Nice, well written update. Carry on.
Good update mate! Keep them up :)

Former Madrid Man Joins Braga

Former Real Madrid defensive midfielder Mahamadou Diarra has today joined Portuguese side S.C. Braga on a free transfer.

"It's a great club that is waiting for a trophy. I think I can help Braga win the league. They have brought a new manager in who is passionate about the club, Armando Azevedo, he has high ambitions for the club and I share those ambitions with him. I'm very excited about playing for Braga. said the Malian Diarra.

"His history of clubs that he has played for shows his level of quality that he will bring to the current side. Real Madrid paid €26 million for him. €26 million! And before that, Lyon had put a €40 million price tag on him. He played in the Premier League in England last season which shows he still has talent" Said Diarra's new boss Azevedo.

FourFourTwo magazine commented on the signing saying "Diarra will provide agression, tactical awareness, toughness and discipline that other players lack. I think he will be a great coup for Braga, even at the ripe age of 32 years old"

According to reports, Diarra will be paid around £5,000 per week at S.C. Braga.

Very good signing mate, especially for free.
Nice signing, at a very low wage!
Josh: Thanks, he really fits in with my tactic which I will be updating about soon

Pauker Thanks, took a lot of negotiating though :)

Three More Join Azevedo

Three more players have joined Armando Azevedo's Braga revolution in the past few days.

"Today is a good day for me and the fans of S.C. Braga. Today we have completed the signings of three Portuguese players. Let me welcome first of all Nuno Gomes! You will all be familiar with Gomes after his previous spell here before joining Blackburn. He is a Portuguese national legend, making 79 appearances and scoring 29 goals for the Portugal national team"

"It's great to be back here again for another spell as I loved my previous one here. I'm here to prove that I've still got that talent at 36 years old. I'm here to win or as Armando here would say it 'I'm here to be a champion!'" I simply smiled as I looked at my new signing.

"Gomes joins us on a free transfer after being released from Blackburn.'now onto our second signing! Braga fans, please welcome Duda!"

"Thank you Armando, now I've been playing in Spain, Malaga to be accurate and at my age of 33 I wanted to return to my home country after spending my senior career in Spain. I spoke to Armando whilst discussing the contract and Braga fans, you've got yourself a superb manager here. He's passionate, brave and cares. Cares about his colleagues, the club, the fans. Everything"

"Thanks Duda, we agreed a £200,000 deal with Malaga for Duda, a bargain if you ask me! Now finally, I'd like all you Braga fans out there to welcome central midfielder Tiago to the club! Like Gomes he previously had a spell at Braga, welcome again to Tiago!"

"I'm delighted to be back again at Braga. They helped me to start off my career now I hope to help you fans out there who put so much pride and faith into me before so now I want to repay you with great performances and trophies! Trophies are a guarantee under Azevedo, trust me, if you don't believe me, you need to. This man will give you glory and titles, I promise!"

"Thanks Tiago, Braga and Atlético Madrid agreed a £500,000 deal to buy Tiago."

Very good signings mate!

Tactics

10:37 - Just after training

Once training had finished I'd called all the players in just to clarify our tactics this season. We were going to apply these in our pre-season friendly's in a few days.

"Morning boys, how are we all doing?"

"Fine boss"
they all said in perfect unison.

"Now, I called this meeting to show you all the tactic we're using this season. The tactics that will make us champions!" I shared a smile with the team as I said my most common cliche
"Now, let me find my tactics board... Where is it?... Ah there it is!" I said as I stood up the wooden board with the miniature Braga kits on.

We play this formation because it gives us strength in defence and attach and it also creates a little flair to the defence for when we win the ball back in our half. The amount of defensive players will overpower the oppositions attacking force of 1, 2, maybe 3. If there are reinforcements coming before we make a tackle, the wingers must track back and help out, you'd be doing no good stood still on the wing while the opposition is finding a way into our box"

"We're lucky that we've brought in a good keeper in Eduardo who has international experience as well as being here before. Eduardo will be our number 1 keeper this season but defence, you must protect him"

"At right back we have brought in a Braga B member as back up so welcome to the first team Tomás Dabó. But our first choice right back this season is Baiano, Baiano you must support both departments, getting down the wing on the attack and helping out when defending. I'm sure you'll do a good job but remember that your place isn't safe now with Dabó coming in"

"Our center backs this season are Nuno André Coelho and Kadu, Nuno, you've been here longer than Kadu so you know what type of football is played here in Portugal but he may need a bit of help, I'm sure he'll pick it up soon anyway. You two need to be quite far apart, not too much but a moderate distance and if a man gets past one of you, the other needs to be behind sweeping yes?"

"Our left back this season is Joaozinho who has been playing at this level of Portuguese football for a few years now and he knows the game well. Make sure, just like Baiano, you support the attack and defence yeah?"

"The defensive midfielders this season are Custódio and our new signing Mahamadou Diarra, as I said in the press conference where I introduced the fans to Diarra, he brings aggression and discipline to the plate. Now Custódio, you've been playing for us for 4 years and spent most of your career playing at this level of Portuguese football. I want you to be mainly helping out the defence but try supply the wingers and strikers as a sort of deep lying playmaker sort of player"

"On the right wing, as usual its Alan. He's been with us for years and I'm sure he loves the club. He will be our captain this season, so all of you must respect him yes? You know your job Alan, get down that wing, cut inside whatever feels best and try feed in those passes for the strikers to get onto or maybe, if it feels right have a go!"

"On the left wing we have our new signing, Duda. I'm sure you've all got to know him since he joined so hopefully he can link up with everyone around him. Duda, just do what I told Alan to do run down the wing or whatever and just sort of do what your mind tells you, you're experienced enough!"

"Finally, the strikers! You know who you are, what you do, what you don't do. You score goals. That's the only objective I'm giving you. Éder, you did very well last season in the goals department and Rusescu! You have a very good scoring record in Romania for Steaua, carry it on here we might give you a permanent deal!"

A strong team mate! Why Raul Rusescu doesn't have a print screen? :P

Thanks! Do you plan buying Eduardo or Raul?
Very detailed update! Good tactic to run that. :)

Unknown Player In Braga Training

Yesterday, Reporters saw an unknown player training with Braga's under-21 team. They recognised every single players face but one.

If reports are to be believed, the player was signed on a trial basis until the end of pre-season by new S.C. Braga manager Armando Azevedo.
Reporters couldn't manage to catch Azevedo to discuss who this mystery man was. Portuguese football experts have said he looked a lot like former Arsenal and Panathinaikos winger Quincy Owuso-Abeyie who has been available on a free transfer since the end of last season when his contract with Greek football giants Panathinaikos F.C. ended.

Armando Azevedo has already brought in four signings costing 700k, Mahamadou Diarra on a free transfer and Portuguese internationals Nuno Gomes (on a free transfer), Duda and Tiago from Malaga and Atlético Madrid.
AAN: It really depends how much money I'm given and how they get on this season but its definitely a possibility!

Josh: Thanks :)
