Villas-Boas: We're the most feared team in Europe!
Thumbs up: Villas-Boas has won 8 trophies in 4 years at Spurs.
André Villas-Boas claims that his team are the most feared team in Europe after Tottenham completed the European Treble this season, winning the Barclay's Premier League, the FA Cup and the most prestigious European trophy - the Champions League.
Speaking exclusively to BBC Sport, the Spurs boss expressed his delight on securing the first ever Champions League cup in Tottenham's history, and their first European cup since they won the UEFA Cup in 1984, which was won by manager Keith Burkinshaw.
"To be able to bring Spurs fans trophies is an honour. To be able to bring them the biggest trophy of them all is even better."
"Tottenham Hotspur is such a great club and what we have achieved here is truly incredible. I'm delighted for the fans and I'm sure they'll savior this for years to come."
Villas-Boas went on to add "I think we're currently the best and most feared team in Europe - if not the world. We beat FC Barcelona - the only team to ever defend the Champions League. We have shown that if you want to be the best, then anything is possible."
"However, we must not get carried away now. Next season will be a fresh start - a new year, and we must not expect for it to be easy. It will be even tougher than before, but I have every confidence in my teams abilities to lift those trophies again come the end of next season."
Villas-Boas (Above) has now won his second European trophy at the age of 39
Villas-Boas has now won 8 trophies for Spurs in the 4 seasons that he has been at the club, which include The Capital One Cup (2015), The FA Cup (2015, 2017), The FA Community Shield (2015, 2016), The Barclay's Premier League (2016, 2017) and The Champions League (2017).
André, however, is not taking all the credit. "I couldn't have done this without all the players here at the club. This year, we have had some great moments and we have all stuck together and the players have dug deep when needed."
Captain Fantastic(s): Sandro (right) and Vlad Chiriche? (left) were singled out by Villas-Boas
He praised both Sandro and Vlad Chiriche? in particular, stating "I'm especially proud of Sandro and Vlad [Chiriche?], who have really stepped up as Captain and Vice Captain. I asked Sandro to captain the side at the beginning of the season - something which he has done before - but not often and in his first season as captain he has helped lead this club to three amazing trophies. Vlad of course has experience as he captained both Romania and Steaua Bucharest. Both can be very proud of themselves."
Jonte It most certainly was!
TAT Thank you

Unrest at Mardrid?
Carlo out? Madrid fans are unhappy with the Italian after Real's poor season.
Real Madrid have silenced rumours that there was a changing room bust up after Real Madrid's 2-2 draw to Atlético Madrid on the final day of the season.
After the final whistle had blown to signify the match - which saw Real Madrid draw 2-2 to rivals, Atlético Madrid on the final day of the season - it was clear to see the pain etched on the Madrid's players faces as they walked on the pitch after the realization that their club would not be playing Champions League Football.
Crumble: Madrid blew a 2-0 lead against rivals Atlético Madrid.
Madrid finished the season in 5th - just a single point behind Villarreal, who had beaten them to 4th. Had Madrid achieved qualification, it would have been the their 20th consecutive year in doing so. Now, instead, the likes of Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lewandoski would find themselves playing in the Europa League.
However, Marca can confirm that several big star players are set to leave the Santiago Bernabéu. The likes of Lewandoski and Marcelo have already confirmed that they are looking for a move away, while Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo are also said to be considering their options.
Ciao? Carlo could be gone before the new season starts
Another who could be set for the exit is Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti. The Real Madrid board are considering the Italian's position after a poor season, which saw them lose points to the likes of Athletic Bilbao, Malaga and Osasuna.
Tottenham Hotspur Duo set for exit.
Vertonghen (left) and Capoue (Right) are entering the final years of their contract.
Jan Vertonghen and Etienne Capoue are on the verge of completing their moves away from Tottenham Hotspur. Both are entering the final year of their contracts, and AVB doesn't feel they are deserving of a new one.
Vertonghen - who has turned 30 - recently discussed his annoyance about being transfer listed by Villas-Boas back in January. Despite some very impressive performances, it is believed that the Portuguese boss isn't prepared to offer the 30 year old a new bumper contract, instead wanting to turn to youth.
Mancini (above) was recently sacked by Liverpool after a poor season.
The Belgian looks set to complete an £8m move to Liverpool, who recently sacked former Manchester City and Galatasary boss, Roberto Mancini after the reds finished the season in 11th place.
Etienne Capoue is also set for the Spurs exit, with a move to Newcastle the most likely destination. Despite being in the last year of his contract, Newcastle are prepared to meet Tottenham's price of £15m in order to bring the defensive midfielder to Tyneside.
Capoue has found it hard to nail down a starting spot since his move from Toulouse 4 years ago, often finding himself behind the ever present Sandro. During his time at Spurs, he made 131 appearances, scoring 3 goals and getting 2 assists.
Liverpool! Why did you make a good decision?
Just kidding.
Just kidding.
Neal I know it's amazing. They're losing all their good players and I for one couldn't be happier!
510 Lool. I would've sold him elsewhere but no-one else was interested in him!

Onazi set for Spurs switch
Ogenyi Onazi fell out of favour with Bayern Boss Pep Guardiola
Tottenham Hotspur look set to complete the signing of Nigerian midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi from Bayern Munich, for a cut fee of £4.7m, the Metro can confirm
The Nigerian arrived at the Allianz Arena in 2014 for a fee of £10.75m from Italian side Lazio, but has failed to break into the first team, making just 35 league appearances in 3 seasons.
Tottenham boss Villas-Boas was keen to bring the 24 year old to the Premier League in order to strengthen up his defensive midfield position after letting Etienne Capoue complete a £15m move to Newcastle.
Excellent signing for such a low price!

Blow for Spurs as Duo snubs moves
Seething: Villas-Boas has lost the race for Goretzka and Kova?i?
Villas-Boas was handed a major blow on Tuesday night after it was revealed his top two targets have snubbed Spurs' advances.
Tottenham were keeping an eye of midfield duo Mateo Kova?i? and Leon Goretzka in hopes of bringing them to Spurs. The pair had apparently held meetings with Tottenham, with both confirming their interest in joining the North London club.
Kova?i?, who was seem as a long term replacement for A.C Milan Target, Moussa Dembélé, decided against joining Spurs from Dortmund, and has since moved to Tottenham title rivals, Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Goretzka, 22, has since gone on to sign a new contract with Schalke. The German born midfielder expressed his delight about staying with the German club.
Nathan He's pretty average, but in terms of a back-up I think he'll be fine. He's still relatively young at 24 and is on low wages too (33k p/w)
Josh Thank you - I was quite surprised that Bayern let him go for so cheap tbh, especially considering they paid £10m for him.
