Serie A Table

Juventus’ Player of the Month

Luciano Vietto

Vietto returned back to the scoresheet with a hat-trick in the Turin derby versus Torino. It was hard not to pick him.

Conte’s Verdict

It was a shorter but better month for us. We end the season with a draw against Catania but on a more positive tone, we come out on top against AC Milan as well as battering our rivals Torino. A solid way to end the season.
Corngratulations to the title!

TEVEZ SKIPS PARADE

Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has sparked fresh rumours of a departure after failing to turn up to the Serie A champions' trophy parade.

His absence as Juve showed off their third Serie A title in a row in the streets of Turin could suggest the 29 year old is braced for a move after falling out of favour.

Tevez struggled find the net at the start of the season and soon found his spot on the bench despite beginning to pick up some form.

Juventus manager Antonio Conte refused to comment on Tevez’s absence but rumours suggest the former Manchester City striker may be upset at the lack of game time he received towards the season’s conclusion.

The Argentinian is no stranger to controversy, having had personal run-ins with Sir Alex Ferguson and Roberto Mancini in the past.

In the 32 games Tevez has featured in, none of them came in the final two months of the season, scoring just 8 goals in all competitions.
Was tevez that bad, or wasn't he given proper game time?
Congrats on winning the title!
With some good signings, hopefully next year you will be successful in the Champions League :)

fmmalta - He was disappointing but he did get better. I played him quite a lot too but just lost patience.

VIETTO’S WORLD CUP HEARTACHE

Juventus striker Luciano Vietto will miss the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil after Argentina boss Alejandro Sabella overlooked him in the 23 man squad.

Vietto was expected to make the Argentina squad after emerging as one of Juventus’ key players en route to Serie A success.

The 20 year old scored quickly became a first team player for Juventus, scoring 27 goals in 33 games but despite topping the Serie A goalscorer’s list, Vietto wasn’t in Sabella’s plans.

Conte has expressed his shock at the exclusion of Vietto, with his only caps coming and Under 20 level.

“It’s difficult to understand why Vietto isn’t on the plane to Brazil but one must think it is a tactical choice from Sabella as opposed to a fault on Vietto’s play.

“Vietto has been excellent this season and what he’s done at a young age is worthy of being called up for any nation in the world.”

Conte has also shared a few words of wisdom for Vietto, stressing that the opportunities to represent his national team will soon come.

“Vietto is still very young, it’s important to remember that. With time, I believe he’ll not only establish himself as one of the best Argentinian strikers, but also as one of the best in the world.

“He has incredible potential as we’ve seen so I’m sure the opportunities for him will soon come along in the future.”

One man that will be on his way to Brazil is Juventus misfit, Carlos Tevez. However, Conte has refused to comment once again on the situation surrounding the 30 year old.
Argentina know shit!!!! Shame he missed out nice update though

Fmmalta - Yeah I'd definitely recommend him for most top teams. He cost £6m.
