spending, stating...

"I understand the worry [of the fans]. We have not spent much but they shouldn't worry. We're working on a couple of deals, which we hope can be finalized in the near future. I would not sell a player and then not strengthen, it would do no good for anyone - The club, the fans or me."

Levy has been the Tottenham Chairman since in 2001 and has since seen them become a European Powerhouse

"Daniel [Levy] has given me the required funds to strengthen. We have more than enough money. Does this mean that there won't be anymore outgoings? No. We are still looking at selling one or two more players. He [Levy] has every confidence in my ability when dealing with the transfers, something which I am greatly appreciative of. We are looking at bringing in some players, I cannot name any names, but I think they [the Tottenham fans] will be excited."

Over the past few weeks, speculation has grown over Carlo Ancelotti's future, with Villas-Boas being one of those linked with the job. However, the Tottenham boss claims that he has not been contacted by anyone about the job.

"Real Madrid? No. I have not had any contact with them and nor would I want any. No disrespect to them as they are one of the biggest clubs in Europe, but I have always said I will see out my contract here at Tottenham before moving on."

Villas-Boas' contract runs out in June of 2019.
Nice update!
Might sound weird but ever since Ive started reading your story, I have begun to follow the Spurs as well :P
Nice updates, good decision to sell Dembele imo. Now get Rodrigo Gomez, Gaston Gil Romero and Angel Correa in and you'll be good to go :P

Atlético Madrid to sign wonderkid Vietto

Vietto (above center) is set for a permanent move to Spain

Luciano Vietto's Tottenham career looks finally set to come to an end after Tottenham Hotspur agreed to sell the 23 year old to Atlético Madrid for £20m.

The Argentinian has played just 19 times for Spurs in 5 years after his £5.5m move from Argentinian side, Racing Club. He managed to score 3 goals and grab 5 assists.

Vietto's time at Tottenham has mainly seen him sent out on various loan spells. He made a late loan move to German side Freiburg in January 2014, making 9 appearances, scoring 3 times and getting 2 assists.

His next move again saw him in Germany when he moved to Wolfsburg. During his time at the Volkswagen Arena he made 33 appearances, scoring 13 times and getting a single assist.

It wasn't until his move to Benfica last year that he really started to show his potential. The Argentinian made 35 appearances, netting 18 times and getting 2 assists. During his time there, he helped Benfica lift the Portugese title, as well as the Taca de Portugal.
Hojbjerg is a very talented lad, hope you can snap him up!
Josh I would've kept him but he was getting old (29) and I don't want anyone that's in their 30s apart from goalkeepers, and maybe the odd player (Martinez) so he had to go!

AS4 Thank you and woo, although if you want to save yourself from future heartattacks I would stop while you still can!

Alex I only know of Romero and I can tell you he's not on my list of targets :P . I checked out the other two but neither have progressed that well

Neal Me too, he looks like a great DLP

Carlos signs for Spurs.

The Club is delighted to announce the signing of Brazilian central defender, Antonio Carlos for an undisclosed fee from Corinthians.

The 24 central defender has put pen to paper on a contract that will see him remain at Spurs until 2022.

Carlos started out his career at Fluminese aged 16 before moving to Corinthians, where he spent the next 5 years of his career, making just 7 appearances.

He then moved to Ukrainian side, Metalist in 2014, for a fee of £2.1m where he made 52 appearances over two years before moving back to Corinthians in a deal worth £9.75m

Before his move to Spurs, Carlos made 105 appearances for Corinthians in his second stint, which saw him remain at the club for two years, scoring 6 goals and getting 7 assists. He helped lead Corinthians to the Campeonato Paulista Séria A1 cup.

Got yourself a good player there Nick! :)

Grenier in shock Milan switch

Clément Grenier joined Spurs in 2014

Tottenham midfielder, Clément Grenier is set for a shock switch to A.C Milan worth £28.5m, where he will be joining former teammates Moussa Dembélé and Alvaro Morata, Sky can reveal.

The Frenchman joined Spurs 4 years ago after snubbing interest from French side, A.S Monaco for £18.25m. The Spurs bosses held high hopes that he would be able to replace Luka Modric - something which Spurs have sorely missed since his switch to the Santiago Bernabeu 6 years ago.

Interest in the Grenier was high, with A.C Milan and Dortmund battling it out for the French international. However, Sky can also report that Manchester United had planned to hijack the Frenchman, with sources within Tottenham Hotspur confirming that Tottenham did indeed accept a bid thought to be around £38m from the English side.

During his three year spell at Spurs, Grenier made a total of 134 appearances in Tottenham colours in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and grabbing 20 assists.

Pierre Højbjerg (right) has joined Tottenham on a 6 month loan.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur have recently announced the signing of Pierre Højbjerg on loan from Bayern Munich.

The loan will include a clause which will allow Spurs to purchase the midfielder for a fee thought to be around £14m at any time throughout the loan spell.
Højbjerg is a lovely signing, and £14m (should you use the buy option), being only half of what you gained by selling Grenier, is a steal! Could we perhaps see a screenshot of this Carlos fella?
Some great transfer dealings - a shame that he didn't choose United.
Josh I'm hoping he'll be good. He's only going to be a back-up for the most part, but he's still young enough to force himself into the first team! He averaged 7.49 and 7.51 in his two seasons at Corinthians

Neal In the few friendlies that he's played he's looked really good, so I hope I can get him permanently. And sure, check the update about him :)

Adam I know, ugh! He was complaining to be before about not accepting their bid, then when I do he chose Milan! :@

Ancelotti: I can't force them to stay.

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that he cannot force Madrid's star players to stay.

Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that he is powerless to stop Madrid's superstars from walking out of the club.

The Italian saw his side slump to a 2-2 draw to rivals Atlético Madrid after going 2-0 on the final day of the season and says his side didn't deserve Champions League football if you were to judge them on their performance over the season

"We started off slow this year. You can't do that - not in this league. You can't keep throwing away three points. Too many times we thought we were comfortable winners and took our foot off the gas, only to turn those three points into one - or sometimes even none."

"Do I want them [the players] to leave? Of course not, but they want Champions League Football, something which we cannot offer them this season. In Modern football, if players can't have it right away then they will seek it elsewhere. They're not patient and they're not willing to wait, but that is football. If they want to leave then who am I to stop them?"

Bale (left) and Ronaldo (right) are both unhappy and are set to consider their options

The likes of Gareth Bale, Robert Lewandoski, Cristiano Ronaldo and Isco are just some of the big names who could leave the Santiago Bernabéu in the summer. The loss of several major stars will be a major blow for a club the size of Madrid.
